The Greek word translated WORSHIP in your Bible is OBEISANCE meaning REVERENCE.
Forgiveness that Jesus talked about does not mean he is God rather it means God has given him the authority to judge the world so Jesus can declare someone free from guilt after assessing the person.

Here's my conclusion: Do the study yourself, don't believe all I've said or anybody here has said, compile the odd evidences of Trinity in scripture yourself, consult the original Hebrew and Greek depending on the book you're studying in time. Come to a conclusion for yourself based on the God-given senses you have. God actually expects we utilise our senses in reading and studying scriptures; scripture say we should "Study...", and studying is brain work, but not just that, like the Apostle Paul says, pray for the "eyes" of your understanding to be enlightened, so that you may know.

Before God establish Israel you can claim you're worshiping the true God but after the establishment of that nation you can't be of God if you're not with the Israelites.
After the establishment of Israel the nation is considered worshipers of the true God but by the time they splited to two only Jews became worshipers of the true God.
The Jews remain as God's people until Jesus established Christianity and only Christians became worshipers of the true God.
Today thousands of different religions are claiming Christians with contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines so Jesus separated faithful people from them all and God began calling us by another group name: Jehovah's Witnesses Isaiah 65:15

So you can continue deceiving yourself claiming different religions contradicting themselves in teachings are Christians we know that true Christians are not on the same page with religionists contradicting themselves in teachings! 1Corinthians 14:33; 40
