Hello,
what rural community in Anambra do you think I can find cool headed people that are very clean, orderly, humble, kind, soft spoken, civil, loving, down to earth, etc even though they are very wealthy.
I wish to settle there for sometimes whenever I decide to head back to Anambra.
By the way, I from the state, but their ways, including Nigerians, are very strange to me. I've very different personality that's probably rare in Africa, and I don't want it changed through cultural assimilation or something like that.

And I like rural and clean environments with lots of nature. Maybe a village setting with mostly small orderly buildings and people on horses, donkeys, or bicycles.

This is out of touch with reality. For one, Lagos has a very hot real estate market, and there's a bigger market for goods and services in Lagos than most of Nigeria combined, so OBVIOUSLY, the average investor sees the prospect of greater returns on his investment. People looking to get value for their life's work don't make investments based on sentiments - which seems to be what you're advocating. The second reality is the security situation in the SE has further diminished its prospects as a serious investment destination. Look at countries like the US, UK and Australia's embassies traveling advisories for its citizens explicitly listing SE states as states not to visit in Nigeria due to militancy and kidnapping. We decided to make our home a hellhole, with militant IPOB/ESN activity and the sit-at-home idiocy, and attacks on police and security personnel giving cover to criminal bandits to plunder and ravage the state, so we should reap the rewards of our stupidity. Asaba's real estate market is thriving because our stupidity has made many Anambra sons run over there to escape the deteriorating security condition in Anambra. If you have land in Amuwo, Ago, Okota or wherever in Lagos, it's a no-brainer and a VERY easy choice for you to prioritize developing that land over whatever land you have in the village. One, you feel far more secure in Lagos. Two, your property has far greater value in Lagos. That is the practical reality on ground and sentiments about a few Igbo properties in Lagos being demolished cannot change that reality.
Seeing the way the discussion was going, efulefu/self-hating Igbo like you (that's if you're actually Igbo) and your impostor partners on here masquerading as Igbo were bound to show face at some point! It was always a question of when not if you will resurrect your moniker to continue with your asinine anti-IPOB/ESN campaign!

Dude, just how TF did IPOB or ESN make the south-east a 'hellhole by engaging in militant activity'!? Make claims you can defend! It's telling that you lot always avoid mentioning the criminal activities of the evil Nigerian gov't (esp' during the unfortunate Buhari years) and its soldiers of death (army, DSS and police) together with their sahelian herdsmen/bandits/terrorists partners in crime....you never mention the aforementioned scumbags, but heap all the blame for the insecurity in the south-east (which started AFTER Buhari became 'president' and deployed python dance to our region) on IPOB and ESN! Need i remind you that crime is found in ALL regions of the country, and that ESN was formed AFTER the Nimbo and Uzor-Uwani attacks when it became aparrent your god Buhari was unwilling to call his kinsfolk merchants of death to order! Before that jihadist animal became 'president' it was unheard of and unthinkable that Fulani criminals would feel so comfortable to come down to the south-east to commit mass murder of Igbo men, women and children in their homes at night, and engage in kidnapping....making billions in profit while at it! Had the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria not told his story and identified his kidnappers as Fulani (their leader spoke fluent Igbo remember?)....had he been murdered, you would have come online to open your annoying mouth to blame IPOB! Yes, there are Igbo criminals just as there are criminals in every other ethnicity! But any true Igbo reading this post, and who is true to themself, knows there are certain crimes we are not known for and certain lines we don't cross....crime or no crime! All these senseless and cold-blooded mass murder of innocents that seems to be happening a lot in the past few weeks in the south-east....THE EVIL MURDERERS RESPONSIBLE ARE NOT IGBO! Why would any Igbo go out and commit sensless and unprovoked mass murder against his own blud....WHY!? Make the whole sordid affair make sense to me! There's only one set of people known for this kind of gratuitious violence and mass murder of innocent people in cold-blood, and there's no prizes for guessing who they are!

I believe there is a sub-plot, in the wider anti-Igbo campaign, to try and demarket the south-east and negatively impact on our ecomomy, and they have chosen Anambra state to concentrate most of their attacks! Had i not had the benefit of hindsight and known the strength of anti-Igbo sentiment in Nigeria....had i not known how evil some Nigerians can be, even i would written off as fantansy what i now believe to be fact!

I also suspect another reason for these senseless attacks is to try and dissuade Igbo in Rivers and Delta states from forming a cohesive and unified front with their south-east kinsfolk! It's easy to see why a rabid, Igbo-hating 'one Nigerianist', who is presently milking Nigeria for their own pocket and region, would feel threatened and not want to see any kind of bond between Igbo in both zones!

IPOB exists because of the injustice meted out to the Igbo from the late 60s to date! End this injustice.....level the playing field for all, and watch IPOB die a natural death!

