What are we supposed to do with this news?

I hope you can spot the difference between the president and lamba king?

If lamba king was the one that called him, he would have announced it to the world, create a tweet and perhaps tell us how 20 years ago he bought his music CD to encourage him, but in this case, it is the receiver of the call that is exposing it himself.

ZACHIE:
To any decerning mind, this conversation speak to a laissez Faire government that is not busy. Period.

A President finding space to call a fuji singer over the death of a 105 woman is not a president that is overwhelmed with the problems of a sick nation.

A supposedly grieving fujician who uses the occasion of his mother's death to pepper all of us by disgracefully purring the president on speaker says so much about pride, decency and the lack thereof.

That whole episode was not necessary. Period.
Obj and Abacha would probably be caning such effrontery.

My president is not the playmate of a Talazzo Disco crooner.

No talk ooh!

Tinubu is still the President ooh!

President's call hitting my Phone is a breakthrough, let's push sentiment, hate or whatever aside.

Have you all heard the Street parlance; "one minute call can change the story"
It's this type of call.

Abeg, President Tinubu make you call me; 08068125041.
Hungry soul lol

Referring to the president who is older than him as “iwo”? I am disappointed in Kwam1!!!
I felt the same way too but please remember that in most yoruba Christian songs, some people prefer referring to God as iwo rather than eyin. For example I prefer the term Iwo ni oluwa Jehovah.., than eyin ni oluwa Jehovah.... because I felt closer to God if I used the term iwo. Please remember that language always evolves. Every time a yoruba song is sang using Eyin to refer to God, I prefer to change it to iwo and that makes me feel closer. This is 2025, things and the way we reason are changing my guy. You need to move with change or die doing it the old time way. Imagine I'm over 50 years telling you all these while I should be the one criticizing KWAM 1 because I grew up thinking the same way you do.

He Wasiu, was just being honest with the Truth OR should you suffer when your bosson Friend is in Power,as President of a Country?
What is being leaked here and why is it a Trend?
Alh Wasiu has been a friend to the President decades ago,so not now anyone or anybody wants to separate them!
When Asiwaju was building Friendships for Decades Ago,where are all Others?
Where are those who don't Build Relationships and they want to reap Relationships Seeds and Fruit 🍓!
On failure to used 'Eyin, instead of iwo',it could be that Alh Wasiu is being arrogant or the matter, met him accidentally to answer and you can see in the latter end of discussion by him- saying ' yes sir,yes Sir' still showing the Respect that is Valuable,- so he can be forgiven!
I beg,what are Friends For?

Familiarity brings contempt. KWAM 1 could not hide his arrogant nature and disrespected both the office of the Federal Repulbic of Nigeria and the person of Asiwaju BAT. Culturally BAT is his senior in age and in office, the use of singular pronoun in yoruba language for BAT is disrectpectul as it is for one's mate and junior (in age & position). KWAM 1 knew that but choose to be disrespectful.
Putting a private call of the President on speaker and on the internet is a disregard to protocol.

Lol, you people are very very pathetic. The same you that would hail Obi for visiting people's houses, attending funerals, matriculations, birthday parties, claiming he will mix well with the masses if he becomes president. You now see it as joblessness because it is not Obi in the picture this time around.

No, it is not, I think you should learn more about the use of such words at certain level of relationship.
When such is used to refer to an elder, it signifies a level of closeness that is different from the usual.
Awujale is old enough to give birth to him, yet he is addressed same way, and he even respects Awujale more than Tinubu, but still calls him Oba Sikiru or Sikiru.
Just the same way we usually address God with a lesser pronoun using "Iwo" instead of "eyin"
Even some of us address our aged parents, most especially our mothers that way, you hear words like Maami, wa pe fun mi, iku o ni pa e, etc, it usually happens when an individual attained a god status in our lives
