lol. He is talking about Anambra not Onitsha? Are you normal?

if you check the thread, you'll see I'm not the only person questioning the idea of generalising a state from one location. One thing about the social media is the inability to assess the mental state of some of you. As a result, kindly engage in something more meaningful to cure your loneliness and refrain from filling up my mentions with half-baked thoughts.
Bro zukwanike.
Leave all this epistle, the post wasn't about onitsha.

Please how do multinationals like Mobil qualify for what you wrote below huh

Are you sure you know what you are saying or just rambling huh

By the way, are these multinationals headquartered in Lagos because of the federal seaports and airports that have been there forever since it was made the FCT after the 1914 amalgamation?
In lag at VI.. my guy hot a job with an imaginary secret firm... Whose address is a small bungalow with high gate... They ended up being an international surveying and geoinfomatics firm which is a sub contractor for numerous oil firms in the fields in porthahourt....

She was an accountant and sh was being paid 450k as it 2012.. u won't see anyone in that compound but they constantly correspond with workers in different field in swamp environment in the Niger Delta...

Inasmuch as the above write up are entirely true, the language barrier is same.

In Lagos, you can't speak English because you'll get a response in Yoruba. It is logical to find northerners more in Lagos than in anambra. The SE is predominantly Igbo speaking region. Walk up to anyone and speak Igbo and you'll get a response back in igbo.

1. Initially onitsha has lots of agberos but today Lagos is leading in terms of agberos!
2. In SE as a whole, Catholic and Anglican seems to be the dominate churches there and hence must not be criticize, unlike in Lagos or SW.
3. In anambra, most people are not interested in white collar jobs, or getting government jobs they prefer doing business instead unlike in Lagos
4. In anambra and SE generally, their women are highly Manipulative and strictly in the lookout for money, they are extremely money conscious 💰 they call their SIMP men "odogwu" , while in Lagos and SW as a whole, their women are also in the lookout for money too, but too dull to manipulate a man.
U mean too dull or they are not just as desperate as the ya.mleg.gers?
We don't breed dull women here, we breed girls who knows how to work....cus we don't like caging women..we re nt animals

Lagos/ SW women are Not too dull to manipulate men, majority of them have conscience and fair of consequences unlike Igbo ladies, them no send u how u get the money if u like steal or rituals.

If I am blessed with weath and success I'll relocate back to Anambra without a second thought.

If you want to live peacefully in Anambra without getting into trouble just learn the art of minding your business, don't be a glutton and working hard. Thats the secret.
It is this minding of ones businéss that increases crime here in Anambra. About two weeks ago, I was on my bed in my lodge in Awka when I jeard a girl screaming on the street and another guy repeatedly saying "Senior man abeg na".

Apparently a girl had been robbed on the streets and the guys around were begging the robber. Something that I know can never happen in Lagos.

8. In Anambra , both driver and persongers will reject money to the floor in cases of incorrect disputed price of fare... All allowing ur conscience judge u... In Lagos it results to fight...

10. In Anambra there is a few major fuel marketers mostly filled with unknown names

I am a living witness to the bolded.

hotseat:
Comparing Lagos - the Centre of Excellence - with other parts of the country is neither here nor there.

This is so because, unlike other parts of Nigeria, Lagos is a highly dynamic city where it's most cosmopolitan nature is a blend of the good, the bad and the very ugly.

It's for this reason, perhaps, it's often referred to as "a no man's land" !

The city has a way of turning a most docile, calm and sympathetic person into a most uncaring and indifferent fiend.

This is not their making but that of the dog-eat-dog atmosphere where all man is for himself and God for us all.

Lagos is simply in a world of his own!

However, Eko Oni Baje o!

Crime:

In Lagos, the criminals are more direct, they'll walk up to you usually with overwhelming numbers, point a knife or gun at you and ask you to submit your phone.

In Anambra, criminals rely on cunning and trickery, you'll see a respectable looking man who will approach you and ask for your help insisting that he needs to make an urgent call, you give him your phone, never expect it back.

The number 1 is applicable to whole state in Nigeria, Lagos is the only state you can buy all food items in the market by 4am. And workers are already on the road to work by 5am.

Before Lagos, I left home for work by 8:45 and got to work in 10 minutes. Lagos is different ball game, even though the work distance is the same, it took me 2 hours (that's if I leave home before 6am)

Lagos conductor made me lapped a lady with a voluminous azz and I alighted with the hardest erection known to mankind. It wasn't my fault, but biology and whatever brand of perfume she wore. I knew she felt it, I wish we have the abilities to control our serpent salutation, but this guy is triggered by visuals and touches.

In summary...!

Life is on a faster lane in Lagos than practically anywhere else in the country.

If you have lived and worked in the heart of Lagos, then relocate to Abuja, Imo, Delta, Kano, etc, you will be shocked at how even your heart rate slows down... A huge burden is practically lifted off your shoulders.

Even your aging process slows down remarkably.

Many Lagosians don't realize it, but they aren't truly LIVING... Just existing! Some have never breathed clean air in years.

I lived in Lekki for 9 years and in Sangotedo Ajah for 7 years now.

Both are in Lagos, 30 minutes drive on Sunday morning. 2 hours drive Monday - Friday after 5am.

In Lekki I am not afraid to come back or go out at any time, Lekki has 24 hours life. Some shops are open, people are moving around 24/7.

In Sangotedo Ajah Farmvill & Canaan Estates. Shops and Schools open from 8:30am and close by 10pm. You hardly see people, on the street after 10pm.

So, not every part of Lagos is fast paced.

You are right... I was actually referring to most parts of Lagos.

The part you mentioned is a very small exception, and let's be honest... That's not somewhere average workaday individuals stay.

You even made me laugh when you talked about 2 hours drive! 2 hours?!! And that's your definition of "non stressful"?!! What about those who don't have the luxury of cars?!!

Spending an hour just to get to work in most parts of Nigeria is the perfect definition of STRESS! grin

Of course, safety would be better due to more security availability compared to less populated cities... I never disputed this.

Well, I understand your defensiveness chief... But let's not nitpick over details.

Fact remains that Lagos is a Metropolis...! Due to no fault of it, chaotic living is normalised.

Everything I wrote about Lagos is true. The amount of stress one endures there in just a month, you won't experience within a year in most cities in Nigeria and Africa.

Lagos traffic is very stressful!

Traffic after Cross-Over Service from Lekki to Sangotedo was hell! Some of us spent 4 hours on the same road, from 2am - 6am.

3 of my cousins have relocated from Lagos to Calabar and Ebonyi state, because of traffic.

it's good to say the area you are in Anambra so you don't sound ridiculous when you make certain claims. Someone who lives in Onitsha will find it ridiculous when you say they don't open for business on time.

Yoruba tailors are BETTER trusted by the clients? of course that is very untrue. That arguably use to be the case in the late 90s and early 2000s owing to fashion trends when kaftan used to be the dominant native wear. fashion/designers have tripled since 2010. While it may be the main occupation of Yorubas in Anambra, they are still a small minority compared to the so called indigenes (a lot of them are from Enugu, Ebonyi etc)
I think building sites also have significant number of Yorubas and Togolese.

Transport in Anambra can't be called cheap o except that of Lagos is up the roofs.
Guess you haven't lived in both states too long. If you do, you will see that most of what he said is true. I schooled in Awka and have lived most part of my life in Lagos. His analysis is 95%. 5% will be for the other parts of the state with slight differences.

This one hasn't been to Northern Nigeria.

The cost of living including house rent is generally lower in the north than in the south.
