Yes but Fulani consolidated it before the Fulani jihad lessthan 1% of yoruba are Muslims and most don't even know the religion deeply they are following it customarily but today 50% of them are Muslims, Fulani clerics, teachers, and imams in yoruba land formerly where mostly Fulani.
You are still a bloody liar. Islam was never introduced by Fulani to Yorubaland neither was it consolidated by Fulani bloody liar.

At first, you claimed Fulanis introduced Islam to Yorubas but it was debunked.

Now, you are lying that the population of Muslims were 1% in Yorubaland before the Fulani jihad war. Another fat lie.

The first mosque built in Yorubaland was in 1550 at Oyo ile. Was there Fulani in Yorubaland then or was it built by Fulani? Capital no. It was built by the Malians.

The second mosque was built in 1655 in Iwo land by Yorubas themselves before another were built in Iseyi 1760, Lagos 1774, Saki 1790 etc. Including towns like Ibadan, Ikirun, Ijebu ode, Ede etc. These areas had large populations of Muslims ever before Fulani war.

Did Fulani Jihad enter Lagos? Why do you think Lagosians have quit a large numbers of Muslims? From Fulani? You must be joking.

My great grandfather was already a Muslim before any Jihad and his convertion was not in Lagos/Nigeria neither by any Fulani person.

The large population of Muslims in Lagos is as a result of returnees from Sierra Leone and other countries that has nothingtodo with Fulani. It has nothing to do with Fulani Jihad. Bloody liar.

Did I hear you say they don't know how to practice Islam? That's one of the lies this Jihadist spread to justice their thirst for Monarchy system of government in guises of Islamic reformation.

Do you know since when islam was studied in Yorubaland? Ajami scripts was already in Yorubaland as far back as 14th century. Was it introduced by the Fulanis? No, you bloody liar.

There were Malins and Yoruba Islamic scholars as far back as 15th century teaching Islam in literature. angry

The scripts written by them are still there for all to see. You pathetic liar.

Show me one Ajani script written in Yoruba language in the 15th century by a Fulani. Bloody liar.

Why there is too much hate against Fulani?

Did you people forget about the service and sacrifice that our grandparents took all because of the people of Nigeria?

Our great grandfathers sacrificed their blood to build the sokoto caliphate the most developed state in sub Saharan Africa ever and build the future foundation of northern nigerian society, don't forget that Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna is among the Nigerian nationalists that fought for Nigeria freedom from British colonisers,
And again don't forget that we produce many of.
the Nigerian leaders and head of states.

Don't forget that when our ancestors firsts began settling in territory that become Nigeria in the 1300s especially in Hausa land it is an uncultured country, outside the borno empire, the Hausa where still unlettered people at this time and nominal Muslims especially in urban centers, in the rural areas Hausa land is nothing but a a group of idol worshipping pagan farmers with no contacts with the outside world, our grandparents taught them grammar and theology they exposed them to the outside world and they become partly part of the Muslim world and Islamic civilisation.

Don't forget our grandparents led revolution in hausaland that was known as the jihad which revolutionarised the northern nigerian society by creating emirates govern by emirs under the leadership of the sultan of sokoto, the Fulani emirs build new schools, market, public institutions like sharia law, effective tasks systems, and regulations concerning hygiene and education in Hausaland which even the Europeans who travelled at the area where surprised at how developed the caliphate was, even the British are astonished at how civilised the caliphate was which they never expect to see in sub Saharan Africa this greatly changed the British perception of savage Africa the British even see it foolish to destroy the whole well established system of government in caliphate and replaced them with theirs which is the birth of indirect rule in Nigeria.

Also don't forget that when the jihad expand outside hausaland in to the central Nigeria area which is at this time populated by barbaric Mountain dwelling naked tribesmen which till that time only serve as a slave breeding grown for Hausa, kanuri, and jukun monarch our grandparents gave them Islam and civilisation some convert but some still retreat in to in accessible mountains like Jos plateau which they continue there barbaric life until the missionaries found them and Christianised them, this is the area of present Gombe, Adamawa, bauchi, taraba Nasarawa, etc, even yoruba benefitted greatly from us there population is now 50 % Muslim all thanks to the work of Dan fodio (rta)

But while despite all this our contribution to Nigeria and our impact on Nigerian society you can still see some one whom his ancestors did nothing in laying the foundations of this country come and say that Fulani are not Nigerians bla bla bla, who deserve to be Nigerian more than the Fulani? Fulani are more Nigerian than any other ethnic group in Nigeria prove me wrong if you can.

