13 months after, my family became permanent resident. It can only be God.
Congratulations.

I remember your earlier thread and some people blabbing

Thank God for the progress you've made so far

Very good story. Your wife is great! Did you manage to find job in your discipline now or you have gone other route?
I work as an Account payable officer here, much lower than my position in Nigeria. But the difference is crystal clear.

A slave is rejoicing that his master granted him permanent resident to be working as a slave. Shame EWU from southern Nigeria.
I was a slave in Nigeria working Monday to Saturday in Nigeria. From 8am to sometimes 6.30pm

Here, I work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Overtime is frowned at.

This information is very necessary. How much naira is one USD. What makes you think that other countries are not already aware that you are ' finished'.

In as much as this sounds like a good news, we Nigerians need to do better by avoiding posting topics like this online, we are indirectly telling these countries that Nigerians are desperate to leave Nigeria and that obtaining their PR or passports is more than a breakthrough and dream come true for us, thereby making things more difficult for those coming behind us.

We really need to do better than all these sharing of unnecessary travel information.

Sighs

The future looks super bright for his kids, nothing like incessant price hikes,a very balanced economy, crime rate low, unlike Nigeria here where everything is moving backwards at an alarming rate.

If you've not read my story, go read it.

Take away from my story is don't allow people to talk you away from your plan.

If I had listened to those who told me not to send my wife abroad, I wouldn't have been where I am today.

What I have achieved and saved this one year wouldn't have been possible in 5 years in Nigeria
This is what many don't know but I sense a lot of jealousy in people that don't have the opportunities when you tell them this bolded statement.

My brother, Banjul is the best place in the world to be. I am having the blast of my life here. It is the best kept secret as we don't want here to be flooded by Nigerians.

I will provide you a detailed account later.

I thought you moved back to Naija from UK and live in gated estate where you do remote work and earn in dollars?

Great point, but don't kid yourself that we can shield or hide info about Naija from the globe.

These people actually know far more than you think... Even more than you do.

They have their agents everywhere, even inside Naija.

During Covid, Americans and Britons knew about the shutdown in Nigeria before over 90% of Nigerians... They even knew about the looming Endsars crisis before you did.

So, how much info do you think you can hide from them?!!

In any case, PR process is strict and thoroughly screened... If you don't qualify, you don't qualify! What happens in your nation is quite moot.

Good question from an intelligent Nigerian. He said his wife was a student as at July 2023 for a 2yr course. By 2025 January 20, Dem done get 186 pr visa. The story get k-leg sha and the numbers are not making sense. Cos I know u have to work for a sponsoring employer for 2yrs or most times even more before they sponsor you for 186. Well, maybe the wife has some unique skills and qualifications that gave her the opportunity to get employer sponsorship so fast while on student visa.
But people should not be deceived that it is this easy. There are thousands of people on student visa on Australia even as far back as 2015 who haven't been able to convert to a P.R pathway.

But congratulations if he is saying the truth.
