Him also as a citizen can drag you to court to proof it if he so wishes. It will be left for the court to decide between the two of you who is right.

Enice:
I as a citizen don't need proof to call him a terrorist because I have knowledge of what he did.

For your information, before anyone is given a tag of terrorist, the government must have proscribed and gazetted the organisation that person belongs to. Once that is done, anyone belonging to that organisation is a terrorist.
IPOB has been proscribed by the government and gazetted as a terrorist group. MNK belongs to IPOB, therefore MNK is a terrorist. Simple as ABC

The link you provided is evidence you knows nothing about struggle for self determination. So any iddiot can come out and demand no referendum no election in a sovereign nation like Nigeria?
Is ipob a political party? Are they stakeholders in Nigeria election to warrant them to call for boycott?
Only political parties can call for boycott of an election not a proscribed group like ipob who never participated in any election any wonder their so called call for election boycott always flop.
You that's the 'authority' on struggle for self-determination, how about you show us how it's done by doing going out to do it the 'right way'? Or you own is just to sit in the relative comfort and safety of your home to criticise the efforts of those brave and proactive enough to go out there and face a malevolent and ruthless hegemony hellbent on protecting their entrenched hegemonic interests at any cost?

At the time IPOB called for said election boycott, even i joined in the call for them to rescind their demand, and eventually they capitulated and bowed to the pressure put on them by many Igbo stakeholders and commentators alike (see the link below).

I added the links in my previous post to show you IPOB on many occassions have made the call for a referendum, and it comes as no surprise that the Buhari and Tinubu gov'ts have ignored not just the referendum call, but have equally REFUSED to engage with IPOB on any other issue or at any level! This APC gov't s cannot pretend not to know of the existence of a secessionist organisation called IPOB and can't pretend not to know what their grievances are, as the same Nigerian state has carried out cold-blooded murder against those they see as being linked to the organisation....they equally took the brazen step of contravening international extradition laws to kidnap the IPOB leader from Kenya! Fact of the matter is, the Buhari and Tinubu gov'ts have ZERO intention and ZERO interest in engaging with IPOB in any way, and their position stands in stark contrast to how the last PDP gov'ts engaged with another set of gun-wielding agitators, the Niger-Delta militants, and how this engagement brought relative peace to the region. As shown in my last post, even the effort made by the south-east governors to act as a interlocutor between IPOB and the federal gov't was rebuffed by Buhari, and i can only assume they (the APC gov't) see the Igbo as '2nd class citizens' and it would be beneath them to be seen engaging with such 'lowly serfs'!

Guy you still do not get it,you are just good at writing long epistle without much value.
The question is...Is ipob following due process in demanding for referendum?
Do they have the mandate to ask for referendun or speak on behalf the people of old Eastern region?
Do ipob realise that referendum is not even in Nigeria constitution?
Give me simple answers to my question and make it as brief as possible.

Dude, it’s you that doesn’t get it, and from the looks of things probably never will! Or maybe you DO get it, and are just acting dumb owing to your anti-Igbo/‘one-Nigeria’ agenda on this forum!

I don’t know why some of you moan about ‘epistle’ over just a few lines! You talk as if you never saw the four walls of a university classroom, and so find rigorous and robust debates tiresome!

You pose the usual diversionary, redundant and inapplicable questions that have little or nothing to do with the issue at hand! Dude, by the very nature and purpose of any secessionist organisation, they’re not part of the status-quo…not part of the establishment, and so cannot seek relief of their grievances and demands under any ‘due process’ thrown up by the very same structure they seek to upturn! Even a kindergarten kid would appreciate this!

Pray tell, under what ‘due process’ were the Niger-Delta militants engaged with by the gov’t of the day, and are still being engaged with by subsequent gov’ts even to the point of some of their leaders being given multi-billion naira contracts!? Pray, did the populace of the Niger-Delta give said militants their ‘mandate’ before the federal gov’t engaged with them!? An engagement of which subsequently led to relative peace in the region!

Another example of individuals or groups that acted without the so called ‘mandate of the people’ were the military! Whose mandate did they seek before seizing power and effecting changes to the structure of the country and policies of gov’t….changes which were adopted and are still in effect to this day!?

