Sorry , But naija rich and influential don't even approach the NHS for treatment but instead approach the numerous private healthcare facilities for treatment and checkup. Nothing do them, budaatum: |

davodyguy:My goodness! December 2025 for a medical emergency? That's a dysfunctional NHS system. I'll have to make this a talking point this weekend with my younger brother who lives in England with his fam. I wish your relative a quick recovery... But read on till the end to gain some further insights To be honest, with advancements in the field of medicine right now in the area of stem cell therapy or regenerative medicine and more, people simply have to find ways of getting first, second, and third opinions in the medical field in treating themselves and close relatives. The famous American public speaker and writer Anthony Robins (who stands tall at 6 foot 7) talked about a very painful medical condition that occured when he had a very bad fall while skiing in Europe. The shoulder pain was very severe for weeks whenever he tried to move his arms, so, he met different American doctors who said he had to go for a major surgery which would have led to him being off the international public-speaking circuit for over 6 months while taking a bed rest from the surgery. Fortunately, Anthony came across another doctor and scientist who said Anthony didn't require ANY major disruptive surgery. He was recommended to visit the "Panama Stem Cell Institute" in Panama where he got placental stem cells injected into the extremely painful shoulder and within just 2 days, the pain had stopped! Even the lower back pain that Anthony Robins had earlier for over 10 years also miraculously disappeared within those 2 days and NEVER returned. A visit to his cardio specialist also showed he was performing more optimally and he was estimated to be 10 years younger than his age. I intuitively sensed that sense of medical urgency in your post and this is why I'm sharing these profound medical insights with you. The use of placental stem cells for treatments of ailments such as cancer, neurological disorders, extreme pains, and more is already redefining modern, cutting-edge medicine. All these and more are contained in Anthony's massive book of over 800 pages entitled "Life Force" which I have read, but haven't finished yet. The first 100 pages of Anthony's book where fantastic to read. As I type this, MOST orthodox medical professionals worldwide are NOT fully trained or aware about current trends in medicine so they have to be retrained. This is why when you go from one doctor to another, they give different opinions and results. So, it's important that you do your due diligence by getting first, second, and third opinions from medical experts. Enjoy your day. Ciao. |

Population of UK 65m just 4 times the population of Nigeria with all their stolen wealth and others couldn't find permanent fix for their healthcare, I think how we are surviving in this country despite all the hardship should be a case study in university in UK |

Tayorshd87:I don't think you can comprehend what you wrote very well. Nigeria is a shit hole because the country handlers have made mess of the country, from health care to transportation etc. People like you with newly found love for the govt would soon be tired. I believe Nigeria would soon become better when the right sets of people are elected but for now, criminals are in charge |

Konquest:I met a Doctor in Lagos last year, who told me he has been living with a tumor in his brain. He's almost removing it when another senior surgeon warned against it. He said 20 years after, he's still alive with same tumor well managed. I agree on second opinion |
| Re: Patients Dying In Corridors As UK Hospital Standards Collapse by Konquest: 5:47pm On Jan 17, 2025*. Modified: 3:56pm On Jan 18, 2025 |
davodyguy:@davodyguy Indeed, as long as it's a BENIGN brain tumor as of 2004 till now, then it's absolutely better to leave it as is, so as NOT to complicate issues through surgery. I don't mean to use a broad stroke to tar all of them, but some medical folks can unintentionally put you in danger with wrong advice due to fatigue or lack of retraining on the current trends in the medical field. There's a gentleman (Dr. Ikudayisi is his name) based in Florida who has also introduced the use of adult stem cell therapy (regenerative medicine) back in Lagos, Nigeria, so, things are panning out right in the medical field on the Motherland as well. |

When a working healthcare system decides to import doctors and nurses from a failed healthcare system like Nigeria, the result is that they equally import corruption, ineptitude, non compliance with standards and all other ills associated with the failed system. Check very well, you'll see that the "Nigerian factor" is contributing to the decline in standards of healthcare in the UK! |

jaephoenix:Smh. It is obvious that you are not a top-rated healthcare professional You will not finish with great grades from a top medical school here in Nigeria and "flood" such a system when your grades and pedigree gives you great multiple options for both Nigerian and overseas career advancement. In life, the top is not crowded o ![]() |

EndBuhariNow:They had an excellent NHS healthcare system before immigrants flooded in and stretched it beyond its limit. Patients that can afford to pay out of pocket are not affected by this crisis, it's the lower income ones majority of whom are migrants. |
