As at early 2000 it was a full 12hrs journey. If you take Okene Lokoja Abuja Akwanga. I dont know the state of the road now.

A lot of crime are underreported in this country.

Just this last week , I know someone who was buried after she was killed by a hit and run vehicle in Oshodi here in Lagos late December. The incident didn't even make it to any news media be it internet blog or radio station sef.

I had reason to visit Naija Confra last week and I was amazed at the amount of cult killings happening in the country that's not getting news coverage...and a sh1t ton of those cult killings happen in Lagos that's naturally is in the centre of news in the country.

We passed through Okada.

We drove for like 10 minutes and there was no oncoming vehicle or bike. No human being. No body walking. No checkpoint. Just farms and forest.

The driver said the road is usually like that. If dem kidnap you there, no need to enter bush. Na for under one tree there dem go begin make calls for ransom. Lonely is an understatement when describing that road

When I was coming back, I passed from Sabo to Oluku junction....Make I no make the same mistake, abeg.

One day I took Night bus Plateau Riders from Jos to Lagos. when we passed Lokoja around Adavi Local govt, our driver noticed that no vehicle was coming from the other side. He parked and said he wasnt going further. Other drivers parked behind him. One bus said he would risk it like 1hr later we saw his passengers running back that the bus was attacked people killed and some of them escaped

It was the Lokoja mopol that came and engaged the robbers before we were able to pass like 4hrs later

Omo ! That Naija contra updates on cult clashes are crazy . If u don’t check their page/telegram channel , u will not know that much number of lives are lost regularly to senseless cult killings .

Just go to Abuja and sleep. Abuja to Jos is not more than 3-4 hours and from Jos to Mangu camp no reach 2 hours.

It has always been a dangerous road. I think like 20yrs ago, the robbers drove a full bus into the bus and stripped everyone naked

One time they had people lie down on the road and vehicles drove over them

Funny thing is I didn't see anything from PH... Lagos, Edo, and Anambra really carry the thing for head.

They are trains from Edo to lokoja. Cheaper and convenient.

They were plans for connecting trains from lokoja to Abuja. Don't know how far they have gone with that.

There was one Ondo place wey the road get corner corner bends like that. Ipele to Ido Ani to Ibillo to Okene

They are currently working on that road so na one way everybody dey pass. There's another back road from Benin to Warri through abraka.
