Hell No! They Are Still Using Scrolls In Heaven? What The Hell by Uptownerd(op): 6:55am On Jan 12, 2025
Revelation 5:1-5 (NIV)
"Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?' But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.'”

Ezekiel 2:9-10 (NIV)
"Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me; in it was a scroll, which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe."

Revelation 10:8-10 (NIV)
"Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me once more: 'Go, take the scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.' So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, 'Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.' I took the little scroll from the angel's hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour."

Daniel 12:4 (NIV)
"But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase kn huhowledge."

Psalm 40:7 (NIV)
"Then I said, 'Here I am, I have come—it is written about me in the scroll.'"

These verses present scrolls as divine messages, containing prophecies, judgments, and knowledge to be revealed at appointed times.

It is a cultural something.
I mean, people are still eating food instead of just taking one tablet that would provide everything your body needs.

They don't need a scroll

Would the inspired writers understand if God asked them to write tablets or computers?
Sometimes it's wise to reason deeply before typing in a public forum, we know that it's the information contained that matters not what WAS used to preserve it so whether stone tablets like the time of Moses, scrolls like the time of Jesus, paper with pages like the time of King James or electronic gadgets like our time it's the information that's of great value!

No, it is not a cultural thing but an almost 2000-year-old thing. undecided

Well, it is OK since all of the events you have there are of events that happened 2000 years ago. 2000 years ago, the use of scrolls were still common place in the nation of Judea where those events recorded took place. undecided

That would mean the scrolls of the old testament text are fake or maybe heaven only started to exist 2000 Year ago. grin

How does the statement render old testament scrolls as fakes! undecided

And wasn't it about 2000 years ago when the Jesus Christ of Israel came to announce the existence of these scrolls of heaven to begin with? undecided

Jesus Christ of Israel made that statement 2000 years ago. He also said he has been in existence before Abraham at least. If you judge by his words, why state categorically 2000years ago as the origin of the scrolls.

How does the fact that He existed before Abraham change the fact that He only introduced His Gospel and hence His promise of Heaven only to the Lost Sheep of Israel beginning from when He was raised to Heaven after His death? undecided

Are you equally insinuating that since YHWH of Israel existed long before the people of Israel came to be, the Covenant He made with them through Moses also applied to all those who existed even before the event in question? 🙄🙄

2. The very words of Jesus Christ of Israel were ratified when He died on the Cross that the Kingdom of God would go into effect upon His ascension and that, according to His followers, took place approximately 2000 years ago. undecided
