I've never really liked this Vlahovic and wasn't looking forward to us signing him.

I'd rather we sign Osimhen as our CF now that he's currently available.

I’m not interested in all these Wirtz and Zubi talk , I just want us to sign a striker and right winger . Any other signing na waste of resources .

I choose to disagree with you on this. Loosing to Aston villa was the reason we didn't win the league in late the run in with city period.
And the signing of kai is on Arteta and the board(whoever gets the credit for his signing no concern me again, na arsenal player now). And did you skip the part where I said his late blue blue magic of goals last season gave not just Arteta hope but me tol(I will admit that).
Partey playing right back is because he's the only one in the squad who can maybe deputise for the injury players, when everyone is ok partey no dey play rb nau.
We kept for CS doesn't eliminate the fact that the lb position was leaking steadily and needed an improvement. Stay blessed bro, we all want to see Arsenal win.
Ps: Arteta no be my papa
Lemme put mouth for dis....

You saying lossing against Aston villa was the reason we didn't win the league 😂😂
How🤷🏾‍♂️
Let assume we didn't lose against Fulham, Newcastle or west ham... losing to Aston villa won't stop us for winning the league

Or d u forget when Arteta was still doing his experiment with Havertz in our midfield
I beg your pardon... losing against villa didn't stop us for winning the league but other matches cost us when Arteta was romancing Havertz

You saying Partey is the only option to play at the right back but you forget something.... playing Partey at the RB is not the issue but look at our midfield...and it have cost us alot of point

What is the gain of Playing Partey as RB but keep exposing your Midfield 🤷🏾‍♂️
Arteta did it more than 5-7 matches and we won only 1
By now he would have stopped that nonsense experiment but what d I know 🤷🏾‍♂️

Bro make una try dey understand us before una quote us. I said loosing to Aston villa "in the late run in with city" made us loose the epl, and that's true. Regardless of the other matches we dropped poibts, the game and epl was still in our hands till we lost to Aston and City took over. If we didn't loose that match and had won, do you think city would have topped us with 1 point?. huhhuhhuhhuhhuh??......
I don't know about others, but if I'm the coach and with the injury crisis we've had at the RB position and the additional bodies in midfield, I will choose partey to play rb because he have played there before and have the experience. Yes he will cost us some games playing rb(as he have done couple of times), but I will still choose him ahead of any other name you will mention. And please if partey isn't playing rb with white, tomi and timber out, kindly recommend a player that should fill In there so as to allow partey play his preferred and natural position.

You still no get my point...
Arteta force Havertz to pick a form which cost us to lose some vital points against the smaller team
I still remember when Arteta drop Partey for beach just to romance Havertz and it didn't work for several matches....if Arteta didn't romance Havertz... lossing to Aston villa won't b a big issue but you guys see it was Aston villa that cost us the league forgetting Arteta romance Havertz for so long

Concerning Partey....
If you're the coach...
You will continue playing Partey as RB and continue dropping points
Nice one 🙌🏾🙌🏾😂😂
But does it make sense to you...

Timber have play LB, CB and RB and it work
Lewis is a MD and he's playing LB currently
Tomiyasu have play RB and LB
Ben white is a CB and DM but he's playing RB currently
Y can't Arteta use Zinchenko, Tierney or Lewis as a RB since he love experiment 🤷🏾‍♂️

I rest my case ✌🏾

Ps: there's no "you guys" in my Aston villa line of thought and comment, it's just me and me alone. We played 17 matches and only lost 1, so yeah the other losses I don't really count them cus even our biggest opps lost matches and points then too, where the pain comes was lossing when they didn't and till tomorrow if you carry go God front, I go still talk am say, "loosing to Aston villa during the late run in for the tittle with city was where we bottled the league". Thank you.

Pissed keh?

It's no secret that Brazilians are mostly better footballers compared to Africans na. So many talents have been unearthed from that country in the past. If he gets very good defenders from Brazil and they deliver I have no issues with that honestly. Just juxtapose the number of Africans that have won Ballon D'or/WPOTY with that of Brazil and u will see that he's not wrong prioritizing Brazilians over Africans.