You can keep deluding yourself with self-comforting twaddle like this, but we're the absolutely sheepish reetards and national laughingstock who "sit at home" every Monday because a terrorist gang of jobless riffraffs have sown fear and apprehension in the minds of grown men and women, who comply with the orders of the riffraffs because they know anarchy rules the state.
And at no point have I absolved the government from the role of their incompetence in the issues of Anambra state, so I'm not sure what you're rambling about. The solution to the failures of the government (who at least are accountable to the people who elected them if they can leverage their power as the electorate) is not to fund and arm rudderless, jobless, faceless riffraff who are accountable to no one. Any idiot in any village should have been able to predict the chaos that would emerge from that, but I gave our people too much credit, assuming them to be rational beings.

People that sit at home every Monday because they're terrified of the riffraff they have sheltered, funded, armed and cheered as they sowed chaos in the SE should not be lecturing Igbos outside the SE about their choosing to invest the fruits of their hard labour in saner climes where there is no parallel government of riffraff dictating which day of the week they can go out and earn a living. We demarketed our homeland by ourselves and chose to make it synonymous with anarchy and criminality, and we need to reap the rewards of that without complaint.
You are so annoying.......! I do not know which is worse your incoherent prattle or your incongruent logic! What you are saying in essence is that we abandon our homes because a few disgruntled and opportunistic elements are in the bush..........so we should all leave Anambra and go and stay put in Lagos like yourself! What you do not understand is that bad governance has its consequences, we are reaping what we have been judiciously sowing since 1999.................. narrowing kidnapping to ESN activities is nonsensical and simplistic! maybe you are just naive and simple-minded!

Ndigbo will continue to reap insults and humiliation from the Nigerian state ......until we buy ''sense"! Just look at the comedy show that was the Ohaneze elections...............you people are not yet serious about protecting Igbo interests! If elders cannot act responsibly, then don't be surprised that the youth are taking affairs of state into their inexperienced hands with all the risks that are involved!

If you have no comprehension skills, maybe that's your interpretation of what I'm saying. You're free to stay wherever you want. People who live outside the state do not need your admonishment and lectures about why they choose to develop properties and invest in other climes where the citizens aren't ruled by jobless riffraff imposing "sit-at-home". When you shelter, promote and fund criminal riffraff to terrorize their own people in the name of secession agitation, then you've already demarketed your homeland and need to live with the consequences. Pointing to the incompetence of the government, or Ohaneze has nothing to do with the dummies who were cheering gunmen when they were attacking security agencies and compelling people to sit at home. The chickens have come home to roost.

It's the "broken windows theory" of criminology where ignoring disorder and antisocial behavior within a community subsequently leads to occurrences of serious crimes. Except the broken windows theory refers to policing minor acts like loitering, littering, small traffic infractions to promote law and order and disincentivize youth from treading the criminal path etc while in the case of the South East's idiocy, we basically founded, funded and armed a parallel government of unaccountable, faceless riffraff who embraced the mission to delegitimize elected government and institutions, delegitimize (and attack) the police and security apparatus, and terrorize citizens with brain-dead mandates like sit-at-homes. Any idiot in any village could predict how this state of affairs would eventually unravel. Criminals would look around and see weakened institutions and an opportunity to exploit the state of anarchy. I also have absolutely ZERO doubt that IPOB/ESN have not only created a fertile environment for criminality and banditry to thrive, but that many of their own members are directly involved in the criminality and banditry. These were never the best people of Igbo society. They were jobless riffraff recruited by charlatans and armed. There is zero doubt in my mind that many of those riffraff recruited and armed by IPOB would have taken to banditry when their IPOB livelihood wasn't as profitable. Kidnapping is very lucrative and if you've been armed and sheltered by a society of myopic clowns, why not use your arms for something more lucrative. It's no coincidence that Anambra and Imo, the 2 states most ravaged by banditry in the SE also happen to be the states where IPOB/ESN are most active, while Enugu and Ebonyi, where IPOB/ESN are less prominent are the safest states in the SE presently. It is not a coincidence.

Nobody has demarketed ala Igbo more than Ndigbo b'anyi. Hausa-Fulani or Yorubas could not do a better job of demarketing the SE than we've done for ourselves since we embraced a mentally ill charlatan, Nnamdi Kanu, as our Lord and saviour. They could not do a better job than we have done.

Despite growing up all my life in Lagos, I hate urban life with the noise and chaos and disorder and pollution and crowds. I loved traveling to my village in Anambra every year as a child. There was just a very cool ambience about it. And I dreamed of one day retiring there.
Unfortunately, there's greater safety in the urban areas where you get lost in the crowd and there's much greater security. A number of wealthy men over the years have been kidnapped for ransom in my village when they traveled there for a burial or some event, and outside Christmas, it's just not a safe place to be.

