Bombblacks:
An anonymous cryptocurrency trader turned $55,000 into $1 million by investing in the memecoin Kekius Maximus (KEKIUS) after Elon Musk changed his account name to Kekius Maximus, causing the coin's value to surge. The trader, identified by the wallet address 0x33a57f4e88c9ceb0788eb41a407e51533d70cc4d, bought 8.448 million KEKIUS with 16 ETH. The coin's value increased by 980% following Musk's name change, resulting in $950,000 of unrealized profits for the trader. This incident highlights the speculative nature of meme coins driven by social hype.
Did he get out before the rug pull?
That is the question

The benefit of your kind can’t be overstated…. Me and my friend got to the airport, we saw one black working there and we proceeded to ask her some questions.

After helping us and asking if we’re Nigerians, she helped us with boarding pass and took our bags to check in.

More than 200people Dey line for bag drop, but she took ours straight grin

The other time at intercontinental, one Dudu gave me and my friends free breakfast even though only two of us lodged at the hotel grin

Democracy in danger in South Korea.
The ex president security team blocked the investigators/police from arresting their principal.

If sh!t happened in Africa or Middle East... The EU, IMF, NATO, G7 etc will impose sanctions on the former president or even sponsor rebels to take over the government.

If u have time, watch Kenny Ogungbe's appearance on Nedu's Honest Bunch podcast. He shared more light plantashun boiz feud, signing 2face, the feud and history around the song "African queen", etc

It is an interesting watch.

Omo! Kennis music crawled so a lot of record label and new school artists could fly. Imagine carrying CD's of their artistes in Ghana-must-Go bags to UK, South Africa, America, etc to sell

I watched the first half hour. E no easy to watch 2.5 hours of image whitewashing. LOL.

On a more serious note though the PR job and image rebranding Kenny and D1 did for Nigerian music can’t be quantified.

This was a time when Nigerians themselves did not really like Nigerian music like that. No matter how wretched the Naija song was, Kenny would still call it a “haat new video”.

Omo!

I am one of the few people during my time growing up who never liked foreign music, I was never a fan of dem 2pac, B.I.G, Eminem, NAS and the rest of them. Kennis music/AIT jamz came at a time I really needed Nigerian music and I just can't appreciate them enough for the work they put in to promote Nigerian music and laid the road map to put our music on a global screen.

I always look forward to Friday evenings for prime time Jamz to air for that "haat new video" like you rightly put it grin

Although I know he won't come to the podcast to talk about the unfavorable contracts they may have given to some of the artistes under them, but one must credit them for paving the way while others never thought Nigerian music can ever get a global appeal. I mean the South Africans had a head start with DSTV's Channel O available to put their sounds out there, yet Naija still caught up with them with the indefatigable work of Kennis Music.

These guys supposed get national honours when next Tinubu gives out OON,OFR, CON and co.

This particular podcast appearance by Keke has changed my mindset about some things. Before now, I always believe when people say shiiit about u and know it is not true, u should not dignify such person with response and just allow them to wallow in their self delusion; sooner or later the person will tire out and people will forget whatever nonsense that person says about u.

However, I have learnt from this 2face vs Blackface story that when u allow a person so much shiiit about u and don't address it on time, people will tend to believe that shiiit over time and see u as a bad person.

For so many years most of thought 2face did Blackface dirty by stealing African queen they co-wrote , made it into a best selling music and never gave credit to Blackface while blackface was down and facing serious financial challenge. Now Keke is coming out with fact acknowledging that the song was registered in the name of 2face and Blackface from inception. If this fact had been put out back then, all those pity party Blackface was faming would've gone to dust.

I'm sure a lot of people sided with Blackface seeing 2face from the lens of a wicked friend who took credit for a joint work and never bothered to help his "brother" when he was down. His silence did more harm than good. I understand Kele saying because he was an employee back then and was always on radio everyday, he didn't want to be having a rofo-rofo fight with Blackface, but 2face should've addressed the issue long time ago.

Although I know 2face's commercial success must have really affected Blackface mentally sha.

Yes o, that they did.

As much as I wasn't a fan of Late Raymond Dokpesi while alive, this podcast made me appreciate his impact on the Nigerian Music industry.

The man gave dem Kennis platform to build their craft (Raypower and AIT) and they in turn used their platform to make superstars out of youths that could've wasted away.

Politics dey mess people up sha. His(Dokpesi's) misadventure in Nigerian political space really overshadowed the good work he did in the media and entertainment space.

They really laid the foundation for lots of Nigerian youth to take Afropop/Afrobeats seriously.

