You can CONTACT it only when you share personal items or articles with the sufferer or have bodily contact with him or her.

He exposed his quackery there because no well trained medical personnel would describe a sufferer of any kind of infection in such a derogatory manner.

Leprosy is not an airborne disease. pls accept the correction about it. Secondly it can only be transmitted through close contact, skin to skin contact, water contamination and the bacteria *(mycobacterium leprae) that causes the disease is are not highly contegious.