Yet more tangential and diversionary bullshit from a self-hating ‘one Nigerianist’ apostle (that’s assuming you ARE Igbo)! Dude, you are yet to show any proof or give any well-reasoned argument to support your laughable narrative that all these senseless mass murders are carried out by Igbo against their own! Why TF would they do that!? Do we have a history of such senseless and cold-blooded attacks!? You talk as if there’s no kidnapping in other regions of the country as well! Or are IPOB and ESN responsible for those as well!? As we speak, the south-west is complaining of a mass influx of battle-hardened sahelian criminals into their region and are calling for a response to nip the growing problem in the bud! DO YOU EXPECT A SIMILAR INFLUX OF THESE ANIMALS HASN’T ALREADY HAPPENED AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN IN THE SOUTH-EAST!? OR YOU RECKON THE SOUTH-EAST IS EXEMPT FROM SIMILAR INFLUX, AND THAT WHEN THESE BASTARDS ARRIVE THE SOUTH-EAST THAT ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY WILL MORPH INTO GOOD, LAW-ABIDING AND EXEMPLARY INDIVIDUALS!? Why do you attempt to isolate the criminality going on in the south-east and tag it IPOB and ESN related, whereas similar criminality occurs in EVERY other region!? You may want to talk of the kind of senseless mass killings of innocents in cold-blood that’s been going on recently in the south-east (specifically Anambra and Imo) that’s not happening in any other southern region, and this then begs the question, which you’re yet to answer: WHY TF WOULD ANY IGBO (IPOB/ESN AS YOU STUPIDLY ASSERT) GO OUT INTO THE STREET AND SPRAY BULLETS ON HIS OWN BLUD…MURDERING IN COLD BLOOD PEOPLE HE DOESN’T KNOW FROM ADAM AND WHO DID HIM NO WRONG!? Like i stated in my last reply to your idiocy and lies, no true Igbo will be convinced that his own kinsfolk are capable of such senseless evil AGAINST THEIR OWN! We did not have….and can NEVER have a history of having a proclivity for such wickedness! Yes, there are criminals of Igbo extraction, just like there are criminals in every other region/ethnicity…armed robbers, kidnappers, even the odd vile ritualist! But disgusting as these crimes are, one can see criminal acquisition of money as the driving force! Pray tell, what’s the driving force for any Igbo going out into the streets to commit cold-blooded mass murder against their own kith and kin!?

Yet again you have chosen to ignore my previous argument that IPOB, and MASSOB before them, existed for years before the unfortunate arrival of Buhari in 2015, yet during all this time no incidents of kidnapping and mass murder was linked to them in any way! It was AFTER Buharis’ murderous army goons targeted and killed tens of innocent youths out agitating and gathering peacefully in the south-east, and AFTER python-dance was initiated in the region, and equally Mazi Kanu began publicising and throwing light on these state-sanctioned acts of criminality and human rights abuses….THAT was when the red-flag operations and attempts to demonise IPOB and Mazi Kanu began! We all can remember pictures of how your ‘saintly’ Fulani army dehumanised Igbo youths by making them swim in muddy water, then taking pictures of it which your fellow Igbo-haters used for wan’king sessions and mocking Ndigbo on this forum! IT’S TELLING THAT WE NEVER HEARD YOUR VOICE SPEAKING AGAINST THESE CRIMES AND HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES….WE NEVER HEARD YOUR VOICE SPEAK UP AGAINST THE NIMBO AND UZOR-UWANI MASS MURDERS THAT WERE TO FOLLOW…..WE NEVER HEARD YOUR VOICE SPEAK UP AGAINST THE KIDNAP AND DEHUMANISATION OF THE PRELATE OF THE METHODIST CHURCH OF NIGERIA AFTER HE NARRATED HIS ORDEAL AT THE HANDS OF FULANI KIDNAPPERS (WHOSE LEADER SPOKE FLUENT IGBO) OPERATING IN THE SOUTH-EAST! You never opened your mouth to speak up on the side of Ndigbo against these injustices and more….only for you to reemerge from whatever hole you’ve been hiding in to help propagate the false narrative that ‘Igbo are killing Igbo because they want Biafra’!?

