What about a Rav 4 2004?
I've not used it before, but if it's your private car, you can try it out.

I’m considering it, I get about 290miles in full tank with occasional AC usage, I don’t know if that’s Economical enough for the business

Assuming your full litre is 60l

Thats 1litres=7.7km
1km cost= N143
I cant say much to you o. Let the calculations speak. If you run on ac full time, these figures will change. For me it may not worth it except you target surge.

I have a question. I've been having difficulty getting rides on bolt. it seems everyone is now choosing the economy option for their bolt rides. How can I switch to economy from bolt? The only category option I'm seeing is bolt only.

Baba there's no harm in trying. I've seen someone doing it with a Highlander. Just do a one or two weeks trial. You can always quit if it doesn't favor you.

Most Camry's and even Corolla are same 1ltr=8km.

Stop night work
How can you carry 4 young active boys at midnight. There are specific rules for working at night, that is, if you must work beyond 10pm. You call your rider and ask how many they are. Make sure he sits in the front, unless na female. If possible, do only females during that period.

Incase you suspect you are already in trouble carrying suspects at night , use your head.

Off your car and feign a car fault

Start a conversation claiming you are making. Call and telling the other party you incidentally carried that your neighbor today as ur rider.

They are so many tips you should try to pull off.

I personally have done these severally and it worked , having in mind it could be during the day on isolated areas.
Let's stay safe and wise

Prevention is better than cure(death)!

Just avoid night hustle.

Early last year, 1 guy was stabbed to death. He carried just 1 guy.
There are no techniques for working in the night. Anything can go wrong.

You know it's not possible for people to stop night work, even if them make it public announcements that every taxi drivers should stop night work, some people will still do it...
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Nobody: 12:25pm On Jan 12, 2025
I do night work alot, and I've restricted the numbers of riders I carry to 3 females only or 1 male only and if you're a male, you gotta sit in front seat or I decline to go on the trip.

This doesn't guarantee my safety tho, but if females wants to harm me, I can still use my manly strength against them, and if a male wants to harm me, it's just one person and he will find it difficult so far he's sitting next to me...

Like early hours of today, around 1am, I got a ride from surulere to ogudu farm city, on getting to the rider, I realized they were 5 in numbers (3 females, 2males), I just told them I can't go, they asked why, I said overload and they persuaded me to add something, I just told them it's actually for my security, I canceled the ride immediately and indrive charged their commission but it didn't bother me, I can't risk going for small change that can't even buy me brake pad.

Good afternoon,

I’ve been following this thread for a while, and I must say it’s been quite insightful. I’m a young female interested in starting as an Uber driver, and I’m currently doing some research to better understand the field.

I’d love to hear from experienced drivers about the following:

How much can one realistically earn in a day?
What are the key dos and don’ts of being a successful Uber driver?
Why do we see fewer female Uber drivers, and how can I navigate challenges specific to women in this field?
What tips can help maximize earnings and improve the overall experience?
Any advice, personal experiences, or resources would be greatly appreciated.

I will advice you to take your psyche out of e-hailling job, if you don't want to be condemn to servitude..

Look for better job to do, or better still learn a lucrative/profitable skill.. forget the huge figures others are posting here, they we never tell you the unpleasant and negative aspect of the job

And if the car doesn't belong to you, and it's on higher purchase.. RUN FOR YOU LIFE
