This is the problem with the Nigerian government. A NIGERIAN airline had a problem and what you do is immediately suspend operations, while United Airlines had a problem last week, and because it's American, they left it to continue operating. Is that the way to do things? Why stop all their planes from operating for 3 months because of a single non-fatal accident? Wetin concern tire blowing with 3 months suspension for an airline with 10 Planes ? Will they do the same thing if the airline was owned by their tribesman? Has air peace been suspended during any of their various mishaps? Even in the USA, Delta and United had issues earlier this month, yet the government did not disrupt business by banning them. They will end up destroying the Nigerian airline industry like they have destroyed everything else. |

Was it negligence on the side of max air to warrant suspension? So govt needs a whole 3 months to investigate a blown tyre! |

Na today? Is this the first time of Max air having a technical mishap and being suspended? This 3-month suspension will only last till next week. You want to suspend Alhaji Mangals airline? A man Yar'adua had to beg to stop smuggling and become a legit businessman? A man Buhari fears? Keyamo will learn the hard way. |

fergie001:Max Air has a habit of cutting corners with safety, and now they want a three-month break to "review operations"? They should be banned completely! Enough of risking people’s lives. The authorities need to stop playing nice and revoke their license for good. |

Why the suspension for three months though? Isn't that such a long time for the investigation and for the airline to be out of business? |
| Re: FG suspends MaxAir's Operations For 3 Months Following Tyre-bust Incident by dalongjnr: 4:47pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
Element of witch hunting. That's not fair. Last week, there was an incident with a major foreign airline in this country but their services were not suspended or their operations audited. That's double standard. That's why the whites 👀 us as inferior. |

Bola4boy:Proactive after tyre has blown out already? You need to go and read up the meaning of “proactive” This is a reactive govt! |

themosthigh:nothing can never satisfy some set of people. If government no take action you wail, if they take action you wail more. A recurring incidence as such needs to be investigated. Na Air plane no be God is good motor. |

| Re: FG suspends MaxAir's Operations For 3 Months Following Tyre-bust Incident by eldoradoxx: 4:53pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
themosthigh:Max Air has lately been involved in series of incidences and near misses showing that something is wrong somewhere. It is better to preserve lives by suspending their operations than allow it crash and kill people. Most air crashes in Nigeria in the past didn't just happen in a single day, they had near misses which the regulators did nothing about. Once symptoms like this start showing, a crash is imminent if nothing is done. |
| Re: FG suspends MaxAir's Operations For 3 Months Following Tyre-bust Incident by themosthigh: 4:53pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
Bola4boy:Apply the law equally. If you suspend one, suspend all. If you have to suspend, do 48 hour first and extend if necessary. Why 3 months? |

themosthigh:That particular plane had problems last year and almost crashed. The former Sultan of Sokoto died in a plane crash. The lives of Northerners are very important and idiots like you would not be allowed to gamble with the Arewa lives. |
| Re: FG suspends MaxAir's Operations For 3 Months Following Tyre-bust Incident by nedekid: 4:56pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
Bola4boy:He has a valid point. Following your line of thought, should united airline have been shutdown for 3 months for their recent near mishap? There are better way of carrying out an audit over a burst tyre than shutting down an airline for 3 months unless there are more concerns not being disclosed. |
| Re: FG suspends MaxAir's Operations For 3 Months Following Tyre-bust Incident by Thewrath: 4:56pm On Jan 29, 2025 |
Bola4boy:Am sure there is an agency under the aviation ministry taxed with the job of doing routine inspection of aircraft….when you factor in the nigerian factor, you realize that those in charge have sat down and shared money, neglecting their routine inspections and money has exchanged hands. |
