‘Two Officers’ Killed As Boko Haram Attack Police Station In Borno by InfoGuru118(op): 2:31am On Jan 10, 2025

The Borno state police command says Boko Haram terrorists have killed two officers in an attack on a police station in Gajiram, Nganzai LGA, News360 Nigeria reports.

In a statement on Thursday, Kenneth Daso, the command’s spokesperson, said the officers died from injuries after grenades thrown by the attackers landed on a shelter tent behind the division amid gunfire.

Daso said the grenades used by the terrorists were recovered during an on-the-spot assessment of the scene of the attack by Yusuf Lawal, the state’s commissioner of police.

He added that the bodies of the officers have been deposited at the state General Hospital in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno.

“On 9th January 2025, at about 12:10 a.m., unknown gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists attempted to invade Nganzai police division,” the statement reads.

“Gallant officers on duty repelled the terrorists. After a series of exchanges in gunfire, the terrorists threw hand grenades, which unfortunately landed on a shelter tent behind the division, fatally wounding two officers.

“During the scene assessment by the commissioner of police, two hand grenades were recovered by EOD-CBRN Base 13 Maiduguri. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the State General Hospital, Maiduguri.

“The commissioner commended the officers who stood their ground to prevent the attack and extended condolences to the families of the two officers who lost their lives.

“The command remains dedicated to ensuring safety and security for all and calls for calm as normalcy has been restored.”

Few days ago they attacked a military camp and killed several soldiers, burn lots of military equipment, they even released the pictures of their exploits, but Nigerian army will claim to kill boko haram with no picture evidence and they expect Nigerians to believe they are winning the war?

With all of these killings and abduction in the north, there are no military and police checks points in the north like they are littered in the east every two kilometres, how do you explain that?
