Army plans five star hotel in Enugu to diversify resources
The Nigerian Army is to build its first 5 star standard hotel in Enugu as part of its efforts to diversify its sources of funding, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, has said.He said the hotel would offer alternatives to soldiers in transit while it would also be accessible to the civilian population
He also said the hotel would be built under a public-private partnership arrangement

Here are some pics i took @ the site......
The building is located along the 82 div. road at the top of the hill were one can view the beautiful land scape of the coal city especially @ nite.
the building when completed will be the tallest in the city as Eugen is well known for its sophisticus manner especially in building a complex modern residential houses.

Its a Fg project not state project. Army owns the Lans that is even situated in. Enugu can't do anything about except maybe lobby the FG to complete it.

You are not getting my point, you have a nice point but the issue is that that land is owned by Nigerian army and its part of 82 division. That's where the major headache is. Unless the army will resell the land back to ensg with the hotel which I'm not sure it's possible in the first place

It's just like say that kaduna govt should take over a NDA to complete a project started by the military there

Yae but I feel that they are more important things to spend more on already. Lots of hotels by private individuals are currently coming up in enugu.

I get your point but when it comes to FG projects in the SE , lots of politics will be played in it. Look at the international enugu Airport, while others have been completed, enugu own is abandoned

Yes na. I heard that the FG only budgeted 10 million for the project in 2025 budget. Mbah is meant to commence the building of Air cargo terminal. I don't know how serious he is with the project
