Trump said it and everyone is carrying the news that MIcrosoft is in consideration to acquire TikTok. For a guy that lies as he breaths, this news should be taken with a pinch of salt until when corroborated from other reputable sources (with possible knowledge of such a deal). Not to mention that the whole narrative of TikTok being a national security concern or privacy issues is the exact thing that Meta and other Big Tech do in the US. But because they are US companies, they can do no wrong.

They're already competing, the US wants to have control of their citizens data especially if it's a Chinese app.

Remember it was banned outright by hidden and trump as a business man saw an opportunity to have It and still make 50 percent of it American owned so it won't have a total Chinese control.

But don't worry, 😁 if the deal is not accepted it will be totally banned as you wish and I bet you, tik too would rather have a cut of American market than loose it.

And if America succeeds it'll set a precedent where all EU nations or five eye nations would start to behave same way and tik tok may have to divest or fold in those countries.
