The Nigerian government, in collaboration with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society groups, has launched a nationwide campaign to combat prostitution in the country.

The initiative, tagged "Nigeria Against Prostitution" (NAP), aims to raise awareness about the dangers of prostitution, provide support for victims, and bring perpetrators to justice.

According to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), prostitution is a significant problem in Nigeria, with thousands of women and children forced into sex work every year.

"Prostitution is a form of modern-day slavery, and it's time we take a stand against it," said Julie Okah-Donli, Director-General of NAPTIP. "We urge all Nigerians to join us in this fight against prostitution and human trafficking."

The NAP campaign will involve a series of activities, including:

- Public awareness campaigns to educate Nigerians about the dangers of prostitution
- Training programs for law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders
- Provision of support services for victims of prostitution, including counseling, shelter, and vocational training
- Collaboration with international organizations to combat human trafficking

The government has also announced plans to strengthen laws and policies against prostitution, including increasing penalties for offenders and providing protection for victims.

"We are committed to making Nigeria a safe and prosperous country for all citizens, and we will not tolerate any form of exploitation or abuse," said a government spokesperson.

To join the fight against prostitution in Nigeria, members of the public can:

Nigerians will brutally fight prostitution this year 2025 wether online or offline.
Prostitution must be defeated in Nigeria wether they like it or not.

Fighting prostitution in Nigeria is not by eating fufu and egusi soup but by saying no to prostitution and by discouraging prostitution in Nigeria anywhere you go.

Good and worthy venture. Challenge comes with implementation.
