Great nvestment ...it is on the awardees to return. We don't know the conditions of the scholarship ... I'm almost sure there are measures in place to make it not worth staying in the UK after completing studies. But this is my problem with such scholarships and expectations .... will the infrastructure be in place for the returnees to practice and share what they learned? ... to innovate or make. changes in what they learn to be more effective at home? For example ... someone returning from the UK as a doctor ... he cannot function well in Nigeria because of lack of all the up to date equipment he needs .... lack of an up to date staff .... and lack of qualified and experienced follow up support staff. A heart surgeon may return ...perform a successful heart surgery....but the patient dies due to incompetent after care staff. It is important that the returnees would return to meet an environment in which they can perform....if not ... some may be willing to return but wouldn't ...while some would ...but not stays

It's a good idea, what he did. These people will school abroad, some will continue working abroad while others will come back. The ones who remain will be repatriating funds while the ones who come back will improve their state. This is what China did to get to the level they're currently at

Hope uzodinma promised imo youths that he will send them abroad for studies only for ebonyi gov to bring it into reality in his state.

Nothing positive will come from spending government funds to send Nigerians to study abroad. Invest that fund in local industry to benefit all Ebonyi people

What Okpokpo9 just said is beyond your comprehension.

The fact that you are interested in repatriating funds from the UK instead of local industrialisation is shocking. The entire remittance from Nigerians is less than $25 billion less than the potential income of Dangote Refinery and petrochemical company; I imagine if Nigerians had 10 Dangote instead of 1 million Nigeria remitting peanuts.
