jmoore:God has helped me to save quite a number of people. The first was a toddler (a little grown baby) named sunny back in school. He suffocated because the mother force fed him. She ran outside holding the dangling baby up in her hands screaming, people gathered and while most where just looking, some elderly ones where just passing the baby among themselves screaming. I rushed down from my room upstairs and saw the confusion and chaos. The baby was turning green already. I shouted at the person holding the baby and just runnng around crying at that point, collected it and place it on my laps then I started CPR with just two fingers. Everybody gathered around me. People in that situation mostly do not do anything either because they don’t know what to do or they are not courageous. I persisted with the CPR for about 15 minutes with no sign of life in the baby. His pupils had gone inside. But after 15mins I saw that he opened his mouth like somebody gaping. I wasn’t sure what to make of it, if it’s just my pressing of the chest that caused air in his chest to open the mouth or it was him opening his mouth himself to take in air because the throat has cleared a bit? I by faith took the action to mean the latter and was encouraged to persist. After around 10mins minutes, his pupils returned. I at that point knew I have revived him. I persisted though while I gave instruction to the tens of people now gathered to find transportation to take him to the hospital now. Everybody then started looking at me like I am some Superman. The mother too was just hapless and looked on. Moreover, one sweet girl that we have been eyeing ourselves was there. She was smiling, I imagined she was very impressed and pleased. They then took the boy to the hospital. The stupid father came and as typical with some useless African men wanted to assault the mother of the child at the hospital blaming her. The nurses at the hospital told them to thank me that if they had brought the child straight to the hospital without my intervention they would have brought him in dead. The child most be about 12years - 15years now. His name is Sunny. That was one in like 3 that I remember. The next two are serious accident victims. And I administered CPR too. The last one is John and it happened at night in Lekki axis. Police brought there trucks and zoomed off after they saw his condition without assisting. I later had to carry him with my car to the hospital. I stayed there till around 5am the next morning as the doctors said I can’t leave until the family came. He was unconscious for days. After like a week he called me and I heard his voice on phone. It was a feeling I can’t describe. This happened early last year. What I know about most Nigerians is that we are hugely ignorant… we are just loud. Our education is not rich and deep. I on all cases had to shout at people before I wrestle the victim away from them.. most will just be shouting and some will be doing things that may even harm the child. In the case of Sunny, after he started giving sign of life, Devil wanted to use my landlady. She brought olive oil and asked that we give him to drink. The way I shouted on her Ehn… she just staggered back with fear. The oil would have caused the pap in the throat to congeal and suffocate him finally. I am not a medical practitioner but I read everything and anything vociferously and don’t have one strand of superstition in me. I may meet sunny one day, however, I am sure the parents will tell him about me. I gave him back his life with the help of God |

Was walking by Zuma rock in 2016. A Honda element sped by. I saw how it drove by and my eyes was fixed on it. Shortly, like 100m away, I saw it somersault couple of times. It was about 10am. I rushed down and saw 2 people inside. I was surprised that the airbag did not explode. Anyways, I called for help but no one showed. So, I struggled and pulled them out. Story made short, I took them to hospital at mobile (madalla junction). The driver didn't make it but the passenger (owner) survived. The man called me later but I was in Lagos then. He summoned me to come to minna. Obey! When I got to his house, I was met with crowd. The man was a very rich retired General with two of his children as DSS and an army. They gave me a good treat with overwhelming accolade. Thereafter, he gave me a Honda civic one door. That was the first car I owned. I was in tears because I never expected anything. Till date we keep in touch. |

Mine was many years ago when we traveled back to the village with our mom to spend the holiday with our grand mom. Usually when it's Christmas 90% of my maternal family returns back home to spend the holiday together with granny. We were very little and my younger brother was about 7-10years old. It happened that while the family was processing cassava to garri, we the children were just playing around them. My mom was frying garri inside the kitchen with her siblings gisting, I was one side playing with my new radio, suddenly I saw my younger brother climbing one of the old collapsed kitchen. I noticed he wanted to fall but quickly held a naked wire. The wire was just shaking him so I rush to my and shouted. My mom rushout from the kitchen dragged out dried fire wood and flogged his hand from the wire. My brother almost died. But after small treatment he became strong again. Now it's thesame boy that almost died of electrocution that is the richest among all my siblings both in my paternal and maternal family. God will preserve any one with special destiny. |

I was saved by a snake. That particular day a customer called me by 7pm to come fix some interior decor in his apartment. I guess I finished by 8 or to 9pm , can't remember. In the excitement of having finished the job and being well compensated for job well done, I was coming out of his building, just outside the fence and in the faint lightening of the moonlight, I heard a vicious hissing of a snake. I looked down and saw a very big black snake. It stop a for a while and stared at me for a while then continue crossing the road majestically with full confidence. My understanding of what happened was the snake understood that I didn't see it initially and if I had taken a step forward( because I was on full speed trying to get home), I would have been in it's orbit of influence at the moment and it would have struck , which I wouldn't stand a chance. Cos its dark, there's no one around and it was packing. The snake also understood that there's no need for confrontation and it won't be a fair fight. And probably, I'm just trying to get home. So it sounded a fair warning, watched me freeze and saved my life |

