johnjunior39:We needed that lb addition bro, I don't know how you guys analyse it, but we really needed that addition. There's nothing wrong in buying a lb, a winger and a midfielder at the same time. The fact that they couldn't get a winger or cf doesn't make the purchase of Calafiori a waste or not necessary. |

johnjunior39:Sterling was supposed to be Saka's deputy but apparently that was an unwise move going by how poor Sterling's form was at Chelsea last season. That's why I said Arteta and the management deserve to be criticized for that signing. There's nothing wrong in signing Calafiori at a time he was available considering how quality he is. Don't forget he was one of the best players at the last Euro. This criticism of Calafiori is sounding like the criticism of Gabriel's signing back then led by Kokane and the others. Look at how well Gabriel has now turned out. There's actually nothing wrong in signing a quality player who is available at a decent price and signing him should not in any way stop us from adding a striker the same transfer window. Arteta and the club should've also signed a striker particularly after selling off Nketiah. But I guess they were looking at how we didn't lack goals last season despite playing without a regular top 9. Remember we scored 91 goals in the EPL last season; just 5 short of Man city that had Halland. I think that is the highest number of goals we've scored in a premier league season. Now that it is clear we are having goal droughts unlike last season, it is only reasonable that we sign a striker. |

germaphobe:GBAM! That was how they were saying Gabriel's signing wasn't necessary back then. They said he should've signed attackers and midfielders; that was what led to the defence vs attack argument instead of advocating for a balanced team. |

germaphobe:Rice won something in Europe with West Ham 😂 He didn't just sign for city he was in academy too How many years should we give Felix that's having his second string at Chelsea These are the players you want to bring to arsenal, I swear we go cry pass man united fans🤣🤣 |

