The first and last day I saw someone with leprosy I couldn't sleep for 3 days, when I first saw the girl or woman , I screamed, I was heartbroken and I asked and was told it's leprosy, I used to think it only existed in the past(bible) leprosy is the worst disease that could happen to any human being, may protect us all, amen. |

DrDoc:You must be a fake doctor. And how old are you? Your ignorance and your lack of empathy makes me believe you're just starting life. By the way, this is from "WHO" website... "The disease is not spread through casual contact with a person who has leprosy like shaking hands or hugging, sharing meals or sitting next to each other." |

kay29000:Smiles. If anything fluid drops off the body of a leprous person, is there need to reply your kinds? |

DrDoc:No, you're a medical charlatan. Nobody with a tinge of medical knowledge will refer to leprosy as airborne. |

Leprosy is not an airborne disease! This is a fact. I stand corrected, it is indeed airborne, but not highly contagious. |

DrDoc:Life can happen to anyone. Principle of Care requires we treat everyone with respect both in words and actions. I have shared the link with someone who holds a leadership position in the Ikeja community. I trust him to take proper actions |

DrDoc:Would you agree that for a disease to be considered a health hazard, it has to be highly contagious?! That is indeed the threshold, many people walk around with a non highly-contagious disease that doesn't show physical symptoms like leprosy! Leprosy is not a highly contagious disease! Nevertheless, the person suffering from this disease should be assisted. |

DrDoc:Leprosy is a contagious disease, not airborne, if it was, you should be infected by now given the number of people with it. THE MAJOR DANGER IS THOSE THAT GIVE THEM MONEY. Even though the bacteria may not survive long on money, there should be sensitization against giving them money, food and consumables are fine, nobody would want to share a meal with them anyway. |

Govt eyes can't be at every inch of an overcrowded city such as Lagos, yall should have atleast alerted the authority and then yarn here if nothing is done. Something tells me that you would have spoken against it if you see these people with leprosy being removed. Btw, substandard buildings in crowded are equally dangerous. DrDoc: |

In Yorubaland we used to isolate people with leprosy in far away locations. So whose Idea it is that they should now be in town? I heard they make the Kulikuli yall love to eat. |

I'm not defending anyone, but WHO has eugenics agenda and shouldn't be trusted, we should do the opposite of what they say. kay29000: |