On the issue of ESN and the accusation of them being responsible for arms proliferation in the south-east. This is as laughable as it is diversionary! Dude, I HAVE NO REGRETS FOR SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF ESN TO CONFRONT THE MURDEROUS SAHELIAN TOERAGS IN THE REGION, AND I’LL SUPPORT THEIR FORMATION AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT! Let me reiterate….ESN was formed after the Nimbo and Uzor-Uwani attacks which your useless Nigerian gov’t was complicit in allowing to happen, and for which they and the equally useless south-east gov’ts of the time were either unwilling or unable to stop! A THINKING AND SENSIBLE GOV’T, ONE THAT’S NOT JUST INTERESTED IN SETTLING SCORES WITH AN ENTIRE ETHNIC GROUP, BUT IS ALSO GENUINELY INTERESTED IN ENSURING PEACE, WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT A DISORGANISED, GUNG-HO APPROACH TO THE ESN ISSUE WAS BOUND TO RESORT IN ARMS BEING UNACCOUNTED FOR! IF NOT FOR THEIR PRIDE AND A LACK OF TACT AND FORESIGHT, THE BUHARI GOV’T COULD HAVE ENGAGED WITH IPOB LEADERSHIP…..ASSURED THEM OF THE GOV’TS WILLINGNESS AND CAPACITY TO CONFRONT THE CRIMINAL INCURSIONS INTO THE SOUTH-EAST REGION AND APOLOGISE FOR ALLOWING THE NIMBO AND UZOR-UWANI MASSACRES HAPPEN ON THEIR WATCH! SOMETHING SIMILAR TO HOW THE YAR’ADUA GOV’T APPROACHED THE NIGER-DELTA AGITATION, AND MOPPED UP A LARGE CACHE OF ARMS AND AMMUNITION THAT HAD PROLIFERATED THE REGION, SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLICATED IN THE CASE OF ESN! THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOTH SCENARIOS WAS LEADERSHIP….THE INTENT OF THE LEADERSHIP AND HOW THEY VIEWED THE OPPOSING PARTY THEY WERE DEALING WITH! Yar’Adua had genuine and good intentions, and he saw the Niger-Delta militants as equals who should be engaged at a round table with no side thinking they’re superior to the other! Buhari on the other hand is a despot and a jihadist by nature, and saw IPOB and ESN as a ‘irritant’ that shouldn’t be engaged in dialogue but crushed by all means necessary! ANY INCIDENCE OF WEAPONS FROM THE DISRUPTED ESN FALLING INTO THE HANDS OF CRIMINALS (whether Igbo or whoever else)….THE BLAME FOR THIS LAYS SQUARELY AND 100% AT THE DOORSTEP OF BUHARI FOR HIS ARROGANCE AND INABILITY TO HANDLE DELICATE ISSUES WITH WISDOM AND PATIENCE! The useless south-east governors of the time made a play of forming ‘ebubeagu’ as a response to ESN! Dude, where is your useless ‘ebubeagu’ today!? As we speak, the evil sahelian toerags have not stopped their criminal incursions into the south-east! If anything, they’ve become bolder and more brazen, knowing that their army allies will help cover their tracks and confront any challenge IPOB or south-east governors attempt to put up to curtail their evil activities!

As usual the too ''goody two shoes '' mentality of Igbo people like you is even worse than the IPOB demarketing you are complaining about...it just makes me sick! I live partly in the suburbs of Indianapolis in the US.........bros 200 plus people have been murdered in the Indy metro every year for the past 5 years .......................yet most people in the US do not know that the city is that violent...........let us not talk of LA and Chicago! there are fora for unmasking our dirty linen not on nairaland....your virtue signaling has not and will not make a dent in the crime rate in anambra................if you will stop behaving like a petulant teenage girl in the heat of her cycle perhaps we can profer solutions, I wonder what you gain by this kind of unrestrained conduct! this lack of tactical discipline is even the bane of everything we Igbos are involved in!

Well said ! 👏💪

EXCLUSIVE: Nigerian Businessman Recounts Days Of Horror In Anambra Kidnappers' Den, Narrates How Abductors Murdered Victims, Trafficked Human Organs

January 9, 2025

A businessman who was kidnapped alongside Catholic Reverend Father Nonso in Anambra State has shared a harrowing account of their ordeal.

The two were held captive for a week without food or water, and the businessman claims that the government and security agencies did nothing to help them.

In a leaked telephone conversation, the businessman alleged that the State Director of the Department of State Services told him that they were ready to work but lacked the funds to do so. He also criticised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for not taking action to address the state's security challenges.

The businessman's account is particularly disturbing, as he describes witnessing people being killed and their organs harvested and sold to traffickers.

He also claims that the Enugu State government helped track their location, but the police refused to rescue them.

This incident highlights the severe security issues plaguing Anambra State. According to reports, the state has experienced a surge in kidnapping and armed attacks, with many attributing the violence to poor governance and lack of effective security measures.

The businessman's experience also raises concerns about corruption and the perceived lack of accountability within the security forces.

SaharaReporters reported on January 1, 2025 that the Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as “Father Ebube Muonso” narrated how he paid N1 million to mobilise the police to rescue a priest and colleague, Rev. Fr. Nonso, who was kidnapped and spent a week at his captors’ den in a forest.

Giving his eyewitness account, the businessman who spoke in Igbo said: "...when they shot these people, I realised that this is no longer a child's play. You see people bleeding from gunshot, and you also see those whose organs are being harvested. You will hear them saying cut this side and cut the order side. You see them cutting people's parts while they're alive."

He said he paid a ransom of N10.3 million and the Rev. Father paid over N20 million to regain his freedom. According to him, the kidnappers had wanted to release the Reverend Father but because they had a quarrel with Fr (Emmanuel) Obimma Ebube Muonso (parish priest in Dunukofia and the founder and head of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry) on the phone, they decided to keep his friend priest to test his resolve.

He continued: "I put N10.3 million and I paid through my account but it is not about payment of ransom because there are people who paid money yet they were killed. Father paid over N20 million. They killed several people and there's a well there where some people who were killed were thrown. They poured some chemicals inside the well.

"We were in their den with the Harmattan cold on December 17, 18 and 19, 2024. They had an altercation with Father Obimma Ebube Muonso and one would think that the kidnappers would be afraid of being tracked but they were not afraid because they knew that Anambra State doesn't have adequate security.

“While they were talking with Father Ebube Muonso, the leader of the gang came and told the Rev Fr Nonso that he wanted to release him but he wanted to proof to Fr Ebube Muonso that they were not on the same level. He said they often see him but ignore him was because he is a Rev. Father but that will show him (Ebube Muonso). He even called their gang members in their various camps that if something happened, they should bring Ebube Muonso alive."