In fact let's not go far, look at players like Gabriel who is a Brazilian; see how well he plays for us. How many African CB's play as spirited and talented as he is in the EPL for a top club?

Don't also forget that African players can be a pain in the arse for any coach particularly in January of an AFCON year when they will go for the competition at a time when the EPL is getting interesting and u need all hands to be on deck. We have fallen victim of this as a club in the past.

Did you just spit down on African talents to justify Brazilians? Like seriouslyhuh

Abeg forget that Afcon excuse. It's not enough reason to ever justify what Edu did. Never. The Brazilians he focused on las las, how many don arrive do anything unique like the Chilean, Sanchez? Many Africans are balling. Many European and Asians dey too. South Americans talented than Brazilians dey too. That was too low for such a position to do. Tomorrow, if we get one that suddenly prioritize Africans, it will still be wrong.

I can't believe you wrote a whole paragraph to justify this.

I gave u two examples of 2 Brazilians currently in our team who are actually doing well. I didn't just write without facts; I gave u reasons why Edu's decision is not bad and gave u example of such players he has brought-in who have gone on to be successful and importatnt players to our team.

Aside that we see Brazilian players generally doing well playing for European clubs which is the reason why u see them winning more world cups than other countries and also doing well in Ballon D'or/WPOTY history.

Now answer the question: How many Africans have achieved that much? Do u even know bad it is that a single nation like Brazil is doing better than the whole African continent with over 50 countries?

What u call spitting down on African talent is me saying the truth the way it is. Football is more of serious business than emotions. Emotions will not get u anywhere; In the past when we had African players they were always leaving at the crucial stage of the league to represent their team in AFCON due to the awkward timing of the competition.

I don't care if the 2 in the team are currently good or bad or out of form. What i care about is that potentially, oga focused on 6 Brazilians out of every 10 prospects to scout and recommend. 6/10.

6!!

Don't shift the focus to the "oh Brazilians do well than Africans" pov pls. This is not just Africans issue. Other nationals are there too. There are many talents that are better than many in that Brazilian national team currently, not to talk of others.

I'm not here to denounce their talents. Im here to say 6/10 being from one country is highly sentimental and senseless.

Swap nationals and see how outrageous that will be. If he even did 6/10 for Africans, I'll personally criticize that kind of move too. Cos it doesn't make sense. But for now, since he's attached directly, that was a sentimental move for a club that needs several national that deserve a look in.

Emotion is exactly what Edu did. Simple!! So why aren't we looking at Germans since they have World cup glory too? You can't justify this act. This current Brazil team that many are saying standard is low?

It will be totally unfair to try act like we don't even have Africans doing exceptionally well and even better in their roles and are good for any top team in England or Spain right now. Not to talk of other South Americans.

Awkward timing one side. Talented enough to be looked at another side.

Edu overreached.

U are asking the wrong questions and getting unnecessarily emotional because u are an African. How can u say u don't care 2 Brazilians are doing excellently well in the team , then u are saying Edu focusing on recruiting more players from the country is senseless.

You are doing exactly what u are accusing Edu of doing. Edu's decisions are justifiable as per the success rate they've had with players coming from the country fitting into our team. History has also favored players of Brazilian descent.

Talking about this being unfair to Africans, football is business . Nobody owes Africans anything; when Sir Alex Ferguson chose to avoid the AFCON brouhaha by not signing Africans into his team, wasn't he winning trophies back to back?

I don't fault Edu at all and I will do the same thing if I was in his shoes.

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on what he looks for in a striker, besides the data: "A player can score a lot of goals, great. But I want to know how he reacts if he has a period of 6/7 games without scoring. That's what interests me."

" Watch an interview with a player who hasn't scored for 6 games. Who did he score against, in what context, in the first or second half, only with his right or also with his left and his head, only when the space is open? "

"Does he like contact and is he ready for the physical challenge of this league? This is very important, this is essential information when you consider the time you are going to spend with a player."
