Why do the government sometimes like repeating obsolete methods and be expecting different results? The intentions of distributing N70k to 70 m Nigerians but those what will spearhead the program might have different intentions. Reasonable amount of the money would be embezzle without getting to the real beneficiaries. Let government open centres across Nigeria where the vulnerable people can apply with bio metric, after approval, let them be credited directly to their provided bank account when registering. We can't continue to be keeping fried fish with cat overnight |

Sharing money or food to citizens in the name of palliative, is never a good economic policy, especially in a country like Nigeria. The intentions are never achieved. Such palliatives only serve to provide temporary relief in emergency situations like earthquake. |

GanagiBitrus:The problem is the government and reasonable number of the citizens are lazy thinkers, no disrespectful. Even those that have been provided with sufficient loans or credit to boost their business, then end up squandering the money. The acclaimed Billionaires in Nigeria, if you know how much debt they are owning AMCON which they are not even interested in paying back self |

helinues:How you juxtapose the words "thinking" and "lazy" baffles me... Why the generalization? How can a country make headway without basic amenities? I am into printing in Delta state, during the first few months of the current president's administration... quite a handful of printers closed shop, they couldn't afford diesel, the price was too high! It was catastrophic manh! We aren't lazy ... Sometimes the systems are rigged against the common man! Let the common man on the street feel the impact of the government.... Better and affordable health care, electricity, accessible roads! I used to ply the southern - northern roads back then... we could afford transportation and there was security, but the same cannot be said now! Enter road .... You'd experience bad road, you'd experience kidnapping, armed robbery, prohibitive costs, which way brother? Now the government is tasking the citizenry left, right and center, I only hope the funds will be used for meaningful projects... I won't be surprised if I am insulted |
