Why is it very hard to know the particular ethnicity within hausa or fulani these political and prominent bigwigs in the core north are from. Atleast among the peasants and commoners one can easily identify the Hausas or the Fulanis but for the elites, its hard to identify the ethnicity.
Is it a deliberate machination

I ve heard some say he is full blooded Fulani but why is it hard for these northern elites to openly identify with whether Hausa or fulani. Some say that all the prominent ones are now Fulanis even the emirs

how can u be Hausa and then Fulani at the same time. Is that really possible? Like Igboyoruba or vice versa. Something is intrinsically wrong with that symbiotic relationship

Don't mind the deceitful people here suddenly feigning ignorance if Dangote is Hausa or Igbira? He is FULANI.

Did you think Fulanis would even give a Hausa that type of slack to fleece Nigeria?

He is allowed to milk Nigeria how he likes because he is FULANI!

no doubt this kind of question will always emanate from the igbos. For the northerners 1. Religion 2nd hausa language. 3rd north.

Lol, even from the peasants an average southerner makes the egregious mistakes that every light skinned northerner is fulani and every dark skinned northerner is Hausa. As a core northerner myself, I can tell you that this is far from the truth.

The truth is except for states like Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe where the domesticated Fulanis have a substantial presence, all other northern states especially Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kebbi etc have a huge (over 80%) of what can very aptly be referred to Hausa/Fulanis. These population majority of whom have Hausa as their lingua franca might have one or two grand parents or great grant parents who were Fulanis but can neither speak fulfulde (the fulani language ) nor necessarily are light skinned.

It is annoying when a southern guy classifies a northern man or woman as Hausa or Fulani purely based on skin complexion.

Stop giving yourself unnecessary headaches.

You cannot separate the Hausa - Fulani even if you try from now till 2500AD. Culturally, religiously, politically we are one.

So your answer is Dangote, Africa's richest man, is Hausa Fulani. The same as his fellow Hausa Fulani Forbes Billionaire Abdulsamad Rabiu (BUA). cheesy

They are tormented by the unity and political sagacity of those great, populous people that is unrivalled in Africa. Now couple that with the huge unequalled economic exploits of Dangote and BUA, the Hausa-fulani building the biggest refineries in Africa and you will start to see the clearer picture.

These same populous Hausafulani are a major controlling force in both the PDP & APC which means they're ALWAYS politically relevant unlike some five percenters. Its not easy to be dominated left, right and center

That's why Hausa Fulani will continue to torment, live rent free, expand and build settlements on their brains cool

IPOB's are compound ignoramuses.

Attahiru BAFARAWA, the first governor of Sokoto State, the seat of the caliphate, is from one of the few pure Hausa clans remaining called BOGOBIRI (you can tell from their tiger tribal marks) was governor of Sokoto State - birthplace of Usman Danfodiyo the fulani warrior - for 8 years starting from 1999.

If Hausa Fulani are not one how is it possible he was given full executive power over the entire Hausa Fulani state, even over a Fulani Sultan for 8 years?

Hausa-Fulani are one, strong, proud, powerful united people and that's why Lamidi Cownu and his ipob zombies are obsessed with them 24/7 cool

Don't stress about it. When eventually you are living in Arewa Republic, you won't have to worry about these things.

Aliko Dangote, an ethnic Hausa Muslim from Kano, Kano State, was born on 10 April 1957 into a wealthy Muslim family of the Nigerian bourgeoisie, the son of Mohammed Dangote and Mariya Sanusi Dantata, the daughter of Sanusi Dantata.
