According to him, “Lagos is the biggest loser in the reform bill because most companies headquartered in the state currently remit their VAT there due to their centralised finance departments”.Reversed psychology!! After lagos has stolen from Nigeria for so long with such undue advantage..and these iragbiji migrants don’t seem to appreciate the efforts of Nigerians who contributed to its development and growth! |

The biggest beneficiaries of this tax bill are Anambra and Abia then maybe Kano... This are the centers people shop from to get to the final consumer This are the whole salers and probably where States would tax VAT from since it's impossible to tax Shop to shop |

I'm in support of tax reform, but I'm beginning to get uncomfortable with the incessant narrative that Lagos State is the loser. I hope there's no hidden clauses that's being planned on smuggling in? Like Alpha beta type of scheme? |

Its only an economic illiterate that would not realise that Lagos and Rivers will lose in the short term once this Tinubu tax bill is implemented. However, its only an economic and historical illiterate again that will not recognise that Lagos will recover, collect taxes better and at the end of the day be better off once a bill like this is implemented. This is one of the first steps to true federalism and autonomy and this is why smart people in the south support this and the Lazy leaders of the North (who have all the population on paper and are logically suppose to gain from taxes on consumption) are having sleepless nights. Lazy leaders that cannot stand accountability but can eat from other peoples sweat. |

These people truly have hidden agenda. If Lagos state is the biggest lover then why are they disturbing themselves about going on with the reform. Why is Tinubu insisting on it. They should allow the North to enjoying their benefits cos they are not ready for the reform. Everything about these people is shrouded in mystery. |

mrvitalis:If this bill is approved, lagos having refinery, sea ports and air ports is alone to generate enough internal revenue for them, not to talk about real estates, big company headquarters, big hotels, populations and etc in Lagos state. Lagos state will tend to gain more in revenue and internally utilize it well for the state growth. I'm fully in support of tax reform |
