Not a law student ... do I have to be one before you can explain? For the very reason you didn't explain is why the law does not take innuendos into consideration and non verbal communication is not stronger than verbal communication in a court of law. For example ... non verbal ...if I look at you and slide my hand across my throat ... what does it mean? Out of court it is a threat ...that I will kill you/have you killed ... a death message. I cannot be charged for threatening your life. We go to court and I say something stuck in my throat and I was trying to clear it by rubbing my throat. Then what? On the other hand ...verbal ...if told you I'll kill you ... that's a threat and I can be charged and convicted. Court deals with the law and evidence....not assumptions without convincing circumstantial evidence. I hope this is enough for you to consider me a common man who can understand innuendos. I am looking forward for you to now explain why he can be sued for defamation.