https://youtube.com/shorts/ABE8JdPtZ14?si=JC_S5h9x-s1y881n I find it hard to believe the claim made by Adebayor in this video . He claims Wenger called him after coming back from an Holiday and told him he’s no longer needed at Arsenal . That was not how I remember his departure from Arsenal at all . |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 2:19pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:see how quickly you changed the narrative to winning something in Europe. Oya Odegaard, what have he to show as a quality player in Arsenal?. If he leaves tomorrow will you also ask what he achieved in Epl?. And no Douglas Luiz wasn't and isn't a city academy product, he was signed in 2017 and couldn't play any match because of work permit. Last Felix loan spell at Chelsea he was good enough for them to want to keep him back but he said no, and they considered him good enough to go for him again, so yeah, he's good. First you asked what he achieved in city even though he didn't play a single match, secondly you said he's an academy product, which isn't true. That shows you don't even have the right facts about what you want to talk about sir. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 2:34pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
germaphobe:They calm down I asked what he achieved in epl because aston villa were not in Europe during his time, moreover rice led his team to europa let's remove the trophy, for city I said academy because that where he was dropped before going to loan at girona I didn't even know he didn't play for city, which buttress my point if he was that good work permit can't be the reason for not playing Ofcourse, if odegaard leaves what did he achieve? No trophy, he didn't break any record |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 3:12pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:he helped Aston villa secure their first European football before leaving, that season he was their player of the season too. So yes he achieved something in Epl. He wasn't moved down to city Academy at all, you can check that too. Even Pep lamented about his work permit issue because they were having issues with fernandinho and needed additions and no nothing buttress your point because you clearly don't know how those things work. Records Odegaard have set: only player in the last 3 seasons(since he signed) to have more than 150 key passes, 25 big chances created, 85% pass accuracy, player with the most chances created last season 88, he became the first epl player to complete more than 100 passes(107) in a single match, create at least 5 chance(7) assist multiple goals (2). So yes, Odegaard have broken records. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 3:39pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
germaphobe:Still my point he couldn't get a work permit till he left for Aston Villa and miraculously got one Wait all you listed for odegaard are achievements abi😂, you are creating avenue for me to drag odegaard |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 4:05pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:When u say "drag Odegaard", what does that even mean? That he is not a good player that performs excellently well and has become one of the best midfielder in the league or what? Baba drop all these agenda and appreciate our players when they do well irrespective of what happens to the team as a whole. Odegaard was so good last year that he was in the EPL team of the year. In fact, not just him but 4 players signed by Arteta: Rice, Raya,Gabriel and Odegaard. Let's not forget Saliba though not signed by Arteta has grown into one of the best defenders in the league under his tutelage; he was also in the EPL team of the year. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 4:07pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
😂😂😂😂 Anyways, expect to see Rice at CB tonight. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:13pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:That's what I am saying, odegaard is doing well but as he achieved anything? Absolutely No!!! Lol una wan tag saliba to arteta success again Person that was doing well in France, ebening owns saliba success |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:14pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
daveP:Abi anything can happen, if calafiori play midfield sef I won't be surprised |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 4:16pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:hmmmm..... omor this matter go long but I'm free today. Are you sure you know how football business works aside from just playing on the pitch part of it?. With what you just said about work permit I won't say anything on that again cus clearly you don't understand anything about securing work permit in England, so I will just agree with you that Pep and city paid 10m just to sign luiz and let him rust even when they clearly needed him, and that Pep and Tite were just willing to waste their energy into pleading and applying couple of times for his permit just for fun. Achievements?, you asked the record he broke and I listed them, breaking records isn't an individual achievement?. Abi be crowned London player of the year is also not an achievement, let's not talk about being consecutive player of the year for Arsenal. Well since none of everything I ever listed can be considered an achievement or record breaking stats, then he should just get the fvck out of our club cus he's useless as a captain. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:24pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
germaphobe:Let him win trophies or break assist record There's is a reason no one remembers all Alexis did because he didn't win epl Cesc won't be forgotten because of his assists, th14 and co have top the goals charts You want me to remember odegaard for providing the most key passes I can ask well remember mustafi for being the most mediocre defender then , at least that's an achievement too🤣 My point about Luiz is simple he stayed at city for 2 years and went on loan to girons for same years, if he was good enough he should have gotten at least a start in preseason When I said he was in city academy this is another proof, he was initially signed for u18 https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/10949807/manchester-city-sign-douglas-luiz-from-vasco |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 4:27pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:Can a single player win a trophy all by himself? Why didn't Van Djik win trophies with Southampton like he did with loserpool? All these talks about a player not achieving anything and using it to downplay how good a player is ; that should be something young football fans do not an OG like u. As regards Saliba playing well in France; we all know that any player can look like a superstar in France only for them to flop in the EPL. At least we still remember how Pepe flopped under Good ebening despite looking like Messi in the French Ligue 1. Even if u don't agree Arteta has anything to do with Saliba's outstanding performance under him; at least u agree that the other 4 players who made the EPL team of the year were all Arteta's signing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:35pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:That's why I always come for the coach I don't have any issues with the players, we bottling the league twice was down to the coach but you guys always bring up players to defend him Bros saliba is natural until he flop sha Yes arteta got some other good players but if we look at it critically, the number of misfit he got are more than the good players 😂 |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 4:53pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:Every Arsenal fan who loves this club and watched Alex's will always remember him, maybe except you. Talking about mustafi is just you turning the same amala you always never hesitate to say others are turning when they do what you have been doing since we started this conversation. Another mistake you just made about douglas luiz is saying he didn't play in pre season, where do you even get your facts??. I would love to know seriously. You just confirmed that you truly don't know the details of everything you have been saying from point 1. And where in the article you posted was it said city signed him for u18??......... because clearly it isn't there. Ps: even u18 isn't and can never be clarified as academy. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 4:59pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
germaphobe:How's adding mustafi achievement turning Amala, all I know is achievement is either good or bad Can you bring me proof he play preseason for city? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:02pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:Nobody brings up players to defend him, u are the one who sees saying facts as someone defending him. When the team loses a match due to the coach's inflexibility and poor tactics , there's nothing wrong in pointing it out and blaming him for same. However, when the team loses a match or drops points due to player errors u always want to keep blaming the coach which is unfair. I gave an example of 2023 vs Southampton when we played 3 - 3. In that single match Ramsdale error was responsible for the fastest goal against us while Partey also made another error that led to another goal. The match ended in a draw which nobody hoped for before kickoff, but nobody will open eyes and blame Arteta for the draw except one has an agenda against him. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 5:11pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:Lol Just last week we drew Brighton you said the players let everyone down The match against soton why won't I blame arteta, na me buy the players As pep is struggling he never mentioned players fault instead baba is hurting himself to show he fvcked up Why will I blame players, as Kai is useless the main fault is from the person that approved his signature When pepe was in arsenal, ebening made it clear he never ask for him but zaha I remembered saka losing PK against West Ham that season you also blamed him, without you knowing he was playing with injury, the coach that refused to get a deputy you spared him because you think anyone that blame him is after agenda Well IMO no matter what any of our players do the main blame will always be on the player You went to scummy thread to type instead of amuru to win games he's doing .....so you can blame amuru and not fault arteta DP- dey play 🤣🤣 |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:33pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:U obviously didn’t understand my post u just responded to . I simply said there are instances u can blame the coach when the loss is due to his tactical ineptitude and there are instances when the blame for a loss lies solely with the players . I gave an example of the Southampton match where two different players made errors that cost us two points . You can as well give examples of matches in which Arteta’s inability to tweak his formation either led to a draw or a loss from a wining position . I don’t have a problem with u doing that , but u lumping all the blames on the coach while absolving the players of any fault is what is similar to witchcraft . Yes on man utd thread I wrote about Amuru not winning matches and turning things around for the team despite being signed for that very purpose . Their fans have confirmed how his tactics has been too difficult for the current crop of players to adapt to. That’s on him and it behaves on him to come up with a winning formulation order for them to go back to winning ways just like Arteta did back then. |

