What if the people he robbed don die or they are your own family members.

What is the injustice in sentencing an armed robber?

It is a shame that the country is celebrating a crook, not even a repentant one.
His gang member is still in jail because he was a full adult at the time.
did you read his story at all or you just open your mouth whaaaaaa and talk rubbi***? What he said it's typical of what the police are doing to innocent people.

IMO, this fellow doesn't look like someone who spent a decade+ in a Nigerian correctional facility.

There is something fishy behind this story.

This life sha na woah. Who knows that he might be kept for a purpose. Secondly, his mate may still be in the same spot he left them. If this predicament didn't happen to him I don't think he will ever have the opportunity of meeting Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke the governor of the State of Osun.

How come you have a different version, where did you get this your tori from?
The story is out there, it's always been, it was reported, but people pick and choose what suit's them because they have the same criminal and lawless mentality.

He was an armed rober, he robbed innocent people and witnesses testified against him.

They were given sentences based on each charge, robbery with weapon carried a death sentence and years in jail for stealing fowl.

.. sadly, people focused on the fowl instead of the henious crime he committed.

The man is an armed robber.

Stealing or robbery? Why is it so hard to report this story correctly? If you guys believe robbery shouldn't carry a capital punishment that's fine. Just don't lie about the nature of the crime.
Give us the detail of the crime but make sure it is a correct narration, as not to bear false witness, which is against biblical injunction.

I would someone with arm only go and steal fowl, never rob the people in the houses but went straight to the fowl garden to go and steal just one. Then, you ask yourself, is the guy hungry of fowl or what?
The story I read about him few days ago, was there was a police officer where he went to steal the said fowl and I conclude been what police officers are, he was the one that rope the guy and brought out his gun to implicate the guy. They are not just doing that, it seems they are trained from their police school to do that.
Common sense should tell anyone, how would someone or thief go and rob with arm in his hand and the only thing he could rob was a fowl and not rob any house but fowl garden and only took just one fowl away. Something is fishing in the sentencing of the guy.

Meanwhile, stealing alone does not attract capital punishment but stealing with arms is what attracts capital punishment. He was sentenced to death because they claimed he was armed to rob.

Does the narration even makes sense to you if you have had deep thought on it? Please which armed robber go to steal only fowl with gun in his hand in Nigeria? Armed robber we are talking about here with gun. He didn't rob people in the house with his gun but went straight to the backyard to go and rob fowl garden and steal just one fowl. I pray Nigeria doesn't happen to you before you disbelieve this their nonsense story.
Common sense, armed robber with gun to go and rob fowl garden and not people living in the houses where the fowl garden is and not only that stole only one fowl. You ask yourself, is he an hungry robber?
