Chai. What a NLD. The defense came through compared to the attack. If Gabu ask for 300k/week, they should give him abeg. 10points gap reduced to 4 while they got a game in hand so potentially, 5 to 7points gap. This game should have been 3goals margin. Wasteful upfront. But spurs are too wack to cause a 💔 to Arsenal right now

Arteta seem not to want to do anything about it until it causes a very key player some useless encumbrance.

What i want in a 9 is what Isak did tonight

It was an Isak Night

2goals 1 assist

He was everywhere and All where with extra lungs. Knowing when to switch off and blaze back on like Flash. One you can rely on even when other teammates are not performing. A masker of average showing when necessary. The difference when everything else seem equal. That's why i love Osimhen and Lookman.

They don't need to do much, but they do the much needed to forget how bad a night was.

The NLD means more for kids from Hale and you can see it with the degree of passion MLS showed today. He is also gaining incredible experience playing alongside Saliba and Gabu.

You of all people should know that is the way he plays, NLD or not. It would have been interesting to see him in his natural position instead of Merino (vs United).

“I’m feeling every emotion possible; I’m on cloud nine!” he expressed post-match. “I was a kid watching the derbies and know how much it means to the fans, it’s everything. To experience it today, I can’t stop smiling.

“This game means more. I prepare the same, but it’s the feeling going into the game with the fans. You’ve got to give it everything and more.

I have never seen the guy not play with aggression or passion sha. That is the only way he knows. He would probably show more as he gets stronger and more used to the level. The only thing i want to see is how he reacts to that first big contract. That is the major stumbling block of boys that grew up in roadman culture.

Anyways i am happy for him. He has a real chance. Arteta should bounce Merino from midfield and put him there for 1-2 games. Let us check something.

MLS has always played on the edge, however, the intensity of that edge, alongside the confidence was on another level today and I could tell.

I like how Arteta has managed his integration into the first team. Playing alongside Saliba and Gabu has been massive for his development on the defensive end. I don’t want him in the middle just yet because it is a way more difficult role that can overwhelm his development… Make e no go end up like Mainoo grin

I believe the midfield is his future but it has to be a slow cook. I liken it to what Ebening did with Saka when Saka emerged.

I’m not here to talk semantics with u, Havertz is Arsenal’s player that plays farthest inside the opponent’s half . Whatever name u choose to call his role is immaterial ; he’s saddled with goal scoring in the team and somehow wingers are outscoring him .

His signing is the most stupid signing because we needed a player who is known more for scoring goals at the time he was signed . He was supposed to be that guy who would score load of goals but always find ways to keep the ball out of the net than putting it inside the set .
He is not the one mainly with the responsibility to score goals. In false 9 system it is the inverted wingers that have that as their main responsibility. The main role of the false 9 is to create the space and overloads. Of course he should score when he has the chance and he does and in fact is our leading scorer but that's not his main role. It is similar to saying Odegaard has less goals than Trossard or Martinelli. Doesn't make sense to castigate him.

I agree he needs to improve his finishing because he gets into the position but saying it's his main role is false.

I know what a false 9 is and I know what the role of a false 9 is. If u are being honest with urself , u will know that Havertz plays is more advanced than the normal traditional false 9.

Havertz’s role is more advanced than what Fabregas played for Spain when they had Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in midfield and he had to play false 9.

Most of our chances fall to Havertz after Saka and or Martinelli must have done their part in taking out one or two defenders . Havertz somehow always fails to convert those chances ; this is a regular occurrence in his game and not just a one-off thing .

This happens in almost all the games he plays for us; for every goal he scores he would’ve missed 2 or more . We all know if Saka, Martinelli , Odegaard or Trossard were to be playing in that his advanced role they would have more goals than he does . Converting few out of the numerous chances that drops at his feet doesn’t make him a good signing at all.

Kolo muani to juve is done
Can we speed up on vlahovic loan, we have villa next
The game is getting more difficult to be missing chances with that useless guy upfront
I hope we can get cunha too, wolves are fighting relegation and this is the best time to poach their best players

LOL. He is a bit different to Mainoo in that he depends slightly more on physicality while Mainoo depends more on technique. He would also have the support of Declan Rice who is a tank in disguise. I was always waiting for them to play together in the junior teams, but they kept missing each other. Mainoo always left the age group just before MLS got there. That double pivot would have been wicked.

P.S Mainoo never end up like anything. grin
Na normal 2nd season challenges in a dysfunctional team.

We have seen both Trossard and Martinelli playing in advanced positions and yet nothing happened.

It's easy to mention names but when they are given the opportunity they mess up.

Last night people were calling for Martinelli to replace Sterling. But when Arteta did that, Martinelli came out even worse.

I have already accepted that Havertz misses chances. But that's because he finds himself in those positions. Another player will not miss a chance because he won't get into position.

I agree Havertz should improve his goals record, but I cannot call him worst signing when currently he is the top scorer in a team that is second in the PL. Last season he was second top.

For me that cannot be too bad.

I saw your defense of Arteta with Roland, you're not applying the same principle with Havertz.

Are you sure you're not being emotional about this because of popular opinion?

A player who was brought in to sort our goals problem but has consistently messed up chances after chances is not worst signing; if he's not , then who is ?

Popular opinion as how? I watch Havertz every week in Arsenal colors , I do not only watch the matches live but also watch replays when SuperSports show replay few days after the match. Havertz was poor at Chelsea and still poor at Arsenal. Most of the goals he scores for us , Nketiah would score them and even more without us having to pay him huge salaries.

I say Havertz is our worst signing because we signed a player that misses chances more than he scores for 65 million and earns almost 300k as weekly salary ; making him the highest paid player at Arsenal. I know you like Havertz(for reasons best known to you) , but those of us who are not emotionally attached to him just have to say things the way they are; Havertz joining us did not improve our team as it should.

I hope the club signs another frontman and give such player chance, u will see how much Havertz's signing has drawn us back.

Rice, how many lungs does this guy have
I never rated him when he was in West Ham or when we wanted to buy him cause I feel he will fade away like every white English players but this guy is a perfect box to box
His ability to also read game is brilliant, In the closing minutes he noticed partey is getting tired, he dropped deeper to help
He also form formidable partner with MLS