germaphobe:I don't wanna believe it was the board or whosoever that brought Havertz......Arteta have a say in it... Ok let assume it wasn't Arteta that brought Havertz, dis season transfer y didn't Arteta bring a natural CF, convert Gabriel Jesu to a winger (He already have the skills to beat a player, just for him to add one or two) And remember last season, Arteta force Havertz to pick form... played him in the midfield which didn't work(everyone saw him last season) and it was part of the reason y we didn't win the league Now dis season Arteta is playing Partey as a right back which made our midfield to look empty and it have cos us many point (I suspect Arteta is trying to force lazy Merino to pick form, d same way he did Havertz) So....I dunno wanna believe his the board that force Artete to sign Havertz If I b Arteta I won't sign Merino... We have Fabio Vieira there Convert Zinchenko to a midfielder( he plays as a midfielder in his country) Odegaard Partey Rice Jorginho Fabio Vieira and Zinchenko (6 midfield) and also remember Lewis Skelly is a natural midfielder making it 7 midfielder Signing Cala wasn't a bad signing but I will use that fund to get an attacker....cos we kept more clean sheet and concede less last season If i b Arteta I will use Cala and Merino fund to add more in our Attack than any other position That's y I suspect the board have refused to release some funds to him but wetin I know 🤷🏾♂️ |

BlueRayDick:That's why I said IMO I won't blame any players no matter how because the coach put him there Shebi he did well by selling ramsdale, abi raya too don't commit errors I don't blame players, the reason I cussed Kai is because I am tired of seeing him and I will continue to hold arteta responsibile for it You can say I don't praise him for winning, well that's his job na To win not bottle |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 5:45pm On Jan 22, 2025 |
Ceenachi:PS: This is not me defending Arteta o , but following the logic in the bolded , Arsenal scored the 91 league goals last season ; the most in our history in the EPL . Perhaps that’s why he didn’t sign a striker and felt he should secure that Zinchencko’s wing that leaked goals last season . |

Ceenachi:I choose to disagree with you on this. Loosing to Aston villa was the reason we didn't win the league in late the run in with city period. And the signing of kai is on Arteta and the board(whoever gets the credit for his signing no concern me again, na arsenal player now). And did you skip the part where I said his late blue blue magic of goals last season gave not just Arteta hope but me tol(I will admit that). Partey playing right back is because he's the only one in the squad who can maybe deputise for the injury players, when everyone is ok partey no dey play rb nau. We kept for CS doesn't eliminate the fact that the lb position was leaking steadily and needed an improvement. Stay blessed bro, we all want to see Arsenal win. Ps: Arteta no be my papa |

If you really need prove go and make the research yourself, I don't need to prove anything to you, not when I have realised that you clearly don't know as much as you think you do know about what I have been saying all along. Stay blessed. |
