Once dey bring up that 5000 fee I let them know upfront that they should stay where they are ( because they say the money is for travel etc ) and I will go by myself, just tell the gateman to show it to me. You have to understand that the house owners never give the agents the house keys. The house keys is always with the gateman of the house. So just collect the address and tell him if you like it and rent it then you can give him whatever . This is how you separate serious agents from fraudsters

I don't need to jam mad agent. If he is mad I hang up and go to next agent. They are like 1 million on that Nigerian property center website. And I never have to see them at all. The last place I rented let me tell you how it went. Found the property on Nigerian property center. Called the agent. He started saying he will come and meet me there and to pay him 5000. I told him stay where you are just give me address I will go myself and I don't need to pay you 5000 . We go back and forth. The man no gree, he hang up. 10 minutes later he called back and gave me the address and gatemans number. I went to the place, I liked it, called the agent and then he called the woman. Did the paperwork and paid the woman and paid the agents ten percent inside his account. Till today the guy still calls me to check on me. I think he respected how smooth the process went.
