People will low population can commit the highest number of crime per capital. This is a self evident truth.

Men for example commit the highest number of crime per capital, yet they are not statistically more (2x) than women in Nigeria.

Ibos commit the highest number of drug trafficking in Nigeria and yet they are not the majority.

Blacks are more in prison in USA but yet they are just 13% of the population.

Southerners have the highest number of internet fraudsters in Nigeria but yet we are not more populated than the North.

The results are fair enough.

The Yoruba have by far the highest number of internet user whether on IG, Twitter, TikTok, or Facebook.

If that poll had been only Yoruba and Ibos, most of the minority tribes would have poll for Ibos and that is why we usually have skewed data before.

If you spell out the ethnicities, the Yoruba will always trump in every metrics.

Each time South West, especially Lagos, ranks first in bad things, some people blame Igbo people in Lagos for the ranking. Now that the same South West, especially the same Lagos, has ranked first in internet usage, I hope that the same people will credit the ranking to the Igbo people that live in Lagos.

Do you even realize that in the census conducted by the colonial government, the Igbo were recorded as the most populous tribe?
.igbos were the most populous tribe until Nigeria started doing census themselves.

In figures published by NYSC and UME (before Dibu Oerinde stopped releasing the UME data), the Igbo consistently produced more graduates, more doctors, and more engineering students than any other group.

Inec doesn't release data by tribe rather they do so by state.

The data from telecommunications switches and data center doesn't also reflect tribes but on a state wide and it still doesn't take onto account subscribers that on transit.


I’ve traveled extensively, and in countries like China, India, and the UAE—especially Dubai—the Igbo outnumber other Nigerians combined. In Dubai and China, the Igbo are the only Nigerians with retail shops. No other Nigerian tribe comes close. The respect for the Igbo in Dubai was so profound that Arab traders would sing Igbo songs to me when they realized I was Igbo. No other Nigerian tribe carries that energy or global recognition.

In the United States, many Igbo remain undocumented and avoid official recognition, which skews any numbers. Across Africa, Igbo communities thrive, from Sierra Leone to Liberia and Equatorial Guinea, where the Igbo are recognized as an official tribe. For European countries like Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, I don’t have current data, but the Igbo presence is undeniable. No other Nigerian group replicates this global dominance and influence.

20k polling number is enough to reach a conclusion. Many Yoruba will still be on Twitter that won’t see the poll.

Also Naija_PR is not affiliated with any tribe so the sample distribution makes sense.

Even telecom data give credence to that fact.