He continued, "If you see these small children carrying guns; if you think that they are Yahoo boys (internet fraudsters), they are no longer into that. They are now into kidnapping. If you see these people, they're carrying iPhone 13 like Yahoo boys. I was there and they were calling their girlfriends. We were there on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd of December - inside the bush with them. We didn't go to the toilet, we didn't eat and we didn't bathe. We didn't even brush our teeth. I didn't know that it is possible for someone to stay for three days without going to the toilet. It was on the night of December 24 that I was brought out like they usually did while we were there. They would bring people out and say move. The next thing they would do was shoot the person."

He stated that considering what he saw there, he was no longer thinking about his business.

"I no longer think of my business. I no longer think of my parents. This boy that has Dubai estate, you know he has been missing for over a month and there was no communication. So I was thinking: is this how people are being killed? If you see how body parts were being sold. There was a boy that wanted to escape, he told us one day when we were brought together that he had spent 21 days in the kidnapper's den and that the person brought with him had been killed."

The businessman stated that he slept beside the Rev father at night, adding they prayed for God's intervention but at every turn, it would appear that God wasn't going to answer their prayers.

Free At Last

But eventually, he and the cleric were allowed to go home.

He said, "We prayed intermittently and you don't talk there. So they asked the priest to hold me and we were moving in the bush. They told us that they would put us in the trunk of Toyota Venza, and that wherever they stopped and opened the trunk of the vehicle, I should come out and drive the Venza home, along with the Rev father. I don't know the owner of the Venza and I was asking myself whether I had come there to be gifted a Toyota Venza. I was also afraid because I had heard that there was someone who was burnt inside a car.

"So, they were going round the bush and when they got to a particular place, they stopped and opened the boot and asked me to take the key and drive the Venza home. They said there was enough fuel in it. Thereafter, they closed the boot, fired some shots and left. We drove for hours, looking for a way out of the bush. Before we got to Father's parish, it was round 1 am on December 25 (Christmas Day).

"When we finally found a road, I told Father that we should go to my house in Awka but he said we should go to Umudioka, his parish. That was how we went there and fortunately Father Ebube Muonso and his team were in adoration. They had just finished praying for us.

“People fled when they saw how fast we drove. They took us to the altar there. From there, they took us upstairs where we took our bath."

The businessman revealed how the family of the kidnapped member of the State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North called him to know whether he knew of his whereabouts.

"You know, that there was a House member that was kidnapped in Onitsha North; his people called me, asking whether I had any clue, I said I had no clue. They said the governor told them that there was nothing he could do. The wife of the man was crying on phone, begging to know if there anything I could tell them. The kidnappers had already asked for a ransom of N20 million and maybe they don't know that he's a lawmaker.

"Probably they didn't know about the person and when they discovered, they stopped calling the relations. Anambra is a joke now. Do you know that a lawmaker called me and said that we are in trouble. He said there was no single tracker in Anambra State and that the governor was waiting for people coming from Abuja to track the location of the Rev father.

"So Father Ebube Muonso called the governor of Enugu State. I don't know that the governor Enugu State is working but he doesn't talk, so he stayed in Enugu and tracked where we were kept and it was Urum because while we were there, a plane would intermittently fly over us. I thought this was going on around Ihiala; I didn't know it had reached Awka, the state capital.

"It wasn't like we were kept in secret room but we were in the bush and they were running it like a well-structured organisation. They cooked. I was afraid that we could be poisoned. From Urum, you get to Achalla, and from there, you get to Igbariam. So the governor of Enugu told the police in Anambra that they should go in and rescue us. And the police in Anambra said they would not enter the bush.

"It was by the divine grace of God that we made it alive considering the way people were killed there. I discovered that what attracts them is ‘big’ vehicles. The way it is in Anambra now is for one to look for a small car to drive. They come out for operation between 7pm and 8:30pm and they have various camps.

"So it is risky to drive from 7 pm to 8:30 pm or 9 pm. The roads are always busy then and that is when they kidnap people. The best time to get home is 6 pm or 6:30 pm; you enter your house. If there's something that made you to stay late in the night, you should wait till 11 pm to midnight before going home. At that time, they will not be in the road again."

On how Rev Fr Nonso was kidnapped, the businessman said he was kidnapped while trying to buy fuel.

He said, "The priest who returned from America and hails from Ojoto, went out to buy fuel and after that he stopped at a block industry - he was the former head of St. Kizito, a Catholic school, so he was telling somebody that he would cook to entertain the children in the school. Suddenly, a vehicle arrived there and the occupants started shooting.

"He was confused as it appeared to him like a movie, maybe he didn't understand that the security situation in Anambra had deteriorated, so the people with him ran away. They carried him with his car. My anger is that despite all the things happening in Anambra State, the police are not doing anything.

"State Director of Security Services otherwise known as Department of State Services (DSS) told me that they are willing to work but there's no money. He told me that during the December period, there were squads sent across the states in the country. He regretted that those sent to stay in Anambra spent two days and the governor told them that he didn’t have money for fuel and they went back."

