All the nonsense news about schools in Nigeria are often heard in Lagos.

This shows that the officials who allowed these kinds of schools to be approved are corrupt.

Only parents that can afford it do so. They can't wait for their 2 year old kid to start school just to show off. But the same people will take a back seat and wait until a child is 4 or 5 if they are broke.

No child should go to school hale and hearty and return home dead. This is a clear case of negligence which the school probably tried to hide. Most of these schools think it's just a case of charging hefty sums. They don't know the life and well-being of the child rests solely on their shoulders.
Even if the child fell into a pool someone should have been watching and such a person and the school are culpable in the death of the child.
Hope justice would be served and money and influence won't affect the matter.

Accident happens but make sure you are not found wanting by being negligent..naked wire ke or drowning both due to negligence.

People these just bang and birth without wanting to dedicate time and raise the kids they bore.

First off....what is a two year old child doing in school? ... when the child should've been bonding with family members and trained? From the photo one can have a good idea of the mentality of the mother .... having the child with hair extensions and lip gloss as if she were an adult. Not surprised that such a parent will enroll her child at such an early age ...and be proud of it .

Why would they say they child was electrocuted? ....maybe her fingers/feet were scorched. But Incan understand them saying the child was tossed into the pool if it were very well fenced. They must be heartless to do such ...toss the dead body of a child in a pool to cover up the real cause of death. The Police should perform their duty and haul the entire staff in for serious interrogation. Regardless ...the school is liable and somebody should be held accountable.

Back to the topic, either the girl drown or get electrocuted, it doesn't change the fact that the school is guilty of negligence. Things like this don't even happen in public schools. Parents pay school fees through their noses, and you still can't guarantee the safety of their kids. Smh

Yes, the school must be investigated and the guilty parties penalized.
However, comparing this to a public school is wrong.
Safety in public school is not a result of policy or carefulness but that of different
circumstances defined by scarcity.

First, public schools won't accept a 2 year old and most neither have swimming pools
nor connected to electricity. So, you can never hear about drowning or electrocution.

BTW, I don't think any school dealing with kids should have a swimming pool in its vicinity
barricaded or not, manned or not. I also wonder why an electric outlet will allegedly
be accessible to kids to the point of electrocution.
Lagos state will probably need a new law to prevent reoccurrence.

This reminds me of Davido's son, if he was born to a poor family, he will likely
be alive as there will be no pool to drown inside.
But that doesn't mean rich families don't care about children's safety as the poorer ones.

And family where both parents work must use one.

This same west also allows daycare where working mothers can drop their infants as young as 3 months old. How would you know this when all your exposure does not go beyond your local government area?

I always say this and will continue saying it, my children must be at least 3years old before they start school. I might even extend it to 4years after this terrible news.

Some of these schools are fancy mortuaries, don't allow them deceive you with packaging.....The owners don't care about the welfare of your children, they just want their school fees that's all.

Parents should always discuss with their children EVERYDAY after school, my elder sister used this method for her child and she discovered many shocking things about his school and called the director to order.......

Assuming my nephew nor sabi talk we for nor know wetin dey happen for school.
