The players just switched off at a time when it mattered most. We can blame Arteta and the management of the club for not getting a formidable bench that can come in to change the game; but we can also blame the first team players too for letting us down when it matters most. Two truths can coexist.

Trossard was terrible yesterday, Odegaard was misplacing passes and not at his usual best, Partey was very bland in the middle ; he also misplcaed passes that it took the much maligned Jorginho coming on to change the Tempo of the game from the middle. Skelly was busy doing overconfidence all over the pitch tho one can excuse that one for inexperience. Havertz was playing like Ogbono but then Arteta and Edu are the one responsible for that nonsense .

In summary, yesterday's match was lost due to our first team players swicthing off when it mattered most and Arteta not getting a solid bench. As we dey blame Arteta make we dey blame the players too that get paid millions yearly and didn't turn up when it mattered most.

All true. Especially the complacency of the players.


But I'll maintain that, like I've said since this season started, that Guava no fit give Apple. These guys can't bring trophies. They're not the firepower needed to make that happen. Even if they can, the quality of opponents and the stubbornness of our manager ruins a lot of stuff.


Imagine this was a cup final yesternight, these guys will mess up upfront. Mentality is approximate. We need players with a coach that can do what Mourinho did to those Man U players that even with injury and a thin squad, they could still win that Europa. They didn't fall apart.
