How Our Actions Can Affect Our Prayers by Obesity(op): 10:54am On Jan 26, 2025
Let me remind you: a prayer can become a curse if your heart is filled with ill intentions towards others. If you seek to bring others down or cause them pain, any prayer you make for your own rise will be empty or even harmful. A prayer is meant to connect you to the divine, but it reflects the weight of your true intentions. If you harbor negativity, hatred, envy, or malice, those prayers will turn back on you.

You cannot seek peace while contributing to conflict or causing suffering. It’s a contradiction. If you hurt others, lie about them, or speak evil against them, their pain will cry out to God, just like Abel’s blood did. The wrong you do will have consequences, even in your prayers. Your actions, seen or unseen, will influence the prayers you make. True peace comes from within, & it requires you to support others, not bring them down.
NOTE Asking God for forgiveness is important, but it isn’t complete unless you’ve sought forgiveness from the people you’ve hurt. Imagine this: you ask God for forgiveness while the person you hurt is crying out to God, still feeling the pain you caused.

Do you think God will hear only you and show you mercy when you refused to seek mercy from the one you offended? If you’ve lied against someone or caused pain, be careful, or your prayers may become a curse.
