The essence of floating the naira was to among other things eradicate or at least reduce arbitrage. Currently, there is a 120 naira gap between the official and the parallel markets. This implies that there's enough latitude for roundtripping. This is something this administration has been bluffing about.

Naira has started searching for its true level again, according to agbado munchers.

Since may 2023, naira has been looking for its true level again.

Who know where it can find its level ?

Dollars moved from abroad to Nigeria during the festive period by our yankee brothers and sisters don dey finish. Expect the naira to fall more against the dollar as the year goes by.
Don't mind those wailing.
Some people don't understand the dynamics of naira movement hence they tend to react to every little rise and fall. Since they didn't bother to find out the reason the Naira improved against the dollar in December, they should prepare themselves because it's only going to get worse in the next few weeks before it gets better again

Lol...instead of demanding transparency and accountability from an administration whose policies are failing and impoverishing Nigerians everyday, some dumb elements in their youthful stage have stupeedly preoccupied themselves with a coup that happened more than 50 years ago!
Some one even claimed the removal of the regional government was done by a military head of state but yet successive civilian presidents never deemed it fit to bring back such structure!
Will a reminder of the 1966 coup provide the basic necessities for the common man to strive in Nigeria?
Na today you know say Nigerians dey like think backward

We told them late November through December 2024, that naira was appreciating because of high volume of diasporal remission and people coming from overseas. But they were saying Chicago trained accountant and goons at can and finance minister are in charge.

You can give what you don't have

But you can't blame the guy. Face the people who handles the economy of the country and the president. It doesn't matter what an individual think. Some want it high.some what it low. Every country has speculators. But leadership determines

The growing gap between the parallel market and official exchange rates directly impacts Nigeria's cost of living. Being heavily import-dependent, a weaker Naira means higher prices for imported goods, from food to electronics, pushing up inflation. This discrepancy also fuels market instability, making essential commodities even less affordable for the average Nigerian, further straining household budgets.
So if you know all these. You think those people in abuja don't know? As long as corruption and impunity is still breeding large. Don't expect anything good. Even if they make 10 steps forward, soon another 50 step back. And they are all corrupt. They are feeding fat. Every country have bad people but once they get leadership right, things work. Nigeria problem is leadership and we are yet to get it right. Maybe some day, some years. Hope things would not have spoil beyond redemption by then

i get you, i wish too but i am not selfish and it doesnt affect me directly as the economy av lil or NO impact on my LIFE at the moment but i am still positive and PRAYING for them back home.. but NIGERIANS on their own dont know what they want, imagine dem still HOPING on INCREASE, who's life will get HARDER ?
Honestly u can't blame this people. This people were born into an environment that things don't work from government. Where we wake up to news of stolen fund and yet nothing is done. A country where there is no sensitisation on what been patriotic is. Are the leaders patriotic? No. Only to their pocket. So we are left with just few who are sane and who believe the nation can move forward. But like I said, the goodness of this nation still rise and fall on leadership. Until then, the people will keep getting worst. It is not prophecy. It's happening. Do u see the rate of fraud in both public and private organization? High rate of yahoo yahoo. Majority of ladies have turned runs girl to meet ends meet. Ritualist on the rise and yet no government has make it a national emergency to clamp on them or place money bounty on their heads because they themselves are involved. Brother it is well
