Many of them are ignorant because of the information fed to them,
Delta, Rivers, etc arr not Igbo states but Igbo people who identify as Igbos plenty for those states. Igbo is not about states but the people identifying as the Igbo group.

What a sad day to Wike and all other Nigerians that have always for the sake of geopolitics and oil denied that Ikwere people are not Igbos. So it now means that PH is now an Igbo land. I remember that another Igbo man late Ambassador Ralph Uwaechue, from i think Ogwasi uku or Onicha igbu, another Igbo denying group in Delta State was former President of Ohaneze Ndigbo. The Nigerian government as a war policy deliberately tried to limit Igbos to the East but across the whole of Niger Delta(South South) and parts of North like border communities in Kogi, Benue are historically Igbos but sliced and cut off from their ibo kit and kins in the East. Wonder why Senator Ned Nwoko is now asking that the entire Delta North people who are all Igbos sliced into South South be given a State called Anioma as 6th State in East. They are obviously getting proud of their igbosness. After many years of denial, they have now seen that identity matters. Even if they deny being Igbos, those whom you want to please will never accept that you are not Igbos. Even Wike that claims he is not Igbo now has his original god father that made him Obi,/Akpor LGA Chairaman as President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo.
