DrDoc:Sorry but you lack compassion. Leprosy is not even as virulent as you make it to be, certainly not like ebola or else the whole area would be a disaster zone by now. All of us went to school. |

Yes, leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease, can be transmitted from person to person, but it's not highly contagious The bacteria that causes leprosy can also remain in the soil for a while |

DrDoc:Quack Doctor. Who told you Leprosy is an airborne disease inasmuch as it is a communicable disease? Mycobacterium Leprae is the leprosy germ transmitted by the vector, cockroach. You can CONTACT it only when you share personal items or articles with the sufferer or have bodily contact with him or her. It is NOT AIR BORNE! |

DrDoc:It's ok. U can edit the post. Delete 'airborne' and insert 'contagious'. Yes indeed, you made a good observation there as the presence of the t sufferer there poses a public health hazard, but the line, 'a being' is dehumanizing. He's human like us. |

DrDoc:Pls don't let it get at you. Stop feeling bad. We all make mistakes but the mistakes notwithstanding, you've passed a strong public health information across to the Lagos State Government. I'm sure they'll do the needful. Relax |

madridguy:What's his offense. Reporting health hazard being constituted by an individual? Do you know if he has those toll free numbers to call Lagos state government? Why do you always read meanings to genuine complaints. You think you love Lagos or more committed than him? There is limit to eye service or support to an establishment. You goofed with your comments! |
