The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced plans to construct 10,000 housing units under the Renewed Hope Medic Cities initiative to address the housing needs of medical workers nationwide.

The project is designed to provide decent and affordable housing for the country’s medical workers as part of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The administration is currently building 10,112 units across 14 locations in the country under the Renewed Hope Housing Agenda

The Renewed Hope Medic Cities project would be achieved through collaboration between the Ministries of Housing and Health, the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, REDAN, and public-private partnerships and is expected to commence between January and February.

The renewed hope estate I went to see if I can buy a house from is out of reach of almost all the civil servant yet they called it a govt project.

This govt is just deceiving people...how can carcass 3bedroom flat be going for 49million when u will need about 10 to 15million to furnish it to taste.

These medical personnels would be shocked las Las.

90% of the so called medical professionals' house will be stolen and hijacked by APC political thugs and government stooges, at the end, less than 10% of the house will belong to real medical professionals like Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Lab Scientists, etc.

Even the few that will be given to real medical professionals will still be shared among mostly Yoruba medical professionals loyal to APC.

By every sense, Nurses even play more role than Doctors in hospitals, if I am not mistaken.


We must recognize all medical professionals in Nigeria, starting from Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Lab Scientists, Radiographers, Dieticians, etc because they all work in tandem to deliver quality healthcare to the populace, so exalting only Doctors always while ignoring others is part of why our healthcare sector isn't getting closer to what we have abroad

Anytime I see or hear this kinds of projects that we should be applauding and I want to say welldone to the FG my common sense will immediately remind me of they type of people running Nigerian government. Greedy and corrupt folks,these just usually means to syphon public money where either the project will take ten years to complete while gulping billions of dollars or it is just audio or it is never even completed but funds keep getting allocated to it

I’m not downgrading any healthcare personnel but you have to be honest where applicable. It's the doc that brings all the other hcp into play. A patient can come to the hospital and never interphase with the lab scientist, or the pharmacist, or the nurse, but he'll interphase with the doc
