In the SE of Nigeria for example, nobody builds palatial home without involvement of Engineers.

I actually meant that the construction of most of the palatial buildings always involve either the West, the Lebanese or the Chinese one way or the other. So, they know how to build them. It's not that we have some novel building technology that's new to the West.

I suppose this is why they employ actuaries. They would have assessed the risk of insurance and reinsurance. The probably of impact on insurance and reinsurance companies simultaneously is low but not impossible. I suspect they diversify their investments accordingly.
