Nigeria’s leading commercial bank, Sterling Bank Limited, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to address a series of fraudulent and malicious schemes of Miden Systems Ltd and its director, Dr. Brendan Innocent Usoro, who has resorted to using the National Assembly and the Police Force CID to harass the Bank in a blatant bid to defy and evade compliance with a binding court-ordered debt settlement.https://independent.ng/sterling-bank-condemns-exploitation-of-national-assembly-police-force-cid/

The way things are going in Nigeria, house of assembly will soon legalise fraud with a clause of '' Don't get caught" because every sector is filled with fraudsters and racketeers. ![]() |

IMPARTIAL:Why are you Nigerians wicked? I am sure you owe several loan apps as you dey so. What is unprofessional about the bank complaining of harassments of its officials? A company refuses to fulfill its obligations and is using National assembly to intimate the bank. Is that okay to you? We keep complaining of Nigerian banks not supporting businesses. When they support businesses, they don't wanna pay back and yet mumu masses will be happy. Just like the case of Nduka the national debtor and First Bank. It is not in anyone's interest if banks collapse like the Pre-Soludo era. We need our commercial banks to be strong and resilient so the entire financial system and economy can be stable. You and I will be affected one way or the other should anything untold happen to any bank, Fintech or any other genuine business entity. |

Can’t make head or tail of this report. They waisted too much words and said absolutely nothing. For instance, what exactly did Force CID and NASS do? |

nairalanda1:Goes to the police, bribes some commissioner or top level officer who directs officers under him to intimidate their creditor. They are even lucky he doesn't seem to have connections to the judiciary or that of Sterling superceded his,if not,one corrupt judge would have issued a corrupt order barring Sterling from tampering with his funds in any bank. They will continue delaying till he has illegally laundered the money or diverted it to accounts of families or friends. It's good it's happening to a big corporate institution for them to also witness the pain of Nigerian politicians or big shots using all manner of illegal tactics, even criminal,to avoid paying their debts or obligations. |

Sterling Bank deserve what ever they are getting . They harassed us over a loan my company didn’t take and turn my business upside down We took them to Onitsha court and they bribed their way out. Exactly what their manager said would happen We are taking the case to Awka even though I’m not expecting anything from Nigeria judiciary especially the one in Anambra state . The only thing you need in Nigeria is money . Justice is for sell here |
