I just trying to put this out there for discussion maybe I might be able to enlighten someone today. This is regarding the kind of politics we play in Nigeria today and, the election process in general. In Nigeria, elections are held every four years and the outcome will always produce the winner and the loser. It's always like the toss of a coin which produces either a head or a tail.

During elections, we are allowed to support our own candidates no matter how unreasonable they are or, how corrupt you may think they are, people will all support the candidates who best reflect their ideologies. It is practically impossible for everyone to vote the same candidates and some people will even decide not to cast their votes at all, that is allowed in democracies as you can't force people to vote.

Now, after elections, the losers if aggrieved have the options to follow laid down procedures established in the tribunals and courts to contest outcomes of elections. It is your responsibilities to come up with all evidence to back up your claims, after all chances have been exhausted, you take the loss and move on, you can even begin preparation for the next elections making amends for shortcomings in past elections to have a better outcome.

The above is in the interest of Nigeria and, the country is bigger than any one of us.

Where am I going with my ramblings and how does the above relate to Obedient's and Aisha Yesufu?

It is not a secret that Aisha and the Obedient's supported PO in the last elections, nothing wrong with that but what I find particularly disturbing is the way other Nigerians dissenting votes are being vilified and castigated. The way these people think the president is their enemy and the yare not part of Nigeria because the other candidate won.

This is wrong if we have the interest of Nigeria at heart!

Elections and campaigns are over, BAT won even though I despise APC as a party because of the failure of PMB for eight years, notwithstanding, The election process has produce a president and it is the duty of everyone to support him and see that he succeeds. If you don't like the president, it's ok and that is allowed in a democracy, wait for the next election and find a way to campaign for your own candidates.

The time for electioneering and campaign is over and we cannot keep on acting like spoilt kids who got their candies taken away. We can criticize and it is allowed, but we don't pull him down or direct unnecessary hared towards him or even wish for a military take over simply because our candidate did not win.

You have no control over who other people decide to vote and I think it is about time civic classes be taken seriously in our educational institutions. The election process my be flawed and not perfect, I can guarantee you no election system is perfect anywhere in the world, It is a process and over time we become better with good outcomes.

In closing, I made a personal discovery that when you hate someone, you utilize certain amount of energy. I find constantly drained and fatigued if I am angry or hate someone so, stopped doing that as it is wasted energy. Now, hating someone who does not know whether you exist is a waste of time and energy.

Nigeria is bigger than any one person.

My brother, I honestly don't know how we got to this level anger and bitterness to the extent of wanting to be destroyed because our candidate did not win.

When Obi declared for presidency and joined LP about 9months to the elections, I did serious calculations and realized there was simply no pathway for him to the presidency.
That last only was the biggest chance Atiku had to be president and Obi spoilt the chances for him. If anyone is to be bitter and angry it is Atiku, it was PDP election in 2023.

Obi simply worked for BAT in the last elections as the real context was between PDP and APC. Anyone who cannot see this should have his/her brains checked.

I used to have lots of respect for Obi but I lost everything when he still insisted he won after the Supreme Court verdict. It is good to bow out when ovation is loudest and in the next elections, he will get way less votes than he did in 2023.
Most of the votes he got were protest votes against the woeful performance of Buhari.
Obi has still not learnt any lessons, he thinks LP can win presidency elections in Nigeria. It won't happen the next 20 years.
