Saner climes.

In 5 years, I predict the Health services would be wholly privatised.
Put it in perspective, that's government hospital where they pay almost to nothing

The UK as a country is gradually collapsing on all fronts. Seems the effects of brexit is catching up with them.

With so many Nigerian doctors and nurses getting employed by the NHS I'm not surprised about the decline in standards of UK hospitals! Same cankerworm killing the Nigerian healthcare system have infested the system in the UK!

Too bad!!!

We can rejoice. The UK health system is now so bad that there's no reason for our rich and politicians to bother stealing our foreign currency to go buy health there.

All we need now is a thread claiming the UK universities kill students, and Nigerians wouldn't be coming to buy university neither and will buy made in Nigeria instead.
At times I wonder why God decided to create stupid people like u..
People are dying and you're rejoicing..
As if that's not enough.... U are praying for UK universities to kill Nigerian students....
Woe will betide your family and anyone who supports this evil mind of yours... Bitter goat

BECAUSE THEIR PATIENTS ARE DYING IN CORRIDORS AND TOILET, IS THAT WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO KIDNAPPED ALL OUR MEDICAL DOCTORS AND NURSES HERE IN NIGERIA AND MOVED THEM TO LONDON ON A CHEAP VISA?

I don’t believe this story. The many reposts by the OP adds certainty to my assumption.
You have no sense. Ewu.

Oh sure, OP just woke up and began inventing facts and figures in his head to post on Nairaland.

They brainwashed you that ''abroad'' is heaven on Earth where ''everything works''. That is why you are shocked to read they actually have huge problems there. Welcome to reality.

Do you also know that there are thousands of poor, homeless English people who sleep under the bridge in cities there?

Thats a big ignoramus there... Even, s/he didn't know what a Nigerian polithivian really is capable of 🤣🤣🤣.
Jakumo:
Nigerian politicians flush with hard currency don't patronize government-subsidized NHS medical facilities in the UK where the poor and middle class join ques lasting many hours to visit overburdened doctors.

Those super-wealthy Nigerian politicians pay pounds sterling for PRIVATE hospital care in London's Harley Street area, which 80% of the UK population could never afford.

The UK health system has been completely taken over by medical practitioners from third world countries.

Woke and DEI will be the end of civilization.

For your information, fewer people die in UK hospitals than in Nigerian ones, and UK universities, that intelligent Nigerians are saving money to pay exorbitant fees to buy education from, do not kill anyone of them.

Tinubu recently went for care at Saint Mary's in Paddington, which is a NHS hospital, and King's in Denmark Hill, a NHS hospital, admits international fee paying patients at £500 a bed a night (2016 prices).

They do both have private wings I do admit, and Tinubu was not served NHS, but the same doctors serve both private and NHS patients in both hospitals.

That said, the article is talking more about emergency arrivals, and it's not as dire as is being made out if Nigerian standards are considered where more die.
It's worse Bro. A friend told me she's had a 3weeks appointment to see the Doctor. You can't just walk in to see a Doctor the same way we do here in Nigeria. Private hospital are too expensive

Even with this report, the UK health system is still a trillion times better than that of Naija and even better than U.S and Canada combined.

You guys will just start typing shits.

Yes you can walk in to see a doctor, you just have to go to the emergency section.

I was down with severe chest pain in October last year and all I did was simply walked into the emergency section and within hours I was thoroughly scanned and treated.

Forget the isolated cases reported in the media.. The UK health system is actually the best in the world.

Bro I'm not measuring prick here. I'm sharing a first hand experience of a UK resident. It obvious that UK need to invest more in the NHS that have served their country so well.
For us in Nigeria, aside from the collapsed healthcare infrastructures and facilities, we also do have long wait time as there are shortages of health workers especially Doctors.
You guys springs to defend this your new found country.

Very sad indeed

See the shortage of health practitioners despite the massive inflow of medics from third world countries

The other day, I came across a video of one white guy clamouring for "re-migration" protest in march stating that foreigners has come to overrun their land and they are now second class citizens in their country

If all the migrants adding value to their health care system leaves, imagine what would happen
the immigrants are not only there to add to their health medics number, they are also there to add to the number of the patients..

The more the immigrants, the more the patients.

So don't talk as if the immigrants are recvng their health treatment in Spain and Germany

And I'm telling you first hand as a resident that the person who narrated the story to you is naive.

If a health issue is not pressing, there could be a waiting period of some months which makes sense but when it comes to serious health issue you can walk into the emergency section of any hospital and get prompt treatment same day.

I had an eye surgery after waiting for about 18months cos it's not an emergency and remember we are talking about first class health care absolutely free.

Please don't even mention Nigeria in any form when talking about UK healthcare.