You talk of mandate as if the average discerning Nigerian doesn’t know the dubious nature of mandates in your country! Heck, even your Tinubu claims to have a ‘mandate’….and a host of ‘certificates’ to boot, so what are we talking about here!?

‘IPOB don’t have the mandate of the people of Eastern Nigeria’ as you posit, so on what basis did the south-east governors engage with the groups leader few years ago!?

In one breath you accuse IPOB of ‘not following due process’, or whatever you term it…..and in another breath you talk of referendum not being in your Fulani/military constitution of Nigeria! You see how your arguments are all over the place and incoherent!?

Your evil hegemonic gov’t would much rather send their murderous soldiers to the east to kill and intimidate innocent agitators and others, then turn around and claim and feign ignorance about what IPOB is agitating for!

You’re yet to tell us of at least TWO ‘terrorist’ attacks carried out by IPOB before they were tagged as such….attacks which they proudly claimed with their full chest as terrorist organisations usually do! Tell us, since you choose to go along with the lie the Buhari gov’t put out there that IPOB are ‘terrorists’!

Secessionist movement are not always ragtags and outlaws like ipob, for example there are separatist political parties in Scotland,Northern Ireland,Catalonia Spain etc...who are the ruling parties in their regional government these are legitimate elected leadership of the people who have the mandate from the people to champion independent struggle for them. I.POB in this case is an illegitimate proscribed group. They should join politics take over SE region through democratic means then they can legally speak for the people.
Even Hamas and Hezbollah realised this and joined politics that is how Hamas took over Gaza from PLO.

The problem with you is that you are comparing banditry and militancy with separatism.
While one was fighting for a better treatment or recongnition from federal government the other is fighting for distintegration of Nigeria.
How are they the same? In international law and in accordance with UN charter you must be politically in control of the territory in question before you can legally demand for referendum.Does ipob meet this criteria?

You referring to secessionist groups and efforts in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Spain as examples of what IPOB should emulate is both disingenuous and laughable at the same time! Dude, i can tell you for free that had the secessionist efforts in the aforementioned countries been faced with the kind of savage, murderous and vindictive Nigerian hegemonic group IPOB is up against, they all wouldn’t have had the opportunity to form political parties to champion their cause in parliament! By now, all three would be tagged ‘terrorists’ with their members hunted down either for elimination or incarceration!

Besides, the situation is a bit more nuanced than the black or white you’re trying to make it out to be! The groups in Spain and Ireland have been labelled terrorists in the past, and there are actual terrorist acts we can link to them, which they have taken responsibility for as terrorist groups normally do! The one of Scotland are not seen as terrorists, but the common denominator that links all three is that they’ve all engaged with their respective federal gov’ts at one point or another, and all are presently in gov’t in their respective regions!

Coming back to Nigeria, are you seriously suggesting that the same IPOB your federal gov’t has hunted down, murdered its members, and refused to engage with, will now be given the freedom to walk into INEC headquarters, register a political party with the stated aim of seceding from Nigeria, and INEC will shake their hands warmly and promptly register them as a political party!? You really think the Yoruba/Fulani hegemonic alliance will sit by and watch proceedings play out, then allow IPOB sweep the polls in the next elections in region and solidify their plans for their secession!? If you think the above scenario would be allowed to play out in Nigeria as it has done to varying degrees in the three countries you mentioned, then you’re a poor student of Nigerian history and politics!

I would also like to add that no ethic group since independence in 1960 has practiced and lived ‘one Nigeria’ more than the Igbo! All Igbo and neutral observers will agree to this….as well as a few honest Yoruba and Fulani too! There would have been no talk of secession of Biafra or Ndigbo from Nigeria had the country been a fair and just society where no component part is seen as ‘conquered 2nd class citizens’, and where all component parts are allowed to use their own human and natural resources to develop at their own pace! I can tell you for free that had Ndigbo/Biafra had the same regional autonomy and control of their resources like the groups in Scotland and Spain presently have, there would have been no MASSOB or IPOB today talking of secession! Secession is a last resort and signals that the party attempting to secede has lost all faith in the capacity or desire of the central gov’t to be fair and equitable to all component parts!