So many kids and adults whose brains have refused to develop with their body parts have invaded Nairaland.

They can't even make meaningful contribution and stay on topic.

The threads that make sense nowadays are the ones that don't make front page; once a thread makes front page u will just start seeing some brain dead contributions everywhere on the thread.

Primal Sporting FC won the inaugural Lagos Liga football tournament, defeating Applebee FC in a dramatic final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena to win the N50 million grand prize.

The match ended 1-1 after regulation and extra time, with Primal Sporting winning 9-8 in a nail-biting penalty shootout. Lagos Liga, a 7-a-side football tournament, kicked off on December 6, 2024, at Campos Stadium with 16 teams. It delivered electrifying football moments and culminated in an unforgettable final showdown.

There was the Kennis Easter Fiesta too at Kuramo beach where artistes locally and internationally performed right on the beach before Star Trek made it bigger. Kids couldn't attend so we just watched on TV.
The DAAR Easter party at AIT/Raypower Headquarters at Alagbado.

Then the big one: AIT/DAAR Communications Christmas Fiesta from the beginning of December to the first week of January which held without fail at the then Gateway Hotels (now American-I-can't-remember-the-suffix-right-now Hotel) right on the boundary between Ogun and Lagos.

Accompanied by a chaperone who pay an entrance and pool fee for their wards, children had access to everything, including entering the Santa Claus booth for gifts. Gifts sponsored by manufacturing companies like Dufil/Indomie, Cadbury, Nestle...who were nestled in axis.

Imagine how it felt for us kids seeing artistes and celebrities like the Papa Ajasco crew we watched and adored on television in person, and interacting almost daily as long as our parents could bring us to the venue daily for a month.

Then there were their OAPs Slim Steve, Tito da Fire, and Tolu Alatisé (I think?) who did everything to promote Nigerian artistes with interviews every evening and at these festive events too.

Raymond Dokpesi was the bomb.

To be blunt it is a reflection of Nigeria as is. You are a minority in Nigeria. When internet access was expensive, you were in a majority on Nairaland and so you were in a bubble. Now internet is accessible to all, and you are back to being a minority.

A lot of things we find weird or bizarre or distasteful are actually the way the average Nigerian thinks.

It is what it is.

U know ball!

That Kennis Easter fiesta produced a lot of super stars . Some young up and coming musicians got signed after their performances at the easter fiesta. I remember how we usually look forward to watching clips of the easter fiesta few weeks after easter when they air them bit by bit for weeks on Prime time Jamz.

Omo, there's just this nostalgic feeling that comes with reliving those memories. Almost everyday when I pass where Kurami beach used to be , I just shake my head because the future generation will never know where is now called Eko Atlantic city used to be Bar Beach and Kuramo beach where fun seekers go to have a nice time during festivities. Most younger generation won't know the number of stars that were made on the sandy beach.

Dokpesi really opened up that Alagbado axis at a time most people wouldn't go beyond Iyana Ipaja. The last time I was around AIT early December, I couldn't but marvel at how the whole place now looks like a city.

I get u, but some things are just so weird and u cant but wonder how somebody with functioning brain will express some distasteful opinion and be proud about it.

This morning, I saw a lengthy post on Facebook by all these emergency bloggers that are farming Mark Zuckerberg's money.

She was reacting to the Dj Kulet and her husband's marital issue that made the news last week. So DJ Kulet issued a disclaimer that she is no longer with her husband of 8 months because she discovered to be a randy man who has not only slept with anything in skirt but also slept with a 13-year-old minor under her roof. She released a video where the husband was confessing to the allegations and was blaming the devil. The mother of the minor was heard in the video trying to make a case for the randy DJ Kulet's husband and she seem not to be angry unlike DJ Kulet. The mother of the minor was willing to have the whole issue swept under the carpet and the randy husband 'forgiven'

Now back to the Facebook blogger's post, she was literally blaming DJ Kulet. She said DJ Kulet was wrong to have exposed her husband and should've known her husband likes to have sexx regularly. She blamed the wife for not always making herself available and being responsible for why the husband had to look outside for sexxual satisfaction. She also said after the wife found out about him sleeping with a minor, she should've prayed with her husband and further seek spiritual help for him. She said because the wife could not cover her husband's shame, no other man will be willing to marry her.

I was shocked that a human(not to mention a woman) would write all of that. I mean how did she exonerate the husband and then blamed the wife for his atrocious actions? The funny thing is even when people were challenging her in the comment section, she said that was her opinion on the matter and she's at liberty to share it on her page. I was too dumfounded to even react, I just read the post and jumped it past.
