This will NOT bring a penny more from diaspora. It's already VERY easy to remit money and at better rates than CBN. Unless they ban apps

Great great great! Basically non-residents saving in Nigerian banks. If this pilot test succeeds with Nigerian diasporas, Nigeria may as well be on the path to being the financial headquarters for other countries' nationals.

And financial services sector is the major source of income of some number of countries in the world.

Sound initiative. Hopefully it succeeds. Mostly would depend on the trustworthiness of the Nigerian banking system, and the innovations and ease of banking with the banks.

Practically meaning you used a 'fake' proof of residence. You used your erstwhile proof of residence.

This initiative means no need to be 'fake', use your US or whatever country's residence and you're cool.

Practically any amount you wish and they charge very little or free, and at black market rate. CBN simply can't compete

oga sending money from any western nation to nigeria now is so easy with good rate you dont need any CBN ,so if i have 5000euros to send to nigeria at rate of 1700naira with my app then i will go and give it to cbn at rate of 1600 naira then lose 500k?una with cbn dey mad
