I have worked in clinical care for hiv patients and still do. That's why I am not amused by any pausing. People are in pain

Again, true, there are poor people on the streets. In fact, one doesn't necessarily need to be poor to be in need. Rich people run into needs too, sometimes needs that money can't sort out.

But, again, helpers are entirely free to choose whether or not to act in that capacity. There is no blame existing anywhere in the world to cast at them...especially when they have been helping for decades.

My natural reaction to the news of America's withdrawal as we've all read here is deep sadness. I do feel for those that will be directly or indirectly affect (note that WE ALL will be affected, directly or indirectly). But, I had to establish objectivity; these guys have done a whoooooolllleee lot for us and other nations like us. I surely cannot blame them for their decision. Nope. May I not stand any day to throw blames at anyone that once helped me in the past...yeah, it's how I see it.

What is even more annoying is that if our leaders were serious, we would most likely be able to cater for our PLHIVs. It's just a matter of proper planning and honesty; these ingredients, sadly, are lacking in the heads of our politicians. We are not like any other nation that may be truly unable to cater for their PLHIVs.

May God help us all.

If secession come to pass how does it help u? Most of the HIV grants are stolen by institutional fraudsters...Trump will bring sanity into the HIV sector by force so only those who need the aid get it

No before this they had so much talk about not needing votes to win. Elon himself said he’ll go to prison if he fails and Trump loses. He called it before voting was over on his private app. Democrats are too proper. They won’t make any official claims until they have incontrovertible proof. They dont want to be compared to republicans. Even though everyone can clearly see the truth. Well I can’t cry more than the bereaved. The people who will most negatively affected by Trump are his voters.

USAID has suspended funding for its operations in Africa and other developing countries. Hope this does not affect those working in the NGO sector, the US is one of the largest donors for humanitarian causes worldwide including the WHO. Many states in the Northern part of the country rely on NGOs to survive.

Even with the free medication, some see it as a burden not to talk about to start buying it. This will negatively affect Nigeria if the halt is permanent
