I have a question please, with the new online visa applications portal. For those people who have booked and waiting for appointment date for interview. Are these people going to start all over again on this Portal. Thank you. |

cydophobia:Good question, but does the supposed “new” online visa application portal work? As far as I know it is still not available for use for any other category except for work visa and chancekarte I think. I guess we should keep an eye out for updates. |

I just noticed that there is a new portal for work permit visas here. Could you please clarify the changes and the current duration to obtain a work visa, both with and without approval from the Federal Employment Agency? Thank you for your quick response, and happy new year to everyone here at the Gurus! |

Hello Everyone! I went for my Visa Interview in November 2024 and till date no Update from the Embassy. Please how can someone track the Visa Process after the Interview. The Embassy don‘t seem to reply to emails these days. I have messaged the ABH and the Bundesverwaltungsamt in Berlin as well, both of which haven't received my Visa Application. Please does anyone have any other ideas? |
| Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by magnificient7: 11:08pm On Jan 13, 2025 |
Kinglaz:Unfortunately, most people here seemed to be piping low with their visa processes. It's abit difficult to now track what's the embassy is doing. But you may have to check or find out if those who had their interviews in April, May, June and July have been processed, November seemed more recent. |
| Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Enjay1998: 6:18am On Jan 14, 2025 |
Kinglaz:Hi It now takes approximately 4 months before embassy will process your visa after interview. If your documents are complete, they will send them to the ABH. If not they will email you to submit the missing documents. Do you need document verification or are you exempted? |

Good morning Sir/Ma, Situation I'm currently waiting for a Blue Card work visa in Germany, which my employer submitted on December 12, 2024, through the fast-track application process. However, the case manager has informed my employer that due to a backlog in Frankfurt, the decision will take over six months. Concern This delay is unfavorable to my contract and employment. I'm exploring alternative options to expedite the process. Proposed Solution I've read through post here and found that some individuals have successfully applied for the Blue Card visa through the German Embassy in germany embassy in nigeria, receiving a decision within a month. I plan to suggest to my employer that I apply directly through the German Embassy in Nigeria, uploading the necessary documents for a preliminary decision. This time, I will apply solo, and my family will join later to ensure my job security. Request I would appreciate advice on this approach. Is it feasible, and what are the potential risks and benefits? |

I am excited to share that I have recently received my visas for a two-year master's program in Bremen. I am married and have two children, I am considering the best approach for my family to join me. Given that the family reunion visa process can take over a year, would you advise me to book an appointment for the visa application now? |
| Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by MedBose: 11:15am On Jan 16, 2025 |
Efakwugideon:Yes, do so ASAP. It could take approximately 2 years from when you register for an appointment until they eventually join you in Germany. In the meantime, after you resume at Bremen, focus on your study and saving for the requisite costs that you’d incur to have your family join you. Because during your family’s interview they would have to prove that you have the capacity to cater for them (accommodation, salary, health insurance etc.). Congratulations once again🥳 |

Hello everyone, Any update on FRV? Has anyone had their appointment interview this month? Regarding the appointment mail, which month in 2023 are they at now? Also, has anyone gotten concrete information on the wait timeline for those that registered for an appointment in 2024? Please share updates. |

Go online from 12am. That's the only sure way to get an appointment. It's almost impossible to get one during the day. Jaynyra: |