The businessman revealed that when they went to Enugu State to thank the governor for his assistance, they were taken to a house where everything happening in Enugu State is being monitored. He wondered what the governor of Anambra state is doing with the allocations of Anambra state.

He said, "The whole tracking was done in the house and they even showed us where we were kept in the bush from the Enugu State Government House. At a point, they contemplated to deploy airstrike but Father Ebube Muonso was skeptical that they could kill innocent people in the process.

“We thanked the Enugu State Governor but Governor Soludo is toying with the people of Anambra State. It was by the divine grace of God that I went and came out alive. They collected my phone.”

When SaharaReporters contacted the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga for his reaction, he simply said, "Thank you for the information."

Whichever company or group that set up the surveillance and command control center in Enugu is knowledgeable about security matters! I am no expert but A simple crime mapping will show where such kidnappings are prevalent, I know for a certainty that the so-called ESN camp is around that Ihiala axis.........I also know that Asari Dokuboh's guys are also camped around that area in Imo State! My question is why is Soludo finding it hard to isolate that area properly.........most of the recent kidnappings have been carried out within transitional spaces between Onitsha and Awka ........something is happening in Anambra that is not clear for now! are we the only state where agitation is going on?

soludo should swallow his pride and ask his brother Mba how he is doing it!

Soludo is and as always being a proud man who thinks he knows it all. Even when he talks you can see the arrogance and I know it all mentality. That man narration is everywhere. Literally it demarkets Soludo as an incompetent person. Do you know what it means to say a governor said there is no money to buy fuel for security patrols aimed at fighting insecurity. For dss and police to say they are ready to work but Soludo is not forthcoming. Even if it is made up, the narrative coupled with the fact Soludo is doing nothing not even addressing the people shows incompetence

Soludo only appoints people he can lecture to and control.

The weakness of kidnap gangs is transport and telecommunications. It's not like Anambra has roads all over the place. There are few artery roads. Yet police cannot monitor vehicular movements. Then every phone is trackable right down to 5 sqm.

With the right technology it should not be difficult to clamp down on armed gangs, kidnap for ransom and gun runners. Anambra is 4,000 sqkm only. But that this is happening is a failure of policing.

I would not trust DSS or NPF. Taking down kidnap for ransom gangs there are lots of contract military mercenaries all over the world. They have the surveillance technology, the tracking and no sentimental attachment. There are Israelis, South African, Russian outfits that can eliminate these nuisances.

These are the bad administrative habits that I rail about all the time, Soludo is not building enduring institutions in Anambra state, this is the biggest failure of his administration, where is our own Lawmma agency for sanitation, which new initiative has he started in taxation and its collection? meanwhile, the Enugu governor even has European expatriates embedded in his team! Truth be said, I am beginning to believe the rumor that he has a Godfather slowing him down with all kinds of pecuniary demands ....let us not talk of the prevalent subserviency of Igbo governors to northern interests, especially perceived FULANI interests !!! Now we have woken up to the news that suspected Fulani herdsmen have abducted 30 passengers including soldiers in Enugu just last night!

At least the Enugu governor has his surveillance and command control to work with! donating vehicles to police will not cut it! Soludo has to take a trip to Enugu to observe what has been achieved there in terms of security! It is not all bad news, however,,, Soludo has a good opportunity to build a better and even more advanced command center in the new state house in Awka.......... Patrick MBA in his native wisdom located his command and control within the government house in Enugu...............DSS, police and army in our state are filled with Fulani and outside interests, you never know when they will throttle investigations on these cases of kidnapping involving their people!

in these days of AI-controlled drones and tracking technology, kidnapping is one of the easier crimes to detect if not prevent ! On the national level there should be a legislation that all these Chinese phones must come with air tag technology or they will not be sold, the telecommunication firms must be made to supply detail of kidnapper lines! I am vexed this morning !!!

Anyone that thinks people who are doing these kidnappings aren't Ndigbo b'anyi and making up dumb conspiracies theories is a clown. If you think there is ANY crime in this world that is beyond a heartless Igbo man, you're a deeply naive, profoundly delusional brain-dead mooron. It wasn't that long ago Igbo gangsters entered a church in Ozubulu and massacred many worshippers to get to the parents of "Bishop", the drug pushing gangster from South Africa. Imagine thinking there is ANY evil in this world that Igbo criminals can't commit. A number of kidnapped people released after paying ransom have clearly alluded to the fact the kidnappers are Igbo natives. You can read the account of a man who shared his ordeal 3 days ago:
https://saharareporters.com/2025/01/09/exclusive-nigerian-businessman-recounts-days-horror-anambra-kidnappers-den-narrates-how
He spoke about how Ebube Muonso spoke to the kidnappers who are very familiar with the priest and threatened to come for him soon, and the kidnapped man described the kidnappers as basically criminal yahoo boys. At no point did he try to claim that they were outsiders. I know a very wealthy family friend kidnapped in my village in Oraukwu and he said the kidnappers were natives who knew his movement when he came back from Lagos. There are even notorious Igbo kidnappers operating in Lagos that were killed in a gun battle with police at Ladipo recently (where they've kidnapped several wealthy businessmen, talkless of the ones operating in the comfort of the bush in their own homeland. Imagine being the kind of delusional cultist who think Ndigbo b'anyi are not as capable of mindless evil as anyone else. What a clown. grin

