Hello everyone, because of the AD delay I experienced in 2018/19. I decided to take my undergraduate in Nigeria, and I am done now with a first class degree in Computer Science.
I want to go for masters and I'm considering Germany again, could someone please brief me on how the waiting period is now at the german embassy in Lagos. I'd really appreciate.

A friend i urged to apply few weeks back got AD today...
The issue on ground now is that he has no AL and BA atm
His appointment is scheduled for 27.01.2025

Should he still.show up at the embassy ?

December 2022 I was still learning Spanish. I hadn’t even started applying to schools in chile yet. It’s crazy that someone is waiting for visa appointment since then till now. What if he’s denied a visa. What happens to the 2 years?

Yes it does.
The upload of documents has begun already in the opportunity card route.

You're not in a good spot. Admission letter is the most critical aspect of the interview. Message your school asap and see if they can issue you a new one. If you read the bottom part of your AD, you'll notice they're trying to be more strict on those without admission or SL/BA

Write to the prog cord to inquire if your admission is still valid, if it is a yes ...
You can proceed with it to the embassy and if it is a no...
Do cancel the appointment and reapply again...
Under what CAT did you book ?

Its not yet active for student visas. So far, that's the medium used fo the opportunity card. Its kinda fast

If you don't have admission and BA/SL, just forget it. You can't postpone your appointment anylonger. They'll ask you to cancel

With your degree you fall in CAT A so you can apply and get AD within weeks but ensure you have AL and possibly BA or SL to present
But dont apply without AL most importantly

If you've gotten an appointment date (CAT B). Can you share when you applied and when you're told to come for the interview.

I applied since Dec 2022 I'm yet to get an appointment date.

I applied October 2022 and I got date two weeks ago scheduled for 21st January 2025

Hello house, please is there anyone here who has been waiting for approval mail from the German Embassy Lagos for student visa? How long have you been waiting, cos it’s been 4 months since my interview, yet no call from the embassy requesting for my insurance or passport. Please help.

Should I send them a mail to remind them? My school has given a deadline to submit my resident permit.
