Sky Sports’ recent announcement of Cristiano Ronaldo as the Premier League’s greatest attacker has sparked widespread debate. However, the question remains: does Ronaldo’s legacy in the Premier League justify such a title? To assess this claim, it’s mindful to explore his performances, playing style, and statistics during his time at Manchester United. He is not. Some analysts, pundits or fans always get these things wrong....for example, Gareth Bale was great but not a premier league great. He became great at Madrid. Just like Thierry Henry was a premier league great but not a La Liga great....Ronaldo is one the greatest players of all time overall, but his greatest strides was at Real Madrid not in England..

For saying this, you just clearly don't know Ronaldo in his first stint in Manchester United, please check his 2007/08 career record and statistics, then come back and tell me it's still a lie. Did your so called Thierry Henry did even 20% of that record let me know. Thank you 👍

Lol, we are not quarrelling.. "your so called Thierry Henry'. There is no need for this. I don't know him from Adam.

2. Btw, I sighted Gareth Bale and Henry as two examples. It was you who decided to pick Henry and not Bale to mention.

3. Ohh, so it was stats for one season that was used? I didn't know...

4. The 07/08 stats that you mention, is it for his whole season in all competitions for Man Utd or for the premier league? All the competitions are in isolation. For example, if No Sallah top scores with 30 goals in the premier league this season, and say Erlin Harland comes second with 26, but then scores 30 in the champions league and Mo Sallah ends with 20 in the premier league, it simple means Sallah is the greater Striker in the premier league while Halland is greater in the Champions league.

So it also means, if in years time some pundits or sky say Sallah was the greatest attacker in the premier league for the 24/25 season there will be no argument. On the flip side, if Halland then goes ahead and wins the champions league with City scoring that number of goals, he will be greater in the Champions league and not the premier league...