There was this time around last year, I was just outside my workplace and there’s this woman that sells bole and fish along the road. It’s been pouring all day and at that evening it was just a drizzling rain and I was about to head back inside cause it was very late and this woman always loves me around time like that cause she was always very scared of the night. She was just about packing up her left goods and me getting ready to head back inside cause I was working night duty. Lo and behold, I heard a vehicle ram into a body. This woman selling ran away as fast as she could and started screaming at the top of her scared shocked voice, a mini bus had just crashed into a girl late into her teens. Everyone started dispersing shouting she was dead and that in no way would she survive it. I had to man up and help her out of the drainage she was hit into. It was a horrible hit and run. While struggling to pick her out of this water-filled ditch no one came up to help me but alas one girl from the hostel just right around came to help and her friend joined. As I laid her back flat on the road first thing I did was to check if she was still breathing, (never stopped imagining how dumb me could stay composed and not panic) and well she was and it appears she only had a massive cut right below her right elbow, well maybe a one or two broken bones but only the cut was visible. The two girl that came to help called a keke and was taken to the a small clinic that was closest which was the clinic of those girls college. I kept telling her to keep her eyes open regardless of how hard it can be for her which she did (cause me nor want make pesin pikin kpai for my hand o 😂). We made it there and wow Nigeria is f***ed. The only thing they could do was talk and give her a shot of painkillers. The girls that helped me paid for her admission card and called her parent from her phone which she struggled to open from her pattern lock and luckily her dad’s got a keke as well. She was later taken to Uniben and she survived and we still see till this day and she always thank me everyday. I was just happy I was there to help and it didn’t went south on me.I can never forget that day, my shirt was dripped in human blood, I saw a human bone fresh with flesh hanging from it. I almost threw up bro. Horrible graphic sight. We are nothing just an animal with a soul thats all we are! |

This happened in the year 2014. I was taking a walk down my street to go get something for breakfast. There was this kid, about 2 years old that loves greeting me whenever I pass. He came out to greet me as usual. I played with him for a while and continued my waka. About 20 steps away, I heard the faintest sound of something dropping inside water. If I wasn't attentive enough, I wouldn't have heard it. I turned and looked back but saw nothing. There's this deep gutter the landlord of where the baby lived dug to prevent motorcycle from passing through. I listened further for more convincing evidence to go back but I wasn't getting any. I just decided to go check to avoid regrets. Lo and behold the baby was inside the water , completely covered and not moving. Nobody was insight , of which if I hadn't gone back nobody would have noticed the incident. I jumped inside the gutter without a second thought and pulled the baby out. I screamed, calling out for the baby's parents to come out. The baby regained consciousness after water gushed out of his mouth. Till today ,I thank God every time I remember this incident that I listened to myself to go back. |

Me and my friend helped our other friends sister who needs to deliver some goods to Ibadan before day break and it was already 10pm in the night. Meanwhile it was late in the year around the end of dec. I don't know what got into me that made me go on that risky journey. When we were going we had a very smooth journey so there was no ishh. The driver that carried us has to be somewhere in the morning so we had to return to Lagos that same day It was around 2am we started our journey back, me and my friend we started feeling sleepy so we left the front sit and went to lie down at the back, the bus was this 18 seater traveling bus. Omo he never reach 30 minutes to the journey, i was fast asleep I noticed that I wasn't balance and the car was swaying Omo my friends was already awake with us eyes wide open, he said the driver was dozing off while on road and we almost ran into a car Omo sleep Comot for my eyes sharp sharp, my friend had to go and sit at the front back and started playing music so the driver could not doze again, Omo this said day wasn't easy at all the way dear gripped me |

Years back, i was going to Abuja from Delta via train. because d train was overbooked, some passengers had to stand while the earlier ones sit. So one dude came Onboard and found one man(d man paid for standing ticket)sitting on his paid sit. So he told the man politely and asked him to leave. D man, well built and looking dreadful knew he could oppress d man because he(d original sit owner) was short and looking emaciated. So he refused to stand up and even slapped d man unprovoked for asking him to stand up... D guy just stood there because he knew no one was willing to support him. As i be tatafo from over 10sit away at the opposit lane, i vex stand up and shout to the man to leave d sit or i will drag him out... other passengers saw me speaking out and joined d voice... D voice was loud and other men and women stood up to attack the Wicked man, d man jejely stood up and apologised and left... I am not a story teller, i hope d message was communicated fairly. D point is, i learnt something that day. I saved one man because i had the sense of morality that most people lack. I didn't save d man from death, i saved the man's pride. I stood for him and anchored a revolution that encouraged others to stand against oppression. |

![]() Yep... My dad's heroic move on my elder brother..... several years back. My brother was seriously ill and was walking into the room with my dad behind when suddenly, he slumped. My dad caught him but what followed was my brother bleeding heavily from his mouth. My dad reached for a spoon quickly to keep his mouth open. Luckily, neighbours were around to help. And there I was, helpless, watching the whole drama. Thankfully, he was temporarily stable but had to be rushed quickly to hospital. My heart was in my mouth and till they left and returned, I didn't utter a word. I'd never seen anything like that in my life..... only in movies..... While my mum and everyone was praying when my dad left with some neighbours, to answer 'Amen' sef hard me. But when news came that he was stable, I felt a little relaxed. God really did it!!! |

I wasn't the one that witnessed it my elder sis did and I wouldn't say it a bravey but coincidence. Like 15 years back. After a heavy downpour a big ditch of water gathered on the middle of a road close to a school. Immediately school closed my sis who was a teacher then and most of the students were in a hurry to get home, all of a sudden a dog ran out from a nearby compound and was happily running ahead of the students towards the water. Immediately he got into the water he was suspended on air and was electrocuted Everyone ran away. It was later discovered that during the downpour an electric cable fell into the ditch with current. If not that that dog ran into the water first all the school children and my sis that wanted to cross wouldn't have made it. |
