Is it mandatory to submit a Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) for a Schengen visa application?
Does not providing a Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) affect visa approval?

And no update on the visa application. Several emails have been sent to the embassy, yet no response. Calls have been placed to TLS, that was not helpful either. This is so heartbreaking… it’s been over 6 weeks. Please any suggestions on how I can retrieve my international passport?

Hello everyone, please has anyone been able to book legalization and DoV on the new booking platform?

Also what is the best way efficiently book both together, or it has to be one after the other?

I really don't have any idea why the tourist schengen Visa for Italy process has being delaying lately, I am a frequent traveller, my last visa for tourist lawyer was for one year, I only used it just o ce and spent 2 months. The visa will be expired 31st January and I have applied for another visa why my current was still valid, because my new trip is to be February 2025 and my previous visa is to expire 31st January 2025. I applied since 2nd of January to travel Feb 13th 2025, I am yet to get back mu passport. So just excesse more patient hopefully you hear from them first week of February. I am still on a waiting list like you too

That is like 40/50 days to recieve your passport back. From Italy Tourist visa. Processing is taking much longer than it used to be. The longest I have seen was 30 days Processing, but not I am hearing and seeing much longer delays. Well we should keep hope alive.

Hello sholzyy, how many days did his application took to be approved?
Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 8:01pm On Feb 04, 2025
You better be patient. I submitted on the 9th of December and I haven’t heard anything till now. It’s even a renewal because I was there last year.

🥹🥹🥹🥹 but why they say average 15 calendar days hmmm me think will be fast last France visa hmm
Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 9:08pm On Feb 04, 2025
France is just like the UK, organized and fast. Italian Embassy is not that efficient in Nigeria. I can’t wait to collect my passport. I will never step in that building again.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 2:47am On Feb 05, 2025
Hmmm did I just hear someone say that he applied since December 9th for visa? Which type of visa did you applied for? My10 years of going to Europe and applying for Italian visa as tourist, I have never come across such a processing time frame. The highest I have seen was just 30 days delay, the rest are below the 15 days given and maybe 20/ or 23 days. How are you so comfortable that your passport has being with them for almost 2 fucking month and you are here doing nothing. This is ridiculous to speak of.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 2:54am On Feb 05, 2025
Or do you mean to say the 9th of January 2025?

you send them email as well?
I’m frequent traveler and should normally be quick but I hear from someone there, say the treatment timeless is equal with Italy but that’s sad!
Since December you say, mine applied on 10/01
Transfered on 13/01 and can’t wait imagine yours
Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 8:31am On Feb 05, 2025
Incase anyone is doubting, you can view the attached image to see the date I submitted my application.

Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 9:23am On Feb 05, 2025
Are you sure it was the Italian embassy, because the last visa I got from them took exactly 44 days. I don’t know what could be the problem this time. Some people are saying the reason could be the fact that I applied during the holiday season. I’m tired, going to TLS again to ask.

I can see the attachment , are frequent traveler?
Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 12:49pm On Feb 05, 2025
Yeah, I have been to the UK twice and Italy once, I still have a valid 2 years UK visa. So I think I qualify as a frequent traveller.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 1:36pm On Feb 05, 2025
I don't think anyone is doubting you brother, is just a shocking situation that someone has applied since December 9th for a schengen visa and not even a spouse's visa, tourist visa precisely. I have written twice to the Italian embassy no response, called many times. Number not working, called tls Lagos, their number disconnected just as the Italian embassy too. Now I have sent an email to tls requesting for more clarification why the delay, but no response yet. This is unacceptable and unbelievable. But what can one do than to keep patience alive and wait. My vacation date is 13th February.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 1:40pm On Feb 05, 2025
I have Hart over 13 schengen visa from this same embassy, one with German embassy, none of this visa that I have to wait this long. This is why I am surprised. Thanks everyone for sharing your situation too here. We are allnin thus and I pray soon we shall all smile and walk pass this.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 2:29pm On Feb 05, 2025
This is the response from the visa consulate section Italy.

Re: Italy Visa by makeba122(m): 2:38pm On Feb 05, 2025
I was there again this morning. I was told to write the embassy for status.
Re: Italy Visa by juddy234: 5:12pm On Feb 05, 2025
Well Makaba. I know how frustrating this is to you, even to the rest of us here too. You saw the response from the embassy stating it was due to high volume of applications received but how was that the main reasons because someone here posted that he submitted on the 16th December 2024 and passport back 28th of January 2025, yours was since on the 9th of December 2024 or am I missing something here?