This is irrelevant. Hitler's Nazi party existed peacefully for many years, before they found their way to power and ended up launching a destructive World War, and massacring 6 million Jews. IPOB once being an irrelevant group of Nnamdi Kanu cultists, before the mooronic population of the SE empowered, amplified, sheltered, funded and armed them is irrelevant to the fact that many of those jobless riffraff have likely gone rogue and turned their weapons against the population of the SE to terrorize them and profit from the state of chaos and anarchy. That is why any right-thinking person should have been skeptical about the wisdom of arming faceless, jobless riffraff who are accountable to no one. We have created and unleashed a monster, and don't know how to get the monster back in its cage. That stupidity will haunt us for a long time.
You seem to love strawman arguments. I have never supported the Nigerian army killing dumb IPOB agitators if they're not armed and violent. None of the crimes of the army justifies IPOB and IPOB affiliate thugs terrorizing our own people and their authoritarian, fascistic conduct with mandates like sit-at-home orders. There is no reality in which Anambra can be safe if its citizens are afraid of going about their livelihoods on Mondays because they're afraid a band of jobless riffraffs and fascist thugs might vandalize or loot their goods and property, or maim them, or even murder them. That chaotic state of affairs is fertile ground for criminality and banditry to thrive - whether it is IPOB/ESN thugs actually doing the banditry or not. Anybody who doesn't understand the link between anarchy and criminality is a mooron.

Forming a militia group to protect our territories has never been the issue. Forming a militia group that is UNACCOUNTABLE to any legitimate, transparent authority is the idiocy being addressed. The SW has vigilante groups to serve as forest wardens and they're well funded and work in close cooperation with their governments. This makes these groups accountable and makes it more likely that they'll be effective. Leaving aside the fact the it is impossible for ESN to accomplish its mission while being a proscribed group at war with the Nigerian security apparatus (with the Nigerian army regularly releasing statements claiming it has killed however many ESN operatives), any group that is not constituted by legitimate authority is a group that is not accountable to anyone and is a group that would eventually abuse its power - committing rights abuses with impunity, extorting people etc. And that is the best case scenario, with the worse case being such a group with no accountability and transparency would have rogue elements deploying the arms and resources by engaging in banditry and criminality. Even the Nigerian police and army have personnel who engage in banditry and these are institutions structured to be accountable to the people. Anyone that thinks there aren't many rogue ESN members (an organization that is not accountable to the people) engaged in banditry is a mooron. Again, there is no coincidence that IPOB/ESN are most prominent in 2 of the most crime-ridden states in the SE, Anambra and Imo, while Ebonyi and Enugu who are less cursed with the presence of those thugs and useless, jobless riffraff are far more serene and safe.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by 0bjpmb: 5:37pm On Jan 12, 2025
You people should stop this back and forth arguments here. There’s no state that’s safe in Nigeria. Things are happening almost everywhere. Enugu state is not safe, so for ediots that are referencing Enugu should know that Enugu is not safe despite the propaganda going on there. Imo state is not safe, Abia is not safe. This is a SE problem, some you ediots should stop narrowing it down to Anambra, because there’s no single state in SE or Nigeria that’s safe. Anyone in Anambra now can attest that activities are everywhere in the state. Media is the only tool that’s escalating both fake and genuine news. Mbah is not doing anything differently, because places like Nimbo, Nsukka, etc are still under siege by insecurity but mostly unreported.

Kidnapping is a very specific type of vile crime. It's basically a terrorist crime - with the broader effect of terrorizing the population, changing their way of life. It needs to be called out vocally and repeatedly.
The US has far higher murder rates than other Western countries due to the very high gun ownership rate - with over 400 million guns in the population. If Nigerians had that kind of gun-ownership rate, we'd have genocided ourselves to extinction. Secondly, I trust US crime gathering data while I have no trust for Nigerian crime data (or most public data) due to the mainstreamed incompetence in Nigerian public service. Thirdly, public safety is very high on the agenda in every US election season and elected officials failing the public on safety (sheriffs, district attorneys, attorney generals, mayors, governors, state legislators etc) are widely criticized for it, rather than people worrying about "unmasking our dirty linen". You seem to be more bothered by whether the state of anarchy and criminality in Anambra makes us look bad to outsiders, rather than focusing on whether we have failed badly in securing the lives, livelihood and property of Anambrarians. I spent time in my family home this Christmas and every single time visitors came to our home, the topic always switched to the security situation in Anambra. There is no point lying to ourselves here. Anambrarians feel very unsafe, and that is a critical state of affairs that merits constant and loud condemnation.

