The oil money is free money. The south did not work for it as well. Both the North and the south are wrong to depend on the oil money. Norway is only five million people and they don't depend on their oil money at all, they put it all in their sovereign wealth fund which is like the Oodua group of western Nigeria.

but honestly the north is more fertile we have the capability to feed whole west Africa as of now not even southern Nigeria but Niger Republic, Chad, Benin, some part of Cameroon depended on the north for their grains source our only problem is insecurity of farmers.

I just went through your ridiculous previous thread.Let me speak of Edo State which is where i am from.Every food that comes from the north can be grown here in Edo State.Tomstoes,Potatoes, Watermelon, Cucumber, Beans, Rice,Yams etc can be grown here in Edo State.I know for a fact that we have home grown cattles in orhionmwon LGA that is bigger than your malnutriched cattles from the north.Na only onion I can't confirm if it can be grown here.Yes the north offers nothing to Nigeria as a country.Boys for Niger Delta cause wahala for the for some time,but everybody enter house for the sake of the country.But una own since 2008 boko haram bandits,killer herdsmen,una nor want rest.

You don't get what the OP is saying., yes those things you mentioned do grow but what quantity. I am Edo too, we still depends largely from the north. Like we in Edo north, we hardly buy Northern yam cause we cultivate them in large quantities but it is not so in Benin land because of land sales and wahala. All those stuff you mentioned are grow in small scale outside yam in Edo state. Go to aduwawa and see that everyday, trailers enter Benin from the north and bring those you mentioned in large quantities. South depends on the north for food crops at ninety percent. Our governors has failed to properly develop agriculture.

It’s obvious that you are a agent of disunity especially in these trying times. You know deep down that the south is the economic backbone of Nigeria. Look at Niger and Chad, without the south, the north will be Chad 2.0, with extreme poverty, religious extremism and terrorism on a daily basis. The so called farms in the north can’t run without consequential subsidy of over a trillion Naira yearly in fertilizers and other farming inputs.

Then, you also have the herdsmen that destroys our farms down south, feeding on our yielding crops, killing our farmers and kidnapping southerners for ransom. If you continue with your submission, it will be obvious that the actions of the herdsmen is a northern agenda to ensure that they are the sole producers of food crops in Nigeria.

Even your livestocks can’t survive without grazing in the south, just accept your reality that you need the south not to be impoverished and then we can work as a country utilizing eachother’s strengths instead of dwelling on ethnic and tribal agendas.

We have survived this far as a country, but if you want to portray the false narrative that the south is dependent on the north, you know within you that you will be disgraced with factual data.

So it’s best we focus on building national unity and forget about the drivels of divisionists

We have not mentioned the technological advancement in the south which left the north taking several seats backwards. The south imports technology to the north.
