Jurrien Timber came off in the first half of extra time with a hamstring complaint.

There was no mechanism of injury, and he has had a couple muscle complaints this season, whether that be tightness or minor strains.

Due to the lack of a major mechanism, it looks like hamstring muscle tightness rather than a true strain. [ PhysioScout ]

Medical staff will assess, but I doubt it's too much to worry about. He's just played over 100 minutes of football, as well as fixture congestion coming into play.

Still a chance he misses the North London Derby vs. Spurs. Tightness usually settles down within a week.

Before Tomiyasu leaves in the Summer, they should hand him to EFCC. Timber shouldn't be playing much at this stage but the coach has no choice.
I co-sign this!

Tomiyasu has only played 6 minutes in 19 matches this season angry. Even if his leg break sef, e no supposed play that few minutes as at this stage of the season. He's a criminal stealing for a living.

It will. I really wish Kai can borrow half of Gabi's mentality. When Kai is down, he is down. Last season, he was going through a phase till Ode and Saka handed that Pk to him. That lifted up his spirit and he went on scoring spree.

Remember MD38 against Everton, he was about to cry after scoring that winning goal.

The club is considering vlahovic loan deal this January.
Timber is ok
Calafiori is ok

Epl chase overhuh?... time will tell.
Already moved on from the game against United, make we win the next match, that's all that matters.
Sack Arteta at seasons end or not, not really my concern now.
Criticism is allowed but abeg make we dey respect each other small for here, no body be coach and even in our daily lives not everything goes according to plan.

After 5 years and £700m, the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, winger and striker to have played under Arteta weren't signed by him.

What did he really use the huge amount for?

Arteta must go.

I thought a manager’s job is to manage players at his disposal at all times. A manager’s job is not to sign players .

That’s why managers are judged based on how well they manage the players the club management provide the manager to work with .

I honestly don’t think it makes much sense to be skating a manager that his best players were not signed by him. Shebi those same players that were not signed by him were used by other managers and they dragging us down without us smelling the top 4.

Arsenal hoping to strike deal with Real Sociedad for Martin Zubimendi. grin grin

Although his arrival might be delayed till Summer.

Martin - Mikel - Martin reunion.
Let's hope their partnership last longer and be more productive than MMM.

That's why I wrote a disclaimer there
Moreover he's the highest spending manager in our history, those one didn't get the luxury he's getting.
Are you saying edu didn't seek arteta approval to buy kaikai or arteta didn't prioritize buying more defenders than getting attackers

He will surely be the highest spending manager because of time value of money and also the fact that he became our manager at a time we were free of the Emirates stadium debt we've been paying the past. Agreed the other coaches didn't get the luxury he's getting but the other coaches also didn't achieve much with us bar Arsene Wenger who remains our best coach of all time till date.

Whether Edu seeks his approval or not in signing players for the club, the koko is a manager is judged by how well he uses the players at his disposal. The fact that he could get the best out of players like Xhaka whom we had all written off, he was able to turn Odegaard into one of the best AM in England, transform our backline from the leaking roof we had during the times of Mustafi, Kolasinac, Sokratis, etc shows he's made progress with this team compared to where he met them.

If he leaves the club today, the new manager would already have his job well cut out for him. Whoever becomes the new manager will only need to make few signings and take the club on an ascendancy. Same cannot be said about rivals like Man Utd whose team has been in disarray despite spending heavily almost every transfer window for the past few years now.

Why is it that we are always buying players that will not join us immediately ? What's the essence of signing players that cannot join the team instantly and start helping the team?

I detest all these futuristic signings like mad.

Hold on first
Was he part of those making decisions on players to sign or not
I mean does he have the right to drop names of players he want or not?

I don't know how player signing at Arsenal is done specifically.

But I do know that for most clubs, the manager will drop multiple names of players he desires the club to sign. The club will then try to sign some of those players based on their availability, the willingness of their current club to sell them at a fair price, the desire of such player to join the team, scout reports, etc.

In instances where the club is unable to get the specific players due to one or two reasons mentioned above, the club management will try and get alternative players which the coach will have no choice but to work with.

Baba let’s not do this because your man has been a disaster at managing funds. Edu did not chase or buy any player that Arteta did not personally anoint. Arteta has the free rein on our transfer and that is part of why Edu is no longer with the club. Every single player we have signed is Arteta’s want, so let’s not even start a new narrative.

As recent as the nearly 90M we wasted on Merino and a luxury Calafiori was all Arteta. Let’s not even talk about Gbavertz who has been Arteta’s personal project, bought to be L8, failed there and can’t lead a line to a tangible competition. Yet he keeps forcing it down our throat because it wants to justify it. We can go on and on but let’s be honest about your man’s failures.

Calling him a failure doesn't change the fact that he has performed better than every other manager bar Wenger before his final days with us.

I already mentioned that I don't know how players are signed at Arsenal and I will claim to know what I don't have an idea of based on rumors/people's personal bias since I don't have any reliable internal source.

Yes, the club signed players that have turned out to be flops , but that is not exclusive to Arteta's tenure.

My point tackling Iamoyindamola's post is that coaches are judged on players performance during their time in charge irrespective of who signed the player. A coach is expected to bring out the best in the players he has at his disposal. When Tuchel won Champions league with Chelsea, how many players did he sign to achieve that? But till tomorrow he will always be adjudged as the coach that won Chelsea their second UCL.

That's the point. I'm not interested in debating whether Areta has failed or otherwise.

Considering the length of his tenure and the credible amount of free rein he has been granted alongside financial support, he has failed in my opinion in managing the club. Any coach who can’t take Arsenal to our current situation with the dynamics I have listed will also be considered a failure.

Which other manager are we supposed to compare him with post Wenger? Ebening? Are we comparing transfer budget? Length of stay? Control of the club? What exactly are we comparing here? Arteta is now the 2nd highest earning manager in the EPL, for achieving what exactly?

Has he brought out the best of the players he signed? The players he did not sign that have become the corner stone of our team were already great. For the sake of clarity, Arteta has had total and full control of our transfers, particularly after his 2nd year. It is the reason he can chase a druggie and match asking prices until Chelsea saved us.