Honestly speaking the Muslim population in yoruba land is greatly due to the influence of the jihadists yes I know Islam is very old in yoruba land but it was just a religion of mostly immigrants Hausa and mandinka traders who professed it the same way ancient Ghana empire has a dozen mosque for the Arab traders but the people if Ghana are not Muslim anyway at this time, and the fact they are using ajami doesn't mean they are Muslims since there are many non Muslim west African kingdoms that widely used ajami such as bambara and ashanti, they employ Muslims at there courts to keep records in ajami, what is more Fulani greatly served the Malian empire as administrators majority of Fulani in yoruba land can trace their descend directly to this Malians you are a talking about, alimi the first emir of Ilorin himself and his family are long been in yoruba land before jihad,
And between I never hear of yoruba Islamic scholars in pre jihad yoruba land can you named me some of them? Wanna know
And what is this Sierra Leone? The southward extension of futa djallon? Where the Fulani set up a jihadists state in late 1700s.

@forgiveness I never claimed that we inially bought Islam to Yorubas or any part of Nigeria except the central Nigeria area, but the Hausa and kanuris have Muslims among them very long ago but I say we just consolidated it

Illiteracy, poverty and criminality is in your dna and your evil satanic and barbaric Islamic religion makes you even more disgusting and undesirable.

danvon:
It is nothing but resentment and envy...

Fulanis are the master race of west africa, they are the aryans.

They resent Fulanis because the Fulanis were fully clothed while they were naked in the forests.

The Fulanis developed a proper system that brought peace and stability to a war torn region while they were busy fighting for one small barren land and performing human sacrifices as entertainment...

More importantly they hate Fulanis because no matter how much they accepted Christianity, no matter how better their English was, no matter how much they threw themselves at the British...

The British still loved and respected the Fulanis more than them.

Stop the bloody lies. Fulani never brought Islam to Yorubaland. Yorubas practiced Islam ever since before Dan Fodio's ancestors were born.

It is called esin imale for a reason being that it was brought by Malians traders. Blood liar.
I don't like Fulanis but I don't also like how Yorubas lie for goodness sake.

Who brought Islam to Yoruba land?

You people should stop this high level of telling lies for goodness sake.

Re: Why There Is Too Much Hate Against Fulani? by THEGALADIMA(m): 1:07am On Jan 21, 2025
The perceived hatred for Fulanis in Nigeria is the handiwork of the media, politicians and to a large extent the Fula elites.

Many Southern Nigerians and Northern Nigerian farmers are weary of FULA'S using their cows to destroy crops.
The Fulani through cultural groups like Miyetti Allah, should communicate effectively to their Nigerian brothers that there is no Anti Nigerian Fulani conspiracy.
The Fulani elites must seriously distance themselves from the violent ones among their people.
More efforts must be made to foster peace and socioeconomic cooperation among the different ethnic groups in Nigeria.
The fact is we all need each other and as President Buhari always emphasised, WE MUST BE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER.
In conclusion many of your historical analysis are apt, but a few are tainted in arrogance and blatant falsehood. An example is the mention of a rudderless Hausa society, that's a false narrative.

What is more my experience at nairaland has show me that southern Nigerians are suffering from severe inferiority complex against white people, just go to any israel-gaza war thread you will spotted some mumu slaves saying things like, Jews are the chosen people, Israel are God's own people, this nothing but inferiority complex and self hate.

You guys are very funny. If not for British joining everyone together and putting power at the centre, the issue of killer herders won't even come up.
It's just like saying killer herders invading the state of Israel. Just think about the consequences of such actions?
The eastern region won't tolerate killers in their midst. And if given the liberty to manage their security and especially the arm forces the security challenges will drastically be reduced.

They are product of Arab and Negro. And the fulanis that you see today has further mixed with other african race in senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Mali before they reach Nigeria.

Even in North africa like Libya, Morroco, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, they are different and these countries never considered fulani as part of them or their descendant talk more of palestian in middle east.

Have you seen a palestinian as dark as fulani?

You are not in anyway ready to see the end of the problem otherwise you will have accept buhari proroposed Riga scheme.
Which one is cattle grazing route?

Only in Nigeria will a stranger be given right to grazing route in another man land.

Nigeria leadership is messed up, inventing backward programs like :
1. Operation Safe corridor: begging bandits to repent while their victims are suffering.
2. Qouta system scores for education disadvantage states, while the beneficiary don't declare education emergency.

Nigeria is a comic book.

What is more a Fulani herdsmen are very knowledgeable a herder can go from sokoto to Cameroon in dry season transhumance and return home safely. Of course he should be richer, having made farmers poorer by attacking their produce and rendering other regions insecure.

How much is minimum wage?

An average Nigerian graduate would by a cow seemlessly 20 years ago.

In Netherlands, Australia ,UK cattle owners build milk factories.
Why have the cattle herders in West Africa not done the same.
Why not innovate to become industrial meat and milk producers in Nigeria and West Africa?

It is not a priority for them.

IGBOS and other Southern people's are on lucky we don't conquered them because of tse tse fly our southward limit of expansion correspond to the tse tse fly belts.
our ancestors are far sighted they emigrated all the way from barren Sahara desert in to the most fertile land in West African if not we will still be impoverished in the Sahara like the tuaregs or changed to camel rearing in the arid and hot desert.
