I didn’t start out as a good student – El-Rufai’s wife shares her school result sheet in reaction to video of teacher assaulting 3 year old pupil

https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/photo-output_1736426425.jpeg

Hadiza El-Rufai, wife of the former governor of
Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai, has urged parents
and guardians not to give up on their children,
revealing that she wasn’t a ‘good student’ while
growing up.

Mrs El-Rufai stated this in a post on X in
reaction to the viral video of a teacher, Stella
Nwadigo, assaulting a three-year-old pupil,
Abayomi Michael, during a class lesson.

The footage shows the female teacher at Christ
Mitots School located in the Ikorodu area of
Lagos, violently smacking the young child for
struggling with the lesson. The video sparked
widespread outrage, leading to the teacher’s
subsequent arrest on Wednesday.

To encourage parents and guardians, El-Rufai’s
wife published her 1964 report from Provincial
Girls’ School in Kano which showed she
struggled at school at first.

The former Kaduna First Lady also published a
letter from the management of Shekara Girls
Primary School in Kano asking her parents to
pay her school fees (£2) for the 1970/71 session.

One of her results showed she scored five out of
50.

Some are slow learners...

Some learn faster on their own rather than when be taught by a teacher.

Why did the teacher give remarks on subjects like reading, needle work and arts that she didn't take?

A woman doesn't have to have anything. Just have boobs and backside and look good. Afterwards, a foolish man will come and take care of you. Nothing makes men look stupid like beautiful girls.

Mummy Hadiza even has a result from a verifiable school, while a certain notorious narcotics drug trafficker and certificate forger claimed to have attended a school four years before it was founded, thereby becoming the guinea pig student used to test-run the school before it was established

During my primary school days, I always took the last position. My Dad will shake everyone and still shook my hand with same smile as others.

He changed my school to a private school, it became worst...I took the last position 56/56.

It was as if the earth should swallow me. I was scared he's gonna kill me. He came back and to my surprise he shook my hand and encouraged me to put more effort.

That smile and hand shake encouraged me to do all I can to make him proud. The next term, my position was 9/56. I saw my Dad so happy and proud of me and till today I don't do things to disappoint him.

I have never given up on anyone except Tinubu. 😆

Wow...

Your dad is a good man. I am impressed. But I don't know if your dad's "model"will work on everyone. I think these things depends on the individual involved. For example if you treat certain other children that way they will become lax, lazy and uninspired. I feel like no model fits all. It all depends on the child been dealt with. Some need some level of push to succeed. It workd with you because your dad knew the model or method to use. My point is know the kid and modify a method to suit him.

That been said, when I was a kid I remember our landlady used to beat her daughter mercilessly for coming 2nd in class. She would say the person that came first didn't have 2 heads. The day the daughter dropped to 3rd position she almost killed her with beating. I don't know how that would have shaped the daughter now that she has grown up.

I was an average kid in primary. My elder sister and dad used to encourage me by promising to buy me a bicycle if I improved my grade. It helped me improve from average to first 5 position and at a point I came 1st and I hanged long at 2nd position.

Did I get the bike..? Nah! grin but It helped me understand I can always do better if I make the effort to be better. That's the mentality it built in me!

Playful or not, you were and still are an average brain. It's very evident from your frequent incoherency and struggles with basic spellings and use of tenses.

Let's even ignore your flawed reasoning on several issues of public interest.

I quite agree with you on different strokes for different people. The best form of correction is love when the person least expect one. I do all I can to resist shouting or hitting my children. I mostly use silence and never talk about it and I see them feel very remorse and won't do it again. Silence most times sends more words.

Parents should not lose hope in their kids ,in my secondary school days o was bad in mathematics and was always dodging maths class but when I got to the university with the right guidance I was basically sitting for maths exams on my own without expo or buying results scoring excellent results .in life we keep putting efforts no matter the failures.

When did Government College Lagos affirm that Tinubu was their guinea pig student, used to test-run the school in 1970, four years before it was established in 1974?

Most of the time, if not always, it's better to assume you're foolish than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