We can proffer solutions to what end? Is anybody here in charge of public policy in Anambra?
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Obi1kenobi(m): 6:24pm On Jan 12, 2025
One of the things I find ridiculous here is talking about the manifest failures of Anambra in security and some people start gaslighting you by:
1) talking about how there are other states with security challenges
2) talking about how we're making ourselves look bad

This is gaslighting and it's also very juvenile. And irresponsible. And makes no sense.
Nigeria is one of the worst shiitholes on the planet in the APC era (we're competing with countries like Somalia and South Sudan for the very bottom of humanity), so using the situation in states in the North to console yourself about our situation is obviously absurd. We should aspire to be the best, or be among the best of the states in this absolute shiithole of a country (which would still leave us among teh bottom of humanity) rather than comforting ourself with the notion that our security challenges is not as bad as Borno or Yobe or Kaduna. The fact that Anambra is the kidnap and crime capital of the SE alone is utterly disgraceful and merits vocal condemnation.

IPOB-ESN has destroyed Igboland. You think calling someone Efulefu or supporting IPOB-ESN terrorists make you an IGbo person? You may be one of the IPOB-ESN members, and you must refrain from provoking people. Any body who justify IPOB in whatever guise or reason is a criminal. Igboland don't need IPOB illiterates.

it's definitely senseless how our people believe that security failure in the North makes the insecurity in South east acceptable. In one hand, IPOB supporter Catholic priest, Obimma, claimed that one Igbo man is equivalent to 500 hausa lives and some people were in agreement, but when it come to counting human life lost to insecurity, they count one hausa to one igbo. Even at that, nothing justify an IGbo man killing another Igbo man. Fulani terrorists do not kidnap or attack fulanis. Hausa bandits do not attack hausas, I jaw militants didn't kidnap I jaws.
Only Igbos kill Igbos or kidnap other Igbos. The same thing happened during slave trade. It is horrendous and completely unconscionable.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by 0bjpmb: 8:10pm On Jan 12, 2025
You are talking nonsense. No one mentioned northern states here. Imo state is the UGM, terrorists, kidnappers and armed robbery headquarters of southern Nigeria, but media is not talking about it.

Places like Orlu, Orsu, Oguta, etc, are no go areas due to high insecurity ravaging the state. Forget the media bias misinformation, no place is actually safe in Nigeria. Insecurity in Nigeria is a national issue, but usually Anambra is the center of attraction whenever it is mentioned. Otherwise places like imo state has thrice the insecurity we have seen in Anambra.

I quite agree with you. Until we see the insecurity in the SE as a collective challenge, the region won’t make much progress. Almost every state in the region has similar security challenge, but pinning it in a particular place is a total flaw. Size of SE is averaging the size of Oyo state. Tell me why we should see the challenge in the region as a regional issue.

This is very true. When ESN was formed in Aba/Owerri by Ipob, we warned against it. But because SE is a small place, they easily reached out to the entire region. Every community, every state of the region must be part of pushing back on this nonsense that was brought about by Ipob to the region.

Save your spittle for the Fulani herdsmen kidnapping our people in Ufuma and Igbariam axis, I am yet to see you condemn that variance of criminal activity that spurred the creation of ESN in the first place, What about the Awkuzu SARS officers who were caught kidnapping people early last year! If you only care about kidnapping when it is done by Fulani herdsmen, then you're a pretty unserious person.
You're yet to see me condemn what? How long have you monitored my posts to know what I condemned and what I didn't.

As far as I can see, the greatest "existential struggle" Ndigbo has it with ourselves. I find riffraff and authoritarian, fascist thugs restricting people's movement and terrorizing their communities and promoting anarchy worse than the Nigerian government.
Who is refining and restructuring an organization of faceless, jobless riffraffs that answer to no one but their thug leaders? What will be your contribution to this restructuring? How can you restructure an organization hiding in the bushes from the Nigerian army while its criminal rogue members engage in banditry? For your mind, ESN are roaming the bushes chasing Fulani herdsmen, abi? You guys are just profoundly delusional.

When Nnamdi Kanu was leading his cult members off a cliff, this was the usual rhetoric of his cult followers. I used to be far more civil on this forum and trying to engage them civilly, but these deranged, cult, fascist fanatics took their toll on me at the time with their intolerant conduct. Anyone that disagreed with the tactics or dangerous rhetoric of their lord and savior was abused, or they start claiming that you're a Yoruba impersonator. I warned them severally that the monster they were creating would be hard to tame and they wouldn't listen - completely convinced by the justness and rightness of their cause. They were openly promoting anarchy in the SE and many of the buffoons could not understand that those they were hurting the most was not Buhari, or Tinubu or the federal government, or the Nigerian military, but Ndigbo b'anyi in the SE stood to lose the most from the anarchy they were promoting. A number of times here, news of policemen murdered by criminal bandits who were likely affiliated with IPOB were posted, and they were cheering the murder of policemen. When I knew the mass psychosis many IPOB cult followers were operating under was when their lord and savior claimed the person we were calling Buhari was actually an impersonator called Jibrin from Sudan and many of the absolute reetards were on Nairaland, Facebook and other social media parroting this idiocy with total seriousness. It's difficult to articulate the kin shame wey catch me.