My referring to the Niger-Delta militants earlier was to point out to you that in fact your federal gov’t can engage with those they see as ‘terrorists’ or ‘outlaws’….that’s a gov’t interested in peace and justice!

I f you think democratic process is not possible the other option left is either Guerrilla warfare or conventional war like in the case of Biafra war of which ipob is bound to lose at huge cost to ndi Igbo.I can bet you that ndi Igbo are not willing or interested to fight another unnecessary and unwinnable war.
So long as political leadership in Igboland are pro extablishment ipob is toiling in vain and very soon they wİll become history like MASSOB.I pity whoever believes that ipob is capable of achieving anything meaningful.
Democratic option still remains the best option.Ndi Igbo can demand for regional autonomy which will not be seen as treason and can take it from there. You can't just out of nowhere and start demanding for separate nation you must start from somewhere.

Struggle for self determination should be led by intellectuals,it should never be left in the hands of thugs, illiterates undesirable criminals like this guy in this picture called Gentle the Yahoo who was recruited by Nnamdi Kanu later become the commander of Autopilot BLA.

I don’t know where some of you get this faith in the Nigerian political and governance process to put right all the injustice, marginalisation and outright sabotage Ndigbo have suffered at the hands of mainly the Yoruba/Fulani hegemonic alliance from the late 60s to date! We have been practicing this same ‘Nigerian democrazy’ for the most part since 1970, and we’ve had a uninterrupted run of it from 1999 to date, yet not only have our fortunes not changed, but they’ve gotten worse…not just for Ndigbo but EVERY other ethnicity as well! The only group that will love your ‘solution’ of effecting change through the Nigerian political and governance process are the ruling political, entrepreneurial and chieftaincy elite and their acolytes, minions, thugs and hangers-on….of which can be found in EVERY ethnicity, including Ndigbo! They love your ‘solution’ because they know that since they control its instruments, the status-quo is safe!

Forget all the posturing, hot air and dogo turenchi over topics like ‘regionalism, resource control and true fiscal federalism, state or regional policing, etc’! Expecting the present greedy, selfish, materialistic, lazy and tribalistic ruling hegemonic class to oversee a process that will enthrone the aforementioned desired changes is akin to expecting them to sign their own death warrant and choose between hanging or getting riddled with bullets! There’s a reason why they fear the likes of Mazi Kanu, Sowore, and any other person who holds their feet to the fire and talks of different or alternative approaches to achieving the desired change! If you’ve not been harassed, threatened or locked up, by especially this present APC demonic gov’t, then just know they’re comfortable with your presence and that you’re not seen as a threat to the establishment and status-quo!

I don’t think you’ll find any group or ethnicity who are ‘interested’ in fighting a war, but there sure as hell are groups or ethnicities willing to fight a war to prevent themselves from being exterminated in a pogrom or ethnic cleansing! You don’t keep on pushing a people to the wall, cheating them of their resources, cheating them of political and economic opportunities, and derisively calling them ‘dot in a circle’, then say ‘oh they’re not interested in war or willing to fight a war so we can go ahead and continue maltreating them’!

I would be the first to admit i don’t have the bravery and awareness of issues to lead a secessionist movement like Mazi Kanu has and is doing! The least i can do is support him in his efforts! Any Igbo who thinks their future generations would be safe in Nigeria and treated as equals with love and respect by their present hegemonic traducers…such Igbo is one naive person who deserves all the misfortune and ill-treatment they get!

I place the ‘gentle’ bastard in the same basket i place the likes of ekpa, chinasa nworu, DOS, auto pilots, and all the other real or imaginary fools dreamt up or enabled by the Nigerian hegemonic deep-state to try and ‘factionalise’ and demonise IPOB in the eyes of Ndigbo, the rest of Nigeria, and the international community! Discerning minds will understand there’s a reason, that is besides wanting their pound of flesh, for refusing to release Mazi Kanu! They want to perfect their propaganda against the secessionist organisation, and this gentle schmuck is part of the script!
